View Full Details of Barchester Spen Court Care HomeMum was really going down hill fast and needed extra care which we couldn't provide at home , after five weeks at Spen Court she is blooming Up & dressed eating regular beautifully cooked meals she has a new interest in life & what is going on around her The staff are marvellous & can't do enough for her As a family we would recommend Spen Court to anyone with an elderly relative who needs extra care
Mum had become uninterested and lost her appetite and was visibly going down hill. No energy and generally couldn't be bothered. Within the first week she had perked up and was eating again, not much at a time, but always made from fresh ingredients. She was also given her tablet at the right time and encouraged to take them
Visiting a dear friend that went into Barchester Spen Court Care Home. Since my last visit, I have seen a large difference in her, she seems much happier and healthier, it's a bit of weight off my mind that she is being cared for and getting back to her old self and I am sure she will go from strength to strength from now on.
All staff are very welcoming, efficient and pleasant. Mum's room was nice and had en-suite facilities, Barchester Spen Court Care Home is a nice place to walk into. Mum said the food was very good. She wants to return when we need care services again and we will arrange it. Nothing is too much for the staff when you ask them questions. A very good care home.
Barchester Spen Court Care Home was excellent in every respect. Standards are very high in all areas and we were particularly touched by the great kindness shown not only to my mother but to our whole family. Thank you very much.
This care home has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere - all staff and management made every effort to put us at ease. I can't praise the staff enough for the care and attention given to my mother-in-law.
Always a friendly atmosphere when I visit the home. The staff are very friendly too. They really look after my mum with all her needs.
The staff were very helpful and kind. Always friendly and considerate. I found them very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Everything seems to be satisfactory and the only problem we can see is the home could do with a good full-time cook.
Fantastic!
Friendly, very welcome.
Every time I've visited I feel welcome. Everybody is very helpful. Clean, tidy, and friendly. Menus look appetising. The resident seems as happy as he could be under the circumstances.
The staff at Spen Court are excellent! Coming to visit my grandma here feels like I am visiting her actual home. The care is totally personal to each individual that I have witnessed. Staff know family members by name and welcome and include families with activities and go above and beyond to cater for individual needs.
My mum came to Barchester Spen Court Care Home for respite following a fall at home. From the minute my mum went into Spen Court, we were treated with respect and compassion. My mum is still in Spen Court but still hoping to return to her own home. The staff there are amazing, they work together very professionally but also as one, making visiting and the stay for Mum a welcoming experience. Well done to everyone who works at the home, I wouldn't change the staff and care at all. Fantastic teamwork.
Every visit warming, welcoming staff.
Friendly staff who are very caring - the staff are very welcoming! I enjoy visiting my mum and having a chat with the residents and staff. My mum has only just joined the home but it already feels like home when we visit her. A huge thank you to all the staff are Barchester Spen Court Care Home!
All staff members are hardworking and deserve a massive pay rise for what they have to put up with. The costs for the home/care are so very high that you charge but you pay the staff as little as possible. Reward your staff better, you wouldn't do the job yourself.
Staff are very friendly and have made the transition for not only my grandma but us, as a family, simple and easy. They have welcomed us all! Could not ask for better members of staff to care for my grandma, they cannot do enough. They deserve a pay rise. They care for all residents like family members rather than just part of their job. I enjoy coming to the care home. Cannot thank them enough! The staff are an asset to Barchester and make this care home.
My experience of Barchester Spen Court Care Home is excellent. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Their standard of care is exceptional and they do everything to make your visit a comfortable experience, helping where necessary.
My mum went into Barchester Spen Court Care Home for one week of respite care. We chose it because of the location and having a visit, it seemed like the perfect fit however during her stay, though she was well fed and generally cared for, she hadn't been showered other than by my sister-in-law and was in the same clothes for five days which she appeared to have slept in. Once here, I discovered she had no underwear on. Whilst I appreciate she can't be made to do things, I do believe some encouragement is needed.
