View Full Details of Magnolia House Residential Care HomeWhen my husband passed away, my mother-in-law had to come on respite for 2 weeks and then she came home to me, but I could not cope, so she said she wanted to go back into a home. The staff are amazing and she tells me and I can see for myself that she is cared for amazingly and the activities are good all round. The home is amazing and I feel happy knowing we made the right decision. Cannot say enough about it!
My mum received respite care at Magnolia House Residential Care Home following a hospital admission. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there was a good sense of schedule (set meal times etc.) Excellent food with a good variety of choices. Activities took place daily (Mon-Fri) to promote socialisation and prevent withdrawal. We are extremely grateful for the care provided at Magnolia House.
I was treated with dignity and respect by staff and residents. I would come back and stay if I needed to.
Staff here are sensitive to Dad's needs and are supportive when we ask for assistance. They are prompt in noticing any health changes or difficulties and following up or accepting things we'd like to try to support dad further with changing needs. The activities are sometimes too noisy for Dad but there are always options to move to a quieter area if we are visiting. We are very happy with the inclusion levels of family visitors and the general positive and upbeat atmosphere. Everyone here works so hard and together well.
My mum lived at Magnolia for ten months, from October 2022 to August 2023. During that time, I visited most days and was always impressed by the care provided and kindness shown to all of the residents. The moving-in process was so easy and stress-free, and the staff helped Mum settle in straight away. The home gets great reviews and a high score rating for a reason, and I’d definitely recommend Magnolia House to anyone having to find a place for their loved one.
Magnolia House Residential Care Home provided excellent care for my grandma, she spent her final days there and the staff could not have been nicer to her, they were caring, supportive and professional. Grandma always looked nice, she always took pride in her appearance in her younger years and it was nice to see that she was regularly having her hair and makeup done. The staff here always go above and beyond for the residents and organise many events for them. Grandma passed whilst being at Magnolia and we much preferred her passing happening there rather than at a hospital as, although she was often confused and anxious, the staff at Magnolia had worked hard to make her feel safe and at home, she passed peacefully and in comfort with no distress. Cannot thank the staff enough for taking such good care of a much-loved lady.
For the past 10 years, my sister has resided at Magnolia House. I have nothing but praise for this place. It has given me peace of mind that she is being cared for so well.
Absolutely outstanding! Magnolia House met all my husband's needs and made his stay beautiful. All staff were helpful and welcoming and very professional. I was totally satisfied with their care and made it so easy for me to leave him in their care. This was my husband's first experience of care/respite and was a positive experience, thank you so much.
I didn't want to ever come into a care home, but I love being here. I had made lots of friends. The staff are great, and I love the lot of them. Thank you.
I can honestly say that Magnolia House is a 10/10 care home. My mum is very happy with the care she is given, and that is down to the amazing staff being so caring and professional in their day-to-day duties. My mum enjoys the activities. So in all, my family and I are happy that my mum is happy and being cared for.
Our dear friend has been in Magnolia House a while now, and from the first time my wife and I visited him, and that some three times now, as we live 100 miles away, we sensed how warm and welcoming it is. Yesterday, the 14th of February, our dear friend's wife visited her husband in the home, and we have to congratulate all the staff for taking the time to make Valentine's Day special for both of them. Absolutely Beautiful. Well Done, Magnolia House staff.
Magnolia House has an amazing team. My husband is a resident and the staff have gone above and beyond to help him settle in and make him comfortable. The team gave us a wonderfully memorable day yesterday. I would recommend Magnolia House in a heartbeat. Our family consider our loved one very fortunate to be in such a loving, caring environment. A massive thank you to you all.
My father is a resident. He is 93 and in spite of several serious underlying health conditions tells me he is very happy. The home is very quick to spot any health difficulty he has and contact his GP. The staff are very friendly and I have found nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad is very relaxed and happy with all of the carers. He is clean, well-fed and happy. My mother was a resident in the Home from 2017 until 2020. She was very well cared for. Both parents went in there in 2017 and I can honestly say the Magnolia House saved their lives, restored their dignity and gave them a renewed quality of life.
Clean, modern and pleasant with carers attentive to every need. Plenty of activities.
Magnolia House is amazing and has caring staff. They looked after my 94-year-old mum with such love and care right up until her recent death. Both myself and my husband would definitely choose to live there in our latter years.
My mum loves her home at Magnolia House Residential Care Home. She has everything she needs or could ever possibly want. I'm amazed at how happy she is there; so reassuring. She has friends and she really enjoys the food and social side of Magnolia. It's simply top-notch care! Thank you all so much.
I am very comfortable here. The staff are very pleasant and will get anything I need. The food is satisfactory and varied. I have been here for about one and a half years and am very content.
My first impression was of the security and cleanliness and welcoming attitude I experienced from all the staff bar none. Feedback from my father after his first month is very positive and augurs very well for the future and really puts my own mind at ease. My father has not eaten so well and felt more secure in a long time. Thank you so much.
Every member of staff displays a pleasant and upbeat outlook whenever I visit. They have a caring and capable attitude and my mother seems, as far as she is able because of her dementia, to respond positively. It is a tight knit group and everyone seems to be aware of any issues regarding well being. Activities are varied and frequent and the music based segments seem to engage my mother.
It is one of the hardest decisions to make when you realise your mum needs more care than you can give. So moving into a care home is the next step. You start thinking of what your mum will have to give up, meaning her home, but what she has now moving into Magnolia House Residential Care Home has transformed her life, and no more feeling lonely. Lovely home. Mum has lived here for two years and the settling in was made so easy with the wonderful staff, very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Would recommend very highly. The care that mum receives is second to none. Very well done Magnolia.
