My nan is a resident here. She loves it they do so much for the residents. The staff go out of their way. Christmas time was lovely staff put on a brilliant party and food and really got residents into the Christmas spirit. Rooms are lovely and cleaned really well. The grounds are lovely and we love sitting in the garden when the sun is out. The home is clean and always looks so inviting. My nan loves the food all home-cooked by the chef. Entertainment is great my nan loves the events the home put on . My nan loves it here and wouldn't have her anywhere else. Keep up the amazing work you do.
I have been refused access to see my friend from early November until today. The resident had no other visitors. She died (I think unnecessarily) this morning and I was informed of the death by the power of attorney who had never visited her in her residence of 4/5 years. The reason for refusal was delivered to me by staff who said 'It's confidential'. I do believe that there may well have been a medical reason for her death but I think that having visited her nearly every week for the past two years, my non-appearance for two months meant that her quality of life reached a very low point. I do believe the cause of refusal was initiated by the Manager's husband (Maintenance Manager) who objected to me waking my friend from a doze, by poking me in the arm with his finger. I remonstrated for his assault. You have, as a result of this death, lost a good paying resident.
