View Full Details of BelmontMy mother was a resident between 2nd September 23 - 9th Sept 24 in this time both mum and I were very happy. and felt part of a big family residents and staff. I have carried on visiting the home to see friends we made. Sadly things changed from the end of Sept. No management or administration and the atmosphere became strained. However mid December a new manager came and things started to improve. I love Belmont and would move in tomorrow if I had to they made my last 12 months with my mum memorable. Its not perfect but its home.
It's deeply reassuring that my brother lives in a warm and caring environment with excellent 24 hour care and support.
I've now had three grandparents in this home within the last eighteen months, each with different physical and/or dementia care requirements, and I cannot express my gratitude for the staff more. I have noticed that the staff always work tremendously hard. Most importantly, they are kind and can't do enough for the residents, so professional yet warm and gentle. My grandparents have grown to love some individual staff members like family and we trust them implicitly. There are daily activities or entertainers, delicious meals and friendly faces everywhere. The carers, laundry team, cleaners, cooks etc., are all so accommodating and helpful. The staff make this care home and I would definitely recommend it for this reason.
During these troubled times and staff shortages, we are still receiving the best care possible. The restrictions are affecting everyone, and it is difficult to keep upbeat all the time but also have some laughs. The staff are wonderful in spite of working long hours and being exhausted.
I am very happy at Belmont.
Our care home is very busy with over 40 residents. There is a good atmosphere and the carers are very helpful, and we have a very good cook. We are being tested every day during the pandemic; the downside, we have no visitors.
My father came to Belmont on recommendation from a friend whose mother had been so well looked after at Belmont. My Dad settled straight away and soon made good relationships with his carers. Our experience of the staff at Belmont is always excellent despite the challenges they face looking after him. They are professional, kind and obviously care a great deal about him. Our family are so grateful that he has his 'family' at Belmont, especially in these difficult times of lockdown and not being able to visit him to keep everyone safe. Thank you, everyone!
Belmont looks after my mum and being one of three sons, all now no longer resident in Lancashire, it is reassuring to know that she gets such good care. The manager and staff are top-notch - professional, caring and mindful of individual resident requirements. They also support our dad around any concerns he has relating to his wife, who has now had to be in a care setting for a number of years. I do wish everyone well in the current challenging times and hope that all in Belmont are managing with the additional challenges that the current pandemic has brought to our country as a whole.
The care home looks after my wife to a very high standard. Whilst I live 17 miles away I cannot attend as often as I would like, but I telephone the staff most days. They are very considerate and provide with a huge peace of mind knowing my wife is being cared for so well.
The staff are extremely competent, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents and families. The rooms are kept to a high standard as are all the other amenities. All my husband's needs are extremely well catered for. Which gives myself and families peace of mind.
I find the home superb in a number of ways. My mother has just been there a year now and looks far better now at 89 than this time last year. She is eating well and is very happy in the moment, as her memory is not the best. The home provides her with a lot of entertainment and activities that I thoroughly enjoy. I now plan my day around "What's on at Belmont"!! So I cannot praise all staff enough as I find everything fine.
Having had a relative in Belmont for the past 9 months we have found that the standard of care has been excellent. The resident has settled in remarkably well, made new friends and is extremely happy. The staff are all very helpful, friendly and approachable.
My mother has been a resident in Belmont for the last twelve months. Admission to care became necessary when her ability to function in her home, despite several visits a day by family, due to short term memory loss, confusion, unsteadiness etc Since her admission, despite her frailties we have seen how physically well she has become and how much happier and positive to wanting to live. This is obviously down to the very high quality of care she is receiving, being well-nourished, clean and tidy, stimulated by conversations with staff and fellow residents, entertainments and outings.
Good all round care home need more staff. Staff are overworked.
My husband went into Belmont for two weeks. The care he received was very good and where possible, all his needs were met. I was very satisfied.
My mum has been a resident at Belmont since March 2015. She suffers from Alzheimer's and despite not being a care home the staff have been wonderful, caring and understanding as her illness progresses. The food is excellent and there are plenty of activities to get involved in. Mum is in the best place she could be in the circumstances and I have peace of mind that when I'm not there she is well cared for.
I cannot praise Belmont Care Home enough for their genuine care and support. The staff were very friendly and dedicated, the food was excellent, the rooms were kept clean and tidy and the entertainment was well thought out. It was really made to feel like home for my mum, the happiness of the staff generated a happy atmosphere and all in all a perfect place for my mum in her last years. Thank you so much.
Staff always very friendly and helpful. Mum is very difficult as her dementia is severe now and she can be quite violent. I have absolute respect for what they do and put up with. The manager is a lovely lady and the office administrator is very friendly and helpful. Mum has been there for five years and has been well looked after and is very at home there. I would highly recommend.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. My stepfather enjoys the outings. There are activities laid on daily, though my stepfather chooses not to join in. These are beneficial to those that do.
The care is very good. We are soon told about Mum when she is not feeling well or not eating much. Mum plays bingo and singers come in to sing the old songs they know.
