View Full Details of Aspen GrangeWe moved my mother to Aspen Grange Dec 24. Since that move i have found the staff happily engage with my mother at various times of the day. they are very polite, helpful and caring towards my mother with seemingly no request to much to ask. They manage her diabetes well providing her with a well balanced diet including fresh fruit each day. Although my mother is generally bed-bound, the staff make great efforts so she can now frequently have a proper bath. Maintence is well attended to and the Home are quite amenable to hanging pictures etc on the walls for you. The Home provide a variety of stimulating activities and events, even feeding the birds in the garden which she enjoys watching from her room window. The home is always clean and secure. All in all, a much much better care home than the previous home in Chelmsford that Mother was in that was also more expensive.
My step mother in law is being well cared for at Aspen Grange. The staff manage her dementia extremely well and she is much more happy and content than she was before she arrived at Aspen Grange. The staff go the extra mile to engage with her and provide activities which she enjoys.
Aspen Grange is a very good care home My wife is being treated very well The staff looking after my wife care for her so well I have no worries she is being look after Wife seem happy and content She is in the best place
I am extremely pleased with the care and respect that my mum and my dad get in Aspen Grange. The staff are very kind and caring and go out of their way to do everything possible for the residents. I have never gone into the care home and had to say I'm unhappy about one thing as they are very well cared for and would recommend this care home all the time.
Everything and everybody is brilliant, friendly, helpful, and commendable. Two minor gripes that sometimes go unnoticed - she's often slumped down too far in her chair and frequently hasn't swallowed the dispersible medication. Both issues are usually dealt with promptly by the staff.
My mother is a long-term resident and whenever I raise an issue with the staff regarding a request from my mother it is dealt with quickly and efficiently. The rooms are spacious and I find all the staff very helpful.
My mother-in-law has been in Aspen Grange now for 4 months. Since going into the home she is eating, drinking and socialising in her own way with dementia. She is washed and dressed every day which never happened when she had carers at home. The staff are the ones that have worked hard and been very patient to achieve this. The staff and manager are fantastic I cannot thank them enough.
So happy with the care my husband is receiving from all the staff. His nursing care has been wonderful, all his medication and injections have been administered and any concerns I have had are always answered. Haircuts, and chiropody are great extras.
My mum has recently become a permanent resident at Aspen Grange. It has been a difficult time for me, but all the staff have been absolutely amazing and that has really helped with the transition into full-time care. She can be challenging at times, but the staff always respond with kindness and are excellent at distracting her and engaging her in a discussion. My mum loves her dog, and she is always welcomed into the home to visit Mum. The home is always clean and sweet smelling, and the food always looks good.
Aspen Grange is a care home offering full support for my Stepmother who has severe dementia and has been residing there now for almost 6 months. They are able to cope with her behavioral changes and provide good hygiene and personal care that fully meets her needs.
My dad was only in the home for 5 days before he sadly passed away, the care he received over this period was excellent, the manager of the home was very understanding and put our minds at ease, as we were very apprehensive about my dad going into a home, we couldn't have asked for better care for him, l would highly recommend this home for any person suffering from dementia.
My husband moved to Aspen Grange Nursing Home initially on a discharge to assess basis having been in hospital for several weeks with minimal support from hospital staff. After a few weeks at Aspen Grange my husband was supported to try walking (shuffling) again; he had his first shower in 2 years; was supported to eat meals with the support of carers alongside other residents. All the staff made my husband feel so welcome it enabled him to settle quickly. It was never the plan for my husband to move to a care home as we always wanted to care for him at home but the staff made the decision much easier to make and despite initial reservations it was the right decision to make.
The management and staff are so kind, warm, friendly and welcoming. The care home is extremely clean and tidy with a very cosy feel. The care and attention given to my mum is excellent. Thank you to all staff.
Very good care service provider. Lovely care home, friendly staff, clean building. Plenty of activities for the residents. Wonderful food.
A thank you to all of the staff at Aspen Grange in Braintree. Our Dad was moved there after being fast-tracked out of hospital in July 2023 for end-of-life care. After a month in hospital, he was weak, dirty and confused. He was welcomed and cared for immediately in a nice comfy spacious room. The staff built up a rapport straight away and realised that although he was very weak, he still had a good sense of humour. They encouraged him to eat and drink and helped him sit in the communal areas with the other residents. He thrived there although but after a while preferred his own space and to stay in his room - which staff always respected. Thanks to the care and the support of the staff he is strong enough to move back to his home town. He met with his consultant last who wasn't expecting to ever see him again - he said that one of the reasons he's still here is thanks to the care of the staff for giving him extra time to spend with family.
After a fall, my dad spent six weeks in hospital and the improvement in both his health and general demeanour was marked after only two days in Aspen Grange. He loves the staff who are (without exception) all very friendly and helpful. Dad has never been in a care home before and I was worried he wouldn't settle but he's very happy.
My husband and I are so happy that our mum is being cared for at Aspen Grange, she spent six weeks in hospital and was extremely anxious and unhappy there. She moved to Aspen Grange the first week in January and was immediately made to feel at home. She was very confused and anxious but has now settled in and has started to gain confidence. She has been cared for with dignity and respect and the staff are kind, helpful and a joy to be around. They are always good-humoured and ready to help with anything. It feels like a family. The variety of home-cooked food is first class, especially the home-baked biscuits and cakes. We are always made welcome and offered teas and coffees. Our mum's anxiety levels have reduced dramatically as have ours, we know that she is in the best possible place for her current circumstances. Thank you sincerely for all the effort that you have made in making this difficult transition for Mum as best as it can be. Bravo Aspen Grange.
My mum has been at Aspen Grange since November 2023 and the manager has been so helpful and professional. The staff are all lovely, very kind and considerate of my mum's needs. The rooms are clean and spacious and when I visit I am always offered tea and cake. My mum is eating well and looks so much healthier at 86. There is also a new full-time activities coordinator on board which I think will be really great for the residents too. The anxiety has been lifted knowing that she is safe and very well looked after. Thank you, Aspen Grange.
My mother came to Aspen Grange following a move from another care home that said they could not meet her needs. She was very unhappy at the old care home and her behaviour was a problem at times but since moving to Aspen Grange she is instantly more settled and happy which is a testament to how she is being cared for. I was very worried about moving my mother but Aspen Grange made the whole process easy and relaxed - I am very happy with how things have gone so far - thank you!
All staff are welcoming. Care for residents is excellent and everyone is treated as an individual. Any concerns that are raised with a member of staff are acted on.
