View Full Details of Redlands HouseI was immediately phoned on my wife's transfer from hospital and made welcome on my first visit when I was reassorted about the care she would be given. That reassurance proved correct. All the staff seemed very kind and attentive to her needs and they got her to eat (which she failed to do in hospital). I have the comfort of feeling that she is in good hands.
Such a lovely care home. Friendly staff who genuinely care about my Nan. It's always clean and smells lovely and I'm really happy my Nan found Redlands. The activities are engaging for her and the communication with relatives is excellent. You can visit whenever is convenient for you and always feel welcomed.
As the daughter of a resident in Redlands, all I can say it is the friendliest home I have ever been in. He eats, drinks, and dances and is very happy here. Thank you so much to all of you.
I visit my Grandad alongside other family members. He seems to have settled well and enjoys having a laugh, particularly with staff members. Very homely atmosphere and appears to have settled well very quickly!
Clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and it's a happy home.
My grandad was admitted to Relands House on a temporary basis for assessment for a six-week period. When he was admitted he had very limited mobility, was very anxious and had lost his ability to recall his long-term memory. When we visited after two weeks, he was walking with his walking frame with confidence, chatting with confidence and told us all about his routine at Redlands and the activities he'd been doing. Thank you to all at Redlands House for this amazing change in him.
My husband has been in the home for 3 months. The home was recommended to me and I felt that it was very homely. I have watched the staff interacting with the residents and the care they take. The manager's door is always open and I feel very welcome there. My husband loves the food and seems to be settled which is a great relief to me as I struggled to cope with his Alzheimers at home.
Mum has been very well looked after. The staff are very patient and caring under some challenging circumstances. There are many activities that she can participate in and since being here she is more settled. She is always dressed and out of her room. I would highly recommend Redlands.
My friend is always comfortable. Always clean and cared for with feeling. The room always smells fresh, bed linen is very clean and regularly changed. Their personal care, hair brushing, fingernails and toenails are kept neat and sometimes painted. The staff are all very pleasant and approachable.
Absolutely fantastic place. I couldn't ask for anywhere better for my gran to be. The care and quality of the room is amazing.
Care Home Redlands House, Reepham Road, Hellesdone. Run well and efficiently organised. Pleasant surroundings.
By November, Mum had been a resident here for 11 months. During this time, we saw care and compassion shown, not just to Mum but to us as her family too. Mum enjoyed the activities such as colouring and the visits from outsiders such as Friend in Deed as well as the summer fete. Sadly, Mum passed away but we will be forever grateful for everything Redlands did for her and us too especially in making her final days as comfortable as they could be.
I am so pleased to have found Redlands House. A small home where everyone is a cared for individual. The lovely staff are amazing, like a family. Before moving here, Mum had become withdrawn and insular. She has been gently encouraged and now chooses to join the others at meals and in the sitting room where she takes a great interest in various activities such as bowls, visiting pets and especially the playgroup. The weight lifted from my shoulders seeing her so happy, content and well cared for.
My grandad has been residing here since mid-December, initially through health funding but now in a private arrangement whilst we find somewhere closer to home. Redlands is an amazing home, the staff are so friendly and helpful, they have cared for Grandad with dignity and respect, and understand what his care needs are. When we visit we are greeted with a smile, offered a hot drink, and generally made to feel very welcome. Grandad tells us how good the food is and how he is offered a choice every day. His bedroom is lovely, a good size, nicely decorated and with nice clean new furniture. There is also an en-suite wet room. Everything he could need. Grandad is not one to mix or join in activities, however, staff do pop in regularly for a chat and to check he is ok. Overall this home is excellent, I only wish it was closer to family & my Nanny so we could make this a permanent place for Grandad to live. We would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
Very poor experience. Was told I was going to rehab with daily physio - sent by NHS. Carers were caring but there were too few of them so left for long periods of time without assistance when called for. The place was inappropriate for my needs as was the room - not designed for any independence, e.g. no grab rails (nor in bathroom). Didn't get physio until I threatened to discharge myself but there was no physiotherapist on site. Some carers were inadequately trained and didn't have enough English to understand what I was asking for. Other residents left to feed themselves when they needed help. Only generic practices. Noise levels awful, day and night.
My dad was at Redlands House for respite recently. I was really upset about him having to go, but found Redlands very welcoming and friendly. All staff were understanding and friendly. They updated me regularly. Dad always looked well looked after. Other residents seemed happy. I felt very welcomed when visiting. I felt supported too.
Mum is well cared for and treated with dignity. She enjoys her food. The staff are friendly and kind. This month she has been taken out on several visits and lots of interesting visitors have come to enrich the lives of the residents. The changes seem to be due to a new manager in the home. Mum now has much more to tell us when we visit.
Our dad came to Redlands after being in the hospital and we are both so pleased and grateful for the care he has received in such a homely environment. Staff members have kept us up to date with any matters. We cannot thank the staff at Redlands enough for their care and support.
We have noticed over the last few months how these have improved for the best it's so nice how things are being done with residents now. My brother loved his trip out. The staff are really friendly and overall a breath of fresh air.
Visited Redlands House for the first time, to see my sister-in-law who's here on respite. She appeared very happy and settled very well. The management team are excellent, staff are great. Rooms are excellent, clean. Environment is really good and would love my sister-in-law to live here permanently. I cannot fault the home as everything looks perfect.
