View Full Details of Barchester Bluebell ParkMy mum moved into Bluebell Park Care Home in December. I was very impressed by how quickly she settled in thanks, in the main, to the lovely staff they have. It is a beautiful building and very well run by the manager and staff. If you have any concerns they are always there to listen and address.
Barchester Bluebell Park feels very homely. The thing I like best is that there are no visiting hours, so I can nip in any time, as I would if she was at home. The carers are very kind and considerate. They go above and beyond to help and to make sure needs are met. However, nursing staff sometimes struggle to establish the severity, when patients are poorly. Activities are excellent.
Mum has been here now some six weeks. The staff are professional, conscientious and friendly, so much so, the team feel like family to us. Mum is cared for 24 hours and is also socially and mentally stimulated which, for the family, is heartwarming and reassuring - life-enhancing in her latter years - how amazing for Mum and her loved ones. Thank you so much to the whole Barchester Bluebell Park team. I feel that Mum couldn't be in safer hands.
Very happy. All wonderful staff with my mam. As are all that visit her.
I cannot praise the home enough - the staff are understanding of Mum and her needs, never fails to amaze me. The staff are always happy, always helpful and kind and look after Mum beyond our greatest hopes.
Very happy with the care my mum is receiving at Barchester Bluebell Park. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. All areas are kept tidy and clean, rooms are cleaned daily. Mum loves the food, there's always a menu on view with plenty of choices. Particularly pleased with the entertainment staff, they are lovely and have persuaded Mum to join in with all the activities. Mum is very happy here and that's down to all of the staff.
The staff at Barchester Bluebell Park are incredible. They always look out for my mother. They understand her needs and idiosyncrasies. I know they will keep me fully informed and listen to my concerns.
I have been very impressed with the commitment of all members of staff. They treat people with dignity and greet residents by their names, often showing real interest in them. I have observed, many times, the quiet dedication with which staff go about their duties and their readiness to help is very commendable.
Barchester Bluebell Park is a beautiful, purpose-built care home. My mum received good care during her six-month stay. All of the carers and nurses work extremely hard and give really good care. They treated my mum with kindness, respect and dignity. They also treated us, her family members, with kindness too. We were able to have Christmas lunch with Mum and all the staff, including the chef, made it really special and went above and beyond to ensure we really enjoyed a family Christmas dinner together and we are extremely grateful for this. When problems arose, it was easy to communicate with the appropriate staff and most issues quickly dealt with.
Mum has been at Barchester Bluebell Park for eighteen months now and she is very comfortable, relaxed and contented. The staff are genuinely caring and they show kindness and respect towards all residents. Mum is always clean, warm and well-fed and she clearly feels very safe and secure in such a homely environment. We feel truly lucky to have secured a place for Mum in such a professionally run care home.
Awful. If your loved one has any other condition apart from Alzheimer's do not send them here. The staff are not trained and to call it a specialist care home is a joke. They do not know how to handle patients with more complex needs.
The care was satisfactory but aunt/uncle was not encouraged to participate in activities so spent a lot of time in their room. More physio would have been good and also encouragement for personal grooming hair/shaving.
A wonderful care home with excellent facilities, staff and care. I could fault it. My mother enjoyed her time living at Bluebell Park and the end-of-life care that she received was superb.
Mum has been a resident for almost five years, on Memory Lane. This year the staff helped me organize a garden party for her 100th birthday which was a great success. I live in Canada and visit mum for extended periods twice a year. Mum is always well cared for, treated with respect, affection and consideration for her dignity. The home is always clean, is well run, with beautiful gardens. I feel fortunate to have found such a lovely place for my mum.
An excellent care home. Always clean and tidy when we visit. My dad is very well looked after and the staff are very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Always kept up to date with details.
Mum has been at Bluebell Park for four years and during that time has received excellent care both physically and emotionally. Mum's specific needs are understood and the compassion and kindness shown by staff is a great comfort to us. We are very grateful to all the staff who care for Mum on our behalf. Thank you.
When my mother entered Bluebell Park she was anxious, unhappy and in pain. It is a testament to her treatment that she is now happy and is no longer anxious or in pain. I know that she is safe and well cared for. Her room is light and airy and she is very pleased with her own en-suite facilities. The home is clean, fresh, well maintained and comfortable. All the staff are cheerful, kind and attentive Nothing is too much trouble. I would heartily recommend Bluebell Park to anyone looking for care in their declining years.
Found the staff to be courteous and respectful at all times and particularly friendly with my mum, who has been there for 16-months. The care is excellent and the facilities very good. But it’s the staff that really matter, and I have found them to be wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
Our family cannot thank Bluebell Park especially the staff on Memory Lane for their care and attention to Mum during her 15 months with them. The manager and admin staff are just as caring and supportive. It was a really hard decision to put Mum into care but her dementia and terminal cancer diagnosis made it impossible for her to remain at home independently. On Memory Lane she was able to walk around safely and freely at any hour of the day!! When we took her out at any time she couldn't get back in fast enough and with barely a wave! Whenever I rang to see how she was the staff were always so pleasant and told me exactly how she was, I was never made to feel a nuisance. Similarly they rang me if ever they felt I needed to be aware of a change in her. Fortunately Mum was not properly ill for long before she passed but the staff were lovely with her especially at the end. They were so caring throughout her stay and Mum beamed whenever they came in the room which was lovely to see.
My mum is on Memory Lane; she’s been in Bluebell Park for over 4 years. The care and respect shown to her by the staff has been exceptional I wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else! It’s so easy to dwell on negatives but in my opinion, this care home is very good. I know I couldn’t offer my Mum anywhere near the level of care she currently receives and I’ll be forever grateful to the staff for that. Thank you so much.
