View Full Details of Highbury RiseWe are very happy with Highbury Rise. It is a home from home where residents are treated with respect, care and compassion. Family members are included and welcomed.
We moved our mum to Highbury Rise at the beginning of September. Our experience of the care here for Mum has been very reassuring. Mum has been looked after very well, and all her needs are carefully monitored and met, nothing is too much trouble, and I feel she is very safe here. Staff are very friendly and caring, and food is very well cooked and presented, with options for individual requirements. For a small care home, I think the standard is very high.
Highbury Rise is well run and residents are well looked after. Residents are fed well, cleaned every day and dressed. The issuing of medication is all logged and issued with care.
I only see Mum every three weeks and only for 2 hours or so. It has been this way for three years now. I say the above to qualify what I say below. Mum likes the staff here and we moved here easily in her residential care due to poor/under-trained staff. I can say I doubt we will ever feel the need to move Mum from here. It would be easy but wrong to take the tone of an instruction out of context. The staff here do a very difficult job, coping with residents with varying needs, very well.
My mother recently moved from assisted living to Highbury Rise the change in her has been incredible, she is now very content and the staff make us feel happy that our mum is there now. Well done.
My wife has been in this care home for the last 14 months and I have found the staff and care they provide to be very good. The management and the senior staff are informative and always answer any questions I may ask them concerning my wife's care. Overall I am pleased we chose this care home for the care of my wife.
We are made to feel very welcome when we come to visit. The care given is very good. The facilities are very clean and everyone is kind and helpful.
Good as always.
Thank you for looking after my Grandma, the care she received whilst with you was more than we could of asked for. She could not praise the staff team enough- all the staff team were welcoming, friendly, helpful and most importantly so caring. The home manager was always so supportive and went out of her way, not only to ensure residents were okay but to also support the family. If she ever needs respite or permanent care in the future, your home is number one on our list. Thank you all so much.
My wife has been a resident for 6 years and has 15 years of Alzheimer's, which she still appears to be fighting (as she said she would!). I and the family have been and still are very happy with the way in which she is cared for.
Mum has been very happy and settled in the 11-months she has been at the home. It is a kind, homely environment.
My mother was admitted to Highbury Rise during the COVID pandemic. From the first telephone call with the home manager, we felt reassured. Mum has settled well, is eating properly, but most of all is safe. Although we can't visit at the moment, WhatsApp video calls and newsletters keep us updated. What we really like is that whenever we telephone, we are always met with friendly conversation and are never rushed off the phone. Keep up the great work you do.
Our mum has been in Highbury Rise for the past 4-years. In that time, we have never had cause to be concerned about her welfare. The staff are caring, compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable, and the quality of care they provide is excellent. Knowing that our mum is safe and taken care of is a great relief for us.
I can not describe how wonderful and caring the staff are at Highbury Rise. They do the most fantastic job looking after my mum. Highbury Rise feels like a proper home, it is always full of love and laughter. The staff not only care about the residents but also the families. The support I have had has been tremendous. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
My mum-in-law moved to Highbury Rise from an independent living facility several months ago. She has Alzheimer’s and at the time was suffering with a distressing period of psychosis. What a relief for her to have been placed here. She is now totally safe and her care has been second to none. The staff are incredible and never too busy to talk on the phone regarding any concerns. Obviously, due to COVID restrictions we have not been able to see her in person. As difficult as that is, we know that this is to keep all residents safe. We do however have the opportunity of regular video calls with her. This keeps us connected and the staff support her well throughout the call. My mum-in-law is happy and settled, she eats well and has made friends. Above all, she is safe and cared for in the way she deserves to be. Thank you.
A small friendly home where the staff care for the happiness and welfare of their patients in an informal and homely way.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and above all competent. Mum has been at Highbury for almost 3 years. The challenges faced by both resident and carers can be as pleasant as they can be extreme. The home functions effectively and efficiently and always strive to improve. Peace of mind for our family is 100% The bedrooms are small but still practical and the home is undergoing refurbishment to a good standard. Food is excellent, homemade. Well done Highbury.
