Mum has been at Berkeley for just over a year now. The knowledge that she is getting such wonderful care is so reassuring. She had carers at her flat but obviously the time between calls was very worrying. She has settled in wonderfully much to my surprise at first. The staff are wonderful and she engages in the activities. The home is so clean and never any smells that you may associate with this environment. I cant recommend them enough.
My mum is a full time resident and if the staff are worried about her in any circumstances they always ring and inform me. They are a brilliant team on floor one. They always go above and beyond. The girls who do the entertainment are wonderful. Whenever I arrive to see my mum, the reception and office staff always greet you with a smile. All staff are available for a quick chat if you need one, everyone is very caring. The caretaker is fantastic at getting any jobs you might need doing in the rooms, a credit to everyone.
My mum has been in Berkeley House Care Home since June last year. Every member of staff have been lovely with my mum. The facilities and surroundings are lovely. The activities team are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and always makes me feel welcome when visiting.
My grandad has been a resident in Berkeley House since May 2024, it was a hard decision moving out of his home but it was the best decision we could have made! All the staff are so kind, caring and friendly and go above and beyond for all the residents in the home. There are a range of activities daily and entertainment from different singers most weeks where everyone joins together, it's so nice to see all the residents singing along and how happy they all are! My grandad's favourite is when Millie the therapy dog comes for a visit.
On the whole, my mother's care is top-notch. The home is lovely and the staff are very caring and friendly. My mother, although nearly blind, is very independent and has made many friends but if ever she is ill the staff really take care of her. Like most things, there is always room for improvement.
My father has had four respite visits to Berkeley House Care Home over the past year. He has always been looked after and cared for by the wonderful staff at this home. The home is clean, well maintained and well run. On a couple of occasions, the respite has been in emergency situations, and the staff have gone over and above to accommodate my father.
My mam has been a resident since 2020 as her progressive dementia meant we didn't feel she was safe in her home. I honestly believe she wouldn't still be with us if it wasn't for the care and support she has received in Berkeley House Care Home. On the whole, the staff are mostly very caring and supportive and communication from the home is good.
My mum fractured her hip in 2023 and was struggling to cope at home, her physical and mental health were deteriorating rapidly. After a hospital stay, she was offered a short stay in Berkeley House Care Home. This was the best decision for the whole family as we had all been affected by Mum's condition. She quickly started to look and feel much better, her physical health improved dramatically. We cannot thank the staff at Berkeley enough, without their care and support Mum would probably not be with us now. Berkeley House is always very clean and well-maintained. The family feel Mum is very well cared for in a safe and loving environment. Thank you all very much.
My mother-in-law is currently at Berkeley House and absolutely loves it the staff can not do enough for her. She looks a lot better after 8 weeks of being here and having 24/7 care in the Victoria Unit and doesn't want to leave. she feels safe has made new friends and is eating really well the food is really good with plenty of choice. she has started getting involved with the activities which are also really good and different every day creating plenty of laughter. The management team are all fantastic with a warm welcome and great communication and always go out there way. Her room is decorated extremely nicely and always clean and tidy all the team should be proud!
Excellent care home, all the staff are so helpful. If there is anything you need help with, they go above and beyond with help. Dad is setting in well, slowly, but it's a bit of a change for us all. I know he is cared for and looked after so well thank you.
My Mother was reluctant to come into a Care Home but the staff and management made her welcome and now after 3 weeks settled in. The staff are very helpful and listen to my mum's needs and family. The food is excellent and there is plenty of space in the rooms with en-suite facilities. You can visit at your own leisure and security and safety for all residents are fantastic. From seeing the staff looking after her they take care and treat my Mum with dignity. The home and rooms are cleaned regularly, with plenty of activities to keep her occupied.
Mum came into care in June 2021, having been diagnosed with vascular dementia. The level of care for her has been exemplary from day one and as Mum's dementia progressed she has been supported to lead her very best life. Mum passed away peacefully on 12th March. With carers at her side. The support we received and kindness from the team on Queens we will never forget.

My father is very settled in Berkeley House. The staff are very patient and caring with him. We appreciate how kind the staff were when my mother passed away, to my father and all the family. The home is clean, warm and comfortable. We find everyone very professional.
My Mum moved into Berkeley House Care Home a couple of months ago, prior to that I had been looking after her myself but her dementia made this increasingly challenging. The staff are all wonderful and have helped to make Mum's transition into care as comfortable as possible. They are all very friendly, caring, and dedicated and seem to really enjoy working there. They also make me feel comfortable and welcome when visiting. Mum has settled in very well and despite her confusion, she enjoys living there. She also joins in with many of the fun activities which are organised, and photos and videos are often posted to social media for relatives to see. The rooms are modern and spacious compared with other care homes that we visited and are cleaned to a high standard.
The transition of care from Dad's own home to a care home has been and still is a very emotional journey. Everyone working in the care home has been so kind and understanding to Dad and our family. The care home appears very well managed and has a good/relaxed atmosphere. Staff are professional, committed, kind, caring, inclusive and communicate well. This is so reassuring. The food provided is excellent. The environment/rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Facilities are very good and all staff engaging. Thank you.
