View Full Details of Prestbury House Care HomeIn the 8 years my mum was a resident in general we've been happy with the overall service. The outstanding aspect has been the individual care workers who have been amazing. They've offered support, that suggests it's more than a job. The management has been a continued revolving door, with many of the managers being invisible, and purely interested in the bottom line.
My mother has been a resident in Prestbury House for nearly two years. I have nothing but praise for everybody that works there. The kindness, support and care shown to my mum and myself has always been superb. Nothing is too much trouble, and all staff are always prepared to go the extra mile! So very grateful!
My auntie has been at Prestbury House since 2023 and has been looked after superbly. Each time I visit the staff make sure to keep me updated. They care for her with respect and dignity. And the home is beautifully looked after and the staff are very nice.
Wish to thank all the lovely staff at Prestbury House Care Home, for helping my mother with the transition of moving into residential care, and taking extra time to understand her likes and dislikes - very professional organisation. Every team member is pleasant and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We are so lucky to know she is safe and receiving such good care and enjoying lots of different food choices which she wouldn't usually eat. She says the food is delicious.
My Mother-in-Law had respite care at Prestbury House and she had a fantastic experience. Especially the food! It gave her the perfect environment. The staff were all brilliant and helped her throughout.
I cannot express enough how impressed myself and my Brothers and family are at the incredible care shown to Mum in her first six months here at Prestbury House. The facilities here are fabulous, the team is even better! Friendly, helpful, and always putting the residents first. Huge thanks and Merry Christmas to all.
Dad was in Prestbury House Care Home for respite and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He didn't want to leave. All my worries were resolved and I was so reasurred when he received the care and support he needed. An excellent care home, excellent staff. Excellent care and support for me.
We have been to the care home a few times. On our first visit when we entered the home, there was a feeling of homeliness. The staff are all so friendly and most welcoming. My two relatives are getting looked after so well. The home is so clean and fresh. Having worked in a nursing home myself for many years I would recommend Prestbury House to anyone.
On my visit today we all enjoyed a cheese and wine afternoon. Lots of chatting and good company. It was enjoyed by all. Two members of staff helped all the residents in such a lovely way. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception are always so welcoming on arrival. Everyone is very helpful.
Prestbury House Care Home is a lovely environment. The rooms for the residents are modern and well-equipped. They are very spacious. The residents generally eat in a lovely dining area and the food is of a high quality. The care and service provided by the staff is very good. They genuinely care for the residents. The cost is quite high which reflects the quality of the environment that the residents are in. I would recommend Prestbury House. There is a range of activities that the residents can take part in if they wish.
I cannot fault the care my mother received from all the staff. They cared for all her needs with respect, dignity and genuine affection.
The care that my wife gets at Pretbury House is very good. The staff are all very caring and there has been a lot of thought gone into the day-to-day running of the home to make the residents feel safe and at home. If any problems occur they are dealt with in a professional and speedy manner. My wife and I are very satisfied with the care home.
My Father has been at Prestbury House for about 2 months. The staff are always approachable and very kind to my Father who has dementia. He was unsettled at first but has settled in and is well cared for. His room is very spacious and the food looks delicious. Thank you.
Friendly welcoming staff. Warm and kind atmosphere. The care home is clean and bright. Lovely welcoming touch of flowers, card, and chocs. The food was well presented and well cooked. Individual needs are respected. Missing laundry at the end of the stay. Had to chase this up. 3 items still missing one month later.
My very close friend has been in your care for approximately 6 years. Due to her condition, she now is not mobile. Your staff are so attentive and she is forded excellent care. There is a new manager in charge who has raised the bar even higher.
Our family have been overwhemed by the care and support given to my Mum at Prestbury House, we started with respite care and when my Mum told me she didn't want to go home we knew we had made the right decision, we can not thank the staff enough for looking after her, she has made friends with the residents and the staff, it gives us all peace of mind to see her so happy. Having lived in Prestbury most of her life, it is lovely to see her going out in the minibus and being familiar with her surroundings. It is also a lovely touch that we can help ourselves to coffee and cake when we visit. I highly recommend this wonderful home, it deserves its five-star rating!
My experience at Prestbury House was enriching and healing through the efficiency, love and care shown by the various teams during my recovery from major hip surgery. Aged 86 I had only 3 nights in hospital but Prestbury House got me on my feet. Having visited many care homes I would rank this as the best in the North. The staff (representing the nations) work beautifully together and serve sacrificially from the heart. I have left humbled and thankful for all received. Thank you.
Mum has Alzheimer's and was being cared for by her partner and carers, but the time had come for Mum to have full-time care. After viewing lots of homes and asking lots of questions we fell in love with Prestbury House Care Home. I have to say the client services manager played a massive part in helping us come to this decision. She helped put our minds at rest about what to expect and how the first few weeks would pan out. Bringing Mum was the most traumatic day for us but with her help, she helped make it a happy one. From that day Mum has never asked to come home. It is her home now. She has enjoyed trips out and there are so many lovely activities such as flower arranging, French lessons, yoga, singalongs and pet visits. The food is excellent and she eats so well. I always enjoy visiting Mum as all the staff are welcoming and always keep me updated with any issues or just to let me know how she is getting on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Prestbury House as I cannot sing their praises enough.
My friend was in Prestbury House on the nursing floor, he fell twice, the staff were inattentive to his needs and he was not looked after correctly. Wait times from when I pressed the alarm for assistance ranged from 10 mins to 40 mins, I was appalled at the lack of care and empathy shown, his teeth were brushed once in the whole of the 10 days and personal care was minimal. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not enough staff and poor management.
We as a family cannot thank Prestbury House enough for being so wonderful with our Uncle. He only stayed a short while in the end but in that time, we saw him singing and enjoying himself - Which we haven't seen for a while. The staff was amazing, especially the client services manager. She made the process of admitting him very smooth and constantly kept us updated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Prestbury House to anyone who needs excellent care.
