View Full Details of Waterside Care CentreMy husband was cared for two months, he was so well looked after with such kindness and dignity. he always looked smart and well shaved his clothes always changed, the staff were always in there tending to his needs. He never asked to come home which is so comforting to us as a family. The end was rather sooner than was thought but the care was amazing both to him and to us as a family. The home, was very well staffed and the communications with staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. Lots of facilities there for residents.
The home is well run and staff training good. The staffing levels are good and the staff appear to be hard working and to cope well with the needs of all the residents who are all suffering from Dementia. Plenty of activities are provided. The standards of cleanliness is high. Over Christmas and New Year, there was the opportunity for relatives to join in the activities - Christmas party, Christmas, Boxing day and New Years Day lunch.
My husband was cared for from 20 July 2023 to 4 July 2024 when he died. I cannot praise the staff enough; they were all, without exception, gentle, kind, considerate and so very caring towards him. Staff members kept us informed of any GP or hospital visits he required and of changes in dietary regimes. The communication via staff from the home was excellent and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who may be considering placing a loved one into residential care.
Husband only been at Waterside for four weeks. However, he seems more contented and isn't asking constantly to come home. Staff very kind and attentive.
My husband moved into Waterside Care Home in January 2024. He had been in another care home for four and a half years but his dementia had worsened to the stage where they could no longer look after him. Waterside has proved to be an excellent choice for him. The staff are caring and attentive and he is always well-presented whenever I visit. He settled down very quickly, is always calm, and enjoys the food that is provided. The staff are very considerate towards me and keep me informed about everything that I need to know. I am very grateful to all of them and can highly recommend Waterside.
My father, now 91, has been a resident for many years and I believe he is as realistically comfortable and well cared for as he could be. He keeps going so he must be content and comfortable. The attention and care that I witness is professional, courteous and is well-communicated. I am immensely grateful for all you do.
My husband of 63 years marriage has been in Waterside for 2 years. He is in the last stages of dementia, but the staff are very caring and lovely. He is always clean and tidy after I visit him each week.
When my mother was first admitted she was very distressed and agitated. Within a matter of days she had calmed down due to the love, care and attention she received. Both the care staff and the office staff were very helpful and supportive to us, answering our queries, particularly when she passed away. We cannot recommend highly enough the care and support provided by Waterside. Thank you so much.
My nan has been living at Waterside for the past year and I was very impressed with the care given. This was the first time I visited the home and felt very reassured by the manager that Nan had settled in well and had formed relationships with the residents. I observed my Nan doing an activity with a member of staff and all residents looked happy and settled. I was able to leave Waterside knowing that my nan was being well looked after. I enjoy seeing their posts on their up-to-date online page. I would like to thank all the staff that work at Waterside care home for all their hard work, you all do an amazing job.
My grandad was a wonderful man who deserved the best - that was what the staff at Waterside provided. Grandad called Waterside home for nearly 7 years, staff became family and in the last week we spent with Grandad - although heartbreaking it was evident we had extended family. Grandad was always clean and tidy, and well looked after and staff always had his best interests at heart. We've seen new staff and old staff but in the end, it was the whole team that came together. The staff were compassionate, caring, kind, and sensitive and went out of their way to make us comfortable. (It can't of been easy as we're a big family). It wasn't just the care staff either, it was the chef, the lady who does activities, the laundry people with kind words, the handyman, the cleaners, the admin staff. All were so kind and it touched our hearts massively. We'll be in soon to see you all. Keep up the hard work guys, real-life angels who make a huge difference. Grandad thought the world of you.
My wife is cared for so well. It's so reassuring when you leave after visiting (peace of mind).
My husband moved here in September 2023 from another home and since being here, the staff have done more for him here than anywhere else. As a result, he seems very settled, far less agitated and at times more willing to take part in social activities. The care and attention that all staff have given him and others in my eyes outstanding and they have been so supportive to me during what was a stressful time of having to make the move here. Staff always keep me up to date with his care and already I have attended seasonal events so that I can feel a part of the Waterside family.
We are very happy with the care and welcome our relative (and we) received at Waterside. It is a bonus that the food is excellent and that he has his own room with a private loo and washbasin. We appreciate the dignity and independence he is given and also the gentle persuasive way he is encouraged to have regular bathes, trips out, medication etc., especially when he doesn't want to do something. Also, it is lovely he can come to our own home in Malvern on a weekly basis for coffee and tea etc.
I found the resident's kind care and nursing outstanding. My husband was so fortunate to have been very looked after during his time at Waterside Care Home. I always received a friendly welcome when visiting. All my questions were answered.
Mum has been residing at Waterside for several years now. As a family, we have been very pleased with the care and attention provided. The staff are always welcoming and happy to discuss mum's care. Mum has advanced care needs and Waterside is absolutely the best place for her to receive the care she needs.
My father has been at Waterside Care Centre for 14 months by May of this year he was coming to end of life. Throughout his time at Waterside, he was cared for so well as his needs changed over time. He was always given great respect, and love all the time, the family also received wonderful support as his illness progressed. Thank you.
My father moved into Waterside 14 months ago, with his dementia was able to walk in the garden, enjoy the food and entertainment. In the last few months of his life, he became bedbound, and all the staff were amazing at keeping him as comfortable as they could, with many smiles and a real feeling that they were all so kind and professional. Dad was always shaved, clean and the room was kept tidy and as a visitor, we were always welcomed.
Putting dad into care was the hardest decision; let’s be honest you hear some awful stories and having tried to look after him I knew I had no choice. After a long search, I was offered Waterside Care Centre and I am so glad I waited 4 months for the right one. They have made the whole experience more acceptable, the care is second to none. Dad looks better than he has for a long time I cannot fault the care he receives from the team. The activities to stimulate his mind, the staff are so caring and thoughtful, the regular updates keep me informed, his interaction with others is amazing, why was I worried with sleepless nights as there was no need. I am truly grateful to Waterside for making this decision less painful, for giving me reassurance that he has the 24/7 care he so rightly deserves and if he was able to understand why he was there, he would be equally grateful. Thank you.
The manager was very helpful and caring with my husband. She dealt with all the family and visits in a most professional and friendly manner. She also gave me a lot of advice and helped to arrange for my husband's room to be a home from home.
The service of Waterside Care Centre has been really excellent. My partner was looked after for a week to give me respite and she came home looking more lively and refreshed. Before her visit, the manager made a personal visit to see us at home, which is way beyond any other respite care has ever done in the past. And once she was at Waterside, the staff phoned me to say that she was with them and being looked after. So excellent planning, care and communication.
