View Full Details of Baylham Care CentreDad had been in the care home for six months. The staff were excellent and he was given the best care he could have asked for. It is like extended family. Lots of activities to take part in if he chose to and a couple of trips to Needham Lake. When Dad passed away, he was treated with dignity and the staff were very respectful.
My husband received excellent care during the two years that he was a resident at Baylham Care Centre. The staff are very caring, supportive and skilled in looking after residents who may have challenging behaviour. The Physiotherapy and Activities teams are first-class and ensure that an individual's needs are catered for. The trips out in the mini-bus are especially welcome. The manageress is very approachable and is working hard to maintain high standards. There is a friendly atmosphere in the Home and relatives receive a warm welcome when visiting and any concerns they may have are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Baylham Care Centre is a very special place.
My friend is in Baylham Care Centre, Ipswich. What a fabulous place, the care is amazing. The staff know exactly what they need to do to help the residents. Activities, singing. Excellent place, thank you for looking after my friend so well.
The caring and patient staff at Baylham Care Centre make it a friendly, peaceful place to be. My husband moved into care in February with dementia and a stroke causing challenging behaviour. His care at Baylham has been exceptional and he has settled in well. He loves the food which is freshly cooked in the home's kitchen to a very high standard. The new care home manager has brought inspirational ideas which will only improve the home. She puts the residents first and her love for them as individuals is very apparent. The activities girls are brilliant. Regular trips out in the minibus to the countryside and farms are enjoyed by the residents. While back at the home, they encourage the residents to participate in celebrating occasions like the Olympic games and festival days. I am made to feel very welcome by the staff when I visit and feel reassured my dear husband is in good hands.
My mum stayed at Baylham Care Centre for end of life care. The manager and her team were amazing to mum, my mum was treated with respect, dignity and love. The care was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The manager her team supported my Dad and all the family through the hardest time of our lives. The manager will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Professional, efficient, caring, friendly and effective - what more could we ask? The physiotherapy team worked miracles - their humour, knowledge, expertise and positive approach ensured mobility way beyond our expectations and we can't thank them enough. The new manager was attentive and responsive, working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. The care and admin staff were friendly, encouraging and patient. Thank you.
Fabulous Care home. The staff are so loving and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is very well presented and full of flavour. My husband really enjoys it. The new manager is so kind and can’t do enough for us as a family. What a relief to know there’s a home from home at Baylham.
Always very welcoming. Care staff are incredibly patient and very attentive. One-to-one care is provided well and the set-up looks as though one-to-one care is provided even if the resident is less demanding. Sticky floor might be my only criticism but that is only on one occurrence. Safe and functional and adequate. No non-essential frills and great value for our private money.
I am currently waiting for spinal surgery, and after much research, I chose Baylham Care Centre for my post-operative recovery and respite care. I called to make an appointment and was offered a same-day visit which was really useful. From the minute I set foot in the centre I was made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere is one of a well-ordered, happy, caring empathetic and efficient workplace. The staff were all polite, attentive and helpful and most importantly, the residents all appeared to be settled and very happy. I also felt very safe, but not in ways of being confined or contained. The facilities and resources are really impressive and the residents have lots of choices about their lives and needs. It was clear to me that Baylham Care Centre has an ethos of care, compassion and meeting the needs of vulnerable people with dignity. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to my stay there as I trust them to take care of me after a serious operation.
I am writing this review with regard to the care of my husband at Baylham Care Centre. He is suffering from Parkinsons' Dementia and was extremely ill with the conditions, presenting with challenging behaviour. Admitted to Baylham on 31st October 2022 in need of 1:1 care. I have been impressed with the quality of care given. Gradually, he has responded well. The carers show compassion and skill in difficult circumstances. Emotional support is outstanding. His 80th birthday was celebrated in August 2023 with superb support from the centre.
Are very caring home with lovely, sympathetic staff. Particularly impressed with the communication from the activities character who regularly sends me videos and pictures of my wife.
My mum has revived top-class care whilst being here. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. I have no concerns whatsoever.
Dad was only with Baylham Care Centre for 2 weeks but he was looked after with exceptional care, compassion and respect. He particularly loved the food. This was our first experience with a care home and we were very impressed.
My husband has been at the home for nearly 4 years. I am very happy with the attitude of all the staff and the friendly and pleasant atmosphere. I so appreciate being allowed to visit every day and do personal things for him (not medical). Any questions are dealt with immediately and I am kept fully informed of any changes.
My father has been in Baylham Care Centre for about 2 months now since he ended up in hospital with a bad injury from his last care home. He loves it here and I could not ask for anything more than the way he is treated. The staff go above and beyond to make my father comfortable. His room is always clean and should dad drop food down him they change him into clean clothes. The management is excellent and I'm kept up to date with all dads needs and any problems. They ask me before going ahead with any changes too. All I can say is I'm more than grateful to all the staff here.
Our mother lived at Baylham for seven and a half years. She loved it and frequently said, “I am so lucky to live here.” She loved the staff. Sadly mother passed away on 11 August. Baylham kept us informed so that we were able to return from our holiday in Croatia to spend the last three days with our mother. It was a very special time and has helped us come to terms with the sad loss of a wonderful mother. The staff were amazing, professional, skilful, kind, compassionate and utterly committed to Mother throughout her time at Baylham right up to the time of her death. Thank you to the manager and all your wonderful staff. Our love and thanks.
Staff are very caring and respect each individual, however, challenging they are.
My mother came for respite care. This is the third time I have needed the help and support of Baylham Care Centre. They responded to my request quickly and efficiently. My mum was able to return home thanks to their lovely care and support for both my mother and myself. My mother's wishes to return home were respected. Thank you.
The staff and management provide a happy and friendly caring service. Always ready and willing to talk and answer questions.
My mum and I met with the care manager twice before deciding to choose Baylham for respite for Dad. In the end, Mum decided to stay as well and the care home arranged for her to stay in the room next to Dad's. We realised long term care would be required and Mum wanted to check it out. They were both very happy with their stay in comfortable surroundings and the large bedrooms with ensuite facilities. Mum was most impressed by the caring staff who just couldn't do enough to make their stay enjoyable. I also think winning at bingo helped.
