The care and dedication the staff at Brook Lodge give to each resident is priceless. Everyone that goes through the entrance is made welcome. It is like home from home for a lot residents and they seem happy and comfortable. Cannot fault the care that was given to my relation whilst they were there.
My mother became a resident of Brook Lodge in February 2024 and it will be a year next month. We chose the care home as we were very impressed with the facilities and appearance of the home. We were particularly impressed with the management and all the care givers. They made a real fuss of Mum and made her feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. This is as true today, as then. It was a momentous event in Mum leaving her home and going into care and both Mum and ourselves were supported during this time. Visitors are made to feel welcome and can always contact the home if there are any concerns or just for an update. We like that the cost of the home is an inclusive cost that includes things such as weekly hairdressing, entertainment etc. As a family, we cannot rate Brook Lodge, highly enough and would encourage prospective residents and their families to look at the home as you won't be disappointed.
My husband was there for two weeks respite. The place is superb, it really is a 'home from home', The staff all seemed very happy working there and the residents all seemed happy and relaxed. The staff spoke to the residents with dignity. I liked the little touches i.e. clean tablecloths at each meal time and how everyone was given a meal choice. All the staff were kind, friendly, caring people who should be proud that they do the job so well. I'd have no worries should my husband have to spend his days there. Thank you to you all.
We are currently using Brook Lodge for day stays and respite, to be able to slowly introduce the home to our family member with dementia. The staff are very upbeat and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are helping our family member to settle in comfortably and safely. This home is highly rated by ourselves.
Mum has settled well at Brook Lodge. She has made friends and is able to communicate well with other residents. Brook Lodge is a calm, relaxing home and enjoys a dance and sing-along. Very happy with Mum's care so far.
My father initially came to the home on July 31st for a period of respite. He lived in his house on his own with care packages in place. From day one, he enjoyed the care and company of the home. I have been very pleased with the care and service my dad has received The staff I have encountered have been very caring and eager to help. There have been numerous occasions when I have reached out for help and information, all have been forthcoming. Very pleased.
Very friendly, helpful staff assisted with anything that I asked. The lodge feels clean, comfortable, luxurious and more like a place you would go on holiday. Residents look very well looked after. Would definitely recommend.
Staff are lovely and friendly, can't do enough to help and make you feel welcome, grandad's very happy, the residents are treated like family which is nice to see, happy he's enjoying his time, only thing is he enjoys more traditional food which isn't always available.
Really surprised on arrival at the quality of the home and the facilities on arrival. It has done nothing but improve since I have been here. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The facilities are excellent and events often arranged.
Brook Lodge is comfortably furnished with decorations tasteful and welcoming. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent and the dining areas look equal to a first-class restaurant. Brook Lodge has a pleasant and calming atmosphere brought about by its staff. Always working to help residents feel they are in a home-from-home.
Our mother-in-law has been here a few months now and she is so settled. On each visit, the staff are very welcoming and you can see the good rapport they have with the residents. There is always a craft activity happening as we are proudly shown the results. Even on St Patrick's Day they dressed up. A very warm, welcoming and safe place.
My mother has moved to this home recently after having a terrible experience with another care home locally. With late-stage Alzheimer's, we have been impressed with the support we have received from staff with settling my mother. The home is clean, spacious, inviting, and reasonably priced (for residential care) and the management has provided excellent support around self-funding options. Food is good and care is person-led. Engagement activities are developing as occupancy rises but staff do spend a good amount of time with residents to keep them engaged.
Our mother took up residence at Brook Lodge in January. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. The room is lovely, while a varied menu is available with the food prepared to a high standard. Highly recommended.
Food is good, but too much (need smaller plate please).
We were shown around and given lunch (preparing for Dad to go into the home - very distressing for us all). All the staff - the chef, manager, maintenance, carers, admin - absolutely everyone, were completely amazing! Dad was welcomed and so was Mum, my brother and I. We were given lunch, cakes, and drinks and made to feel like part of the family. Dad was made to feel at ease and was treated with such dignity and respect. An incredible home with a wonderful family feel. Not to mention the incredible facilities!
