View Full Details of Abbeymere Care CentreThe staff go beyond their duties to make the residents feel wanted and loved.
I thank you for the care given to my mum by all the staff - my mum has been a resident at Abbeymere for over 18 months - she became bedbound last August and needs full personal care. Also all her meals are fed to her. The entire staff are so very kind to Mum. Her many needs are attended to promptly and with great respect. Old age and dementia mean that Mum can be very difficult and demanding. The staff are all simply wonderful and provide all she needs.
The care staff at Abbeymere are beyond compare. They treated my dad with great care, humour, and respect. Dad was there for the last three months of his life and I know that he was able to die with love and dignity around him. As I live in the US, I was comforted knowing he was living in a place that truly felt like home. Dad was able to spend his last few months among people who treated him as a dear friend, with whom he could laugh, tell stories and feel taken care of. I was able to visit him several times at Abbeymere and always felt welcomed by the staff. I will be forever grateful to all of them.
My dad spent just over two months at Abbeymere. He sadly passed away in January having had dementia for the last years of his life. Despite his challenging behaviour towards the end of his life, the staff at Abbeymere humbled me with their dedication and devotion to him. They are a truly remarkable group of people. I cannot speak highly enough of all of them. I don't know all the staff's names but a huge thanks to several in particular and each and every other staff member especially the night shift ladies who I know had a few difficult times with my dad. I would recommend Abbeymere to anybody. Warm, homely and a true family atmosphere.
The home is very good. Carers very good. I can't fault the home.
This is a brilliant care home, we knew as soon as we walked through the door, we were so pleased when mum was offered a place. Nothing was too much trouble and the care she received was excellent. Mum wasn't there for long but I am confident that her last months were in the best possible place. She died in her room and the staff could not have been more supportive.
Excellent all around, staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. Nothing is too much trouble, lovely homely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend. Father was sent there as part of his respite step down. He loved it and was sad to leave, he even put on two pounds in weight. The staff really looked after him.
A very well-managed establishment. Residents are treated like family. There is a clean, warm, and friendly environment experience on each visit. We are confident that our relative is receiving very good care.
A very well-run, warm, friendly home.
Mom had been here four and a half years. Her care and individual needs were met with kindness and sensitivity. The staff and management are second to none. Excellent and professional, making the residents' environment familial. During lockdown and restricted visiting the staff did a splendid job in keeping the residents safe and 'upbeat'. The garden is being reimaged and improvements and modernisation of communal rooms have taken place.
On all visits, I have found the staff very friendly and caring. Moms room is always clean and tidy and bed linen is changed often and always looks fresh. I am updated on any visits from Doctors, chiropodists, hairdressers etc. Most important is that my mom is happy.
I had a serious fear of nursing homes until my mum came to this one last year, the staff here are amazing, they go beyond the call of duty. Two members of staff in particular, are a great team, they do everything and beyond to make the residents feel at home. All the staff and team are simply amazing if you have a fear of nursing homes you will have peace of mind here.
Very pleased with this care centre for my aunt. We were recommended by someone and was not disappointed. Staff excellent, nice room, happy atmosphere, liked there being a cat "Rambo", I think this is important makes it feel like home. Would definitely recommend. The manager is very helpful, so was the care worker so were other staff but not aware of their names. Well done.
I believe my Mother is receiving excellent care and attention which she has done since January 2017. She was sent for respite after a bad fall at home. She enjoyed being there and she moved in as a permanent resident without returning home. My Brothers and I are convinced that she has a much better quality of life since living in Abbeymere and we only still have her because of their care.
My dad is a resident at this care home. He is very well looked after and he is very happy here. He has just changed rooms to one downstairs with an en-suite. The carers are lovely to each and every resident - the level of care they give is exceptional. The food is great with a very wide choice on the menu. I visit the home 5 times a week and we are always made very welcome. My Dad is disabled and his mobility is quite poor but the care he gets is fantastic. He is very well cared for.
A very friendly care home with reasonable rates. My father has settled in well and seems to be enjoying the home.
Mum has been here for almost four months. She has settled really well after a few issues to begin with, due to her illness. She looks much healthier and happier recently.
My mother has been living in the care home for just over twelve months. Ij that time she has received the best of care. Staff are caring, supportive and approachable. Any health concerns she has are dealt with immediately and as her daughter, I am kept informed which gives me peace of mind.
My mother is really happy and I have noticed a great improvement in her well-being. The staff go beyond what is expected of them.
