Pear Tree House in Wesham is a first class care home. Excellent staff/food/carers/nurses. Nothing is too much trouble and I have been impressed by the organisation of my mum's care. Pear Tree is the best home I have seen and know that everything is being done for mum's wellbeing/comfort/quality of life. No reservations in recommending Pear Tree.

My mum has stayed for respite periods of up to 8 weeks at a time (for roughly 2 years now) and she has always been well cared for and treated with respect. The rooms at The Pear Tree House are homely, modern and clean and have comfy beds, TVs, mini-fridge, ensuite bathroom and nice views of the garden. The premises are always kept clean and tidy and they have a lobby that resembles a hotel lobby. There are no unpleasant odours and it always smells fresh. The Pear Tree was decorated in a lovely fashion at Christmas which is fantastic for residents and relatives. There is a hair salon, small cinema and several lounges, garden rooms and dining areas. Food is lovely and residents have menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a snack menu which can be requested. The care home has good and easy access to GPs, chiropodists and opticians, so this is a major benefit. The home is also secure, so people can't leave or have access without staff permission. I feel very content for them to look after my mum.

My uncle is happy and safe. He is well cared for and treated with respect from all members of staff. They understand his needs and therefore are able to reassure him if he needs it. The staff are also good at ensuring we are happy with his care and keep us informed of any changes.

Pear Tree House is a lovely warm, welcoming place with a sincerely caring staff. Each resident is treated with great respect and as an individual, any idiosyncrasies are known and dealt with without problem. Every person employed there knows the name of each resident and engages readily with them, they are also kind and helpful to visitors. My Dad has been a resident since November 2024 and I am confident that he is happy and content there. His strength has improved and he is encouraged to do what he is able to do with the knowledge and reassurance that there is always somebody there to help. His carers have given him back his dignity, he is well-groomed, neat and tidy. Any health issues are dealt with immediately and we are kept well informed of any concerns. The facilities are excellent and the home is constantly being cleaned so it is spotless. The availability and choice of food is amazing with a very dedicated catering staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Pear Tree House.

The home has a friendly, homely feel, which is why we chose it. My uncle is well looked after and we are pleased with the care that he receives. He always looks presentable with clean clothes and a tidy appearance. The staff are always approachable and share information with us. We feel we are able to discuss any issues and they seem knowledgeable about our uncle. We have dined there with him and the food is excellent!

My mother moved into Pear Tree House in July 2024. We had viewed a number of alternative homes and I had ongoing experience with other care homes for my mother-in-law. Pear Tree House is a beautiful modern building. The rooms are nicely equipped with modern hospital-style beds and good quality fitted furniture. The ensuite bathrooms are perfect. The caring staff are established and very kind. Having seen the alternative homes in the area we are very pleased with our choice and feel happy to recommend the home.

We couldn't be happier with the whole experience at Pear Tree House. Every member of staff that we meet is so welcoming and professional, they treat the residents and visitors alike with respect and kindness. The home and its facilities provide everything that my aunt needs to support her physical and emotional needs, and we've watched her come out of her shell and relax significantly since she arrived. It is always a pleasure to visit my aunt now, and I leave knowing that she is in a very good, happy and safe place. Thank you to all the staff throughout the organisation for all that you do, we really appreciate it.

All staff are very nice and caring to my wife who has Alzheimer's dementia. She is treated with a great deal of respect and I consider Danforth Care home to be the best, possibly, in the North West. All the staff are very helpful in all aspects of care. They are all friendly and cheerful, no matter what they have had to deal with, regarding difficult people.

My mother is thriving in a caring environment with great carers and staff. There's always something going on with entertainment or activities or days out with themed meals and silver service adding to a great experience at meal times. Mum always looks clean and well dressed with her hair being done on a regular basis within the premises. Mum always looks comfortable in a homely environment making her stay here as enjoyable as possible. Mum is safe here, warm and well-fed, the basics that you want for a loved one.

No problems with Pear Tree House. My cousin has been looked after very well since she has been there, October 2023. The place is lovely and the staff are great. Every resident was given an Xmas present, which was a lovely thought. The food is good and the residents can book a room for their birthday and food is provided for their friends and relatives. Overall 10/10

Our aunt moved into Pear Tree House in mid-November. Only three weeks in and we are seeing such a huge positive difference in her wellbeing. The staff are all so caring, friendly, welcoming and kind, not only to our aunt but to all family and friends who visit.

This is a caring and loving environment for my dad. The staff place the residents front and centre. The surroundings are lovely and cannot be faulted. Dad's room is warm, comfy and a quiet place if you don't want to join in on occasion. More than happy with where he is at this time of life. When I go home I don't worry about how he is and how he is being treated. Very nice care home.

My mother resided at Pear Tree House for a respite break. During her time there, she was looked after very well indeed by staff who were attentive and genuinely caring. Her overall health at the end of her respite stay was much improved in all respects.

The staff at Pear Tree Care Home are extremely helpful, caring and compassionate. Mum has been a resident for 7 months and in that time she's had all her needs attended to and gets lots of attention. They made a special fuss of her on her birthday, making her a beautiful cake. She has a beautiful bedroom with an en-suite shower room. She loves the meals which are freshly prepared by their own chef and kitchen staff on site. They have lots of activities and people coming in to visit, this home is a wonderful place for our Mum to be (she has Alzheimer's). We are very happy with it.

My wife who suffers from dementia was made very welcome and soon settled in. Excellent carers, she was looked after and given attentive care during the two weeks that she stayed having respite care.

After viewing several care homes local to us we chose Pear Tree House for my mother-in-law to spend a couple of weeks respite to allow us time to visit friends. We were so glad that we did. Although we were nervous of our first trial of respite, we were so relieved to find that the experience was so rewarding. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the environment so welcoming and pleasant. My mother-in-law was really well looked after in a bright, spacious room with ensuite facilities that perfectly suited her mobility issues. As a new build care home it is obvious that it has been designed with thought. The building is bright and airy with large hallways and very comfortable rooms. The communal areas throughout are well-decorated with a homely feel. Needless to say it is spotlessly clean and well maintained and managed. We have only positive things to say about Pear Tree House and would certainly recommend to any of our friends in a similar situation.

My mum came to live at Pear Tree House in July 2023. She has received excellent care and settled in straight away. All of the staff members are very caring. Myself and mum have no complaints whatsoever. It's a warm homely place. I know my mum is happy and content and I know she is very well looked after and cared for.

My dad-in-law has been in Pear Tree House since mid-February and has settled in well. It is a beautiful and very comfortable place to live but it is the management and team who make it a 'home'. All the staff - no matter what their role - are very caring and friendly. When we visit Dad, we obviously see how they interact with other residents and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. We also very much appreciate the cheerful welcome and kindness we are shown when we visit. Unfortunately, Dad has had a few extra health issues of late and the attention and care he has been given has further confirmed to us that he is in the best place. Since going to live at Pear Tree, Dad has started to sing - something he has never done before! It is very reassuring to know that he is in a safe, happy and friendly environment.

Everyone at Pear Tree House was considerate and welcoming; treating my mother with great care and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home for any person in need of care. They were reactive to our need for support in a short timescale and went the extra mile to help us.
