View Full Details of Blenheim Care HomeThe management and staff are fantastic, I visit most days and see for myself how kind and caring they all are. It's always nice and calm, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Always a smiling face and a happy place to be.
The more I see the more impressed I am!
Patience, understanding and care were given to my husband for two weeks of respite care. His medication was given on time and correct dosage.
We viewed a few homes. Blenheim were warm, welcoming, friendly and personable. It's not just a 'job', staff really care. Great rapport with residents and family alike. Managers make the home run well and efficiently. They are very welcoming and friendly and very approachable. Food is incredibly good. Residents seem to enjoy the food. Residents well cared for. Individual care important and adhered to.
From the first time we visited, staff have always been very friendly and welcoming and there is a nice atmosphere in the home. Residents always look well-presented and cared for. Drinks are readily available, both hot and cold, and residents are encouraged to eat and drink. Staff interact well with residents and families, only downside is it would be nice to have an activity during the day for residents. I think this is being addressed.
Well-managed home. Care staff competent, caring and very friendly. Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Feels homely. Managers always available and friendly and approachable. Residents happy and looked well-kept.
I would highly recommend Blenheim Care Home to anyone who needs care, support and opportunities for company. The residents are in a very safe environment and are able to live life to the best of their mental and physical abilities. The rooms are comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. The residents are provided with well-balanced and varied meals. Their individual needs and preferences are also catered for. Besides showing care for the welfare of their residents, the wonderful staff also show kindness and provide support for family members when feeling upset. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
All the staff are very friendly yet professional and they show a great level of genuine care to not only the residents but also the family members/visitors of the residents. I have often been offered a drink whilst my relative and whenever my family member has required help in some manner, the staff have always gone above and beyond in ensuring that she is made comfortable and her needs have been met accordingly. I’m really impressed with the efforts of all the Blenheim home staff.
My parents came for respite in February because of a work colleague's recommendation. They were there for two weeks and were looked after very compassionately. When I wanted more respite, I didn't hesitate to go back to Blenheim Care Home. Unfortunately, my father passed away after being admitted to hospital but my mum has remained. The manager and all the staff look after residents very well and have the right balance of care whilst trying to keep their independence.
Mum moved into Blenheim Care Home recently after a 3-month stay in 2 different hospitals following a bad fall at home. She has mixed dementia but has always been adamant she did not want to go into a care home but she is settled, happy, stimulated and safe. The staff (and management) are all fantastic. They are all wonderful with Mum and very welcoming and friendly with us as visitors. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is nutritious and varied, all home cooked and there is always plenty of water, squash, cups of tea on hand. Mum's room is clean and tidy and her laundry is all done for her too. Although they don't have an activities coordinator at present there are frequent visits by various singers which is fun and it is truly heartwarming to watch some of the residents dancing and everyone thoroughly enjoys it! Blenheim has a beautiful garden and the residents enjoy afternoons in the fresh air on a warm sunny day with a cuppa! Blenheim really does feel like home.
My mum was moved to Blenheim Care Home recently after being put in end-of-life care. Since she has been here in the last four weeks, she has started to eat again, three meals a day, is gaining weight, and now is able to get out of bed and spend time in the lounge with other residents. The next plan is to get her walking again, which looks like it won't be long as she is already trying to stand. I can't thank the staff enough as I am sure if she stayed where she was, she wouldn't be here now, so thank you, everyone.
We needed to find care urgently after my mother had a fall and needed more care than we could provide for her at home. The assessment for her needs was done on a Bank Holiday Monday and she was admitted on Wednesday. The manager and staff are very friendly and happy to give reports on my mother's progress. The facilities are great and I look forward to the warmer weather when the residents will be able to spend time in the garden.
They have cared for my mother since December 2021 until her passing in April 2023. Their faultless care has been exemplary at all levels. The care and support was 100% from every one of the staff, from senior management through to caring and nursing staff, to catering and cleaning staff. They also provided information as to Mum's progress and her requirements and always sought approval before anything took place. They created an environment where Mum was very comfortable at all times and I could rest assured she was in very safe, caring hands and that she was as happy as was possible.
Blenheim took great care of Mum when she needed some short-term help while we sorted some permanent care. The staff were helpful, caring and attentive. Always happy to help.
We have tried to complain about this care home and the promised investigation by the manager who was shortly going on holiday, never happened. We have sent emails which were ignored. Sent a formal complaint and the local council has advised this care home to contact us. They just ignore everything. Anyone sending a relative to this care home and a care home run by Agincare, ensure the room is inventoried and all belongings are inventoried, clothing is labelled, and any walking equipment is in a serviceable condition.
My mum is very happy in the home and has settled in nicely. We feel very comfortable asking the staff for advice.
My father was admitted to Blenheim for palliative care and was joined by my mother, initially for respite care following a month in the hospital, so that they could spend Dad's last weeks together. The care given to both parents was faultless. Mum has remained in the home, and it has been good to see her take pride in her appearance again and has enjoyed watching and joining in with the activities offered. She loved sitting in the conservatory looking at the beautifully kept garden, and it is great to have a quiet space to sit and chat as well as do activities together with family. The staff, including cooks, cleaners and hairdressers, have been incredibly kind to all of us as a family, and the GP told me it is one of the best care homes in the area!
Great staff, and a very friendly home. Going to miss all the ladies and making them smile every day, see you soon.
All the staff went above and beyond. Everyone helped so much and nothing was too much trouble. Can't thank everyone enough.
Dad moved into Blenheim with Mum in April 2022. Mum has recently died, but Dad is still very well and is being well looked after. We have no complaints about his care, and he thoroughly enjoys the food and the fact that he is left happily in his room as he doesn't enjoy joining in with any activities.
