View Full Details of The VineriesMum has been in vineries since April and I couldn't have found a better place for her. Every single member of staff from top to bottom are fantastic, in every possible way. Their care, patience, friendliness etc are all exemplary, it's impossible for me to find a single bad thought about any of them or of the entire establishment. I feel extremely comfortable in the fact that my mum is in the best place and is safe and being looked after. Greatly appreciated.
My sister-in-law went into The Vineries Care Home in 2022 as she had broken her wrist and needed daily care. She stayed in there for nearly 2 years until she sadly passed away with a Brain Tumour in March 2024. Not only was the manager and every one of her staff so kind, helpful, compassionate and caring to her throughout, but to us as her family too. Always accessible. Top marks to all, through everything with many thanks from her brother and myself.
My mum was a long-time resident in The Vineries and she sadly passed away recently. I can never thank the kind caring staff enough for how well they looked after her, especially during her last months when she was becoming so poorly. Every single member of staff was so kind to Mum and me, indeed they looked after me too, always welcoming no matter the time of day or night. Mum was happy and content in this lovely care home, she retained her dignity and enjoyed the company of both residents and staff. Nothing was too much trouble and I used to look forward to visiting Mum, they definitely kept her going. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a secure and happy caring place for themselves or a relative.
My mother lived in the Vineries for two and a half years. Obviously, Mum and ourselves were worried about the situation beforehand. However, there was no need to be. From the beginning of her stay there, she was made to feel very welcome by the amazing staff and also the other residents. She was very comfortable and happy. Due to her illness, she found it hard to join in with activities, but this wasn't a problem as the staff always went the extra mile in including her the best they could. Whenever we rang, we could always speak to her or ask the staff questions. Whenever we visited Mum, she was always clean and happy. The home always looked and smelt clean. We were always informed immediately of any health issues or doctor visits. It is reassuring to know that a loved one is being cared for so lovingly and well. From the carers to management, we couldn't be more grateful.
My nanny has been living at the care home for several years and I wanted to say what a lovely place it is. Whenever I visited, the staff were always so lovely and caring, both to my nanny and to myself. She loved her time there and her whole face lit up when she saw certain members of staff. I believe she was truly comfortable there and that means so much. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff that cared for my nanny. I'll miss you all.
My Mum has been living in The Vineries for the last 4 weeks. She has advanced dementia and we as a family were very concerned about how she would settle. In truth, it was us that struggled more than she did. The management and staff have made it so easy. They are to start with the most professional people that I have dealt with but above that, they are kind, caring and totally reassuring people. My Mum has taken to the change remarkably well. She is happy and contented which is all we could ask for. This I’m sure is down to how the home is managed and the recruitment of amazing but appropriate staff. A huge thank you to all.
My mother was a resident in The Vineries for over 9 years, during that time up until COVID hit, I was visiting regularly. The staff were always friendly, caring, and nothing was too much trouble. If I had any worries, I would ring anytime and they would sort it out. During COVID they adapted so well to all of the new regulations. When Mum came out of the hospital, they worked so hard to get her back on her feet, they couldn’t have tried any harder if she had been one of their own family. The last couple of weeks, with testing and PPE, I was allowed to sit with her in her room, the compassion shown to me and Mum was unbelievable. The night she died, me and my family were with her, we were looked after so efficiently and kindly that we won’t ever forget that care and love we were given. The staff are so lovely, I am going to miss them as they became a big part of my life as well. Thank you all, you lovely people. Worth your weight in gold. Truly angels.
What can I say? My dad has just spent a few months in the Vineries after a spell in hospital. Right from the offset, we were kept involved in every aspect of his care. Right down from the manager and the staff have all been lovely. The care my dad has received has been exemplary and it’s thanks to them he is strong enough to come home.
