View Full Details of Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane CommunityIt has been such a relief to find a care home who have made such support for my wife after her needs could not be met. I enjoy a warm welcome every time I visit every day which continues until I leave. The care staff have an excellent relationship with my wife and myself and I can only express my satisfaction. It's the big things which add up to a rather special place.
Arrived at Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane Community but was unable to enter the building despite ringing the doorbell and the telephone. Fortunately, a staff member, who had arrived for duty, was able to let the three groups of people that were waiting in, eventually. Had to use a wheelchair that had no footplates on to take my father-in-law into the garden, as no other available. When we went into the garden it was in an absolute dreadful state, nettles of weeds and grass waist height. Not much of a treat for residents, in fact, a disgrace when you think of the charges.
My 90-year-old father has had vascular dementia for 10 years and in June 2022 was moved to Beeston View. Despite having live-in carers at home, a typical day for him did not include much interaction with other people or stimulation from different activities or environments. The day he moved to Beeston View his mobility was so bad it took 1 hour to get him into the ambulance and he needed a hoist on arrival. Since then his life has turned around and he is positively thriving. His mobility is so much better and he is able to walk around carefully but unaided. Surprisingly, his short-term memory also seems to have improved. I was resolute that my dad would never go into a 'home' but I'm so glad we were forced into this situation. He is looked after with compassion and dignity by people who so clearly care for him and engage with him. To visit him and everyone at Beeston View is an absolute pleasure and time spent with my dad that I will treasure always.
My wife who has Alzheimer's, has been in Beeston View since June 2023. Prior to admission, she was very agitated, and stressed, ultimately making care at home not possible. The change since admission is incredible, she is now calm, interactive, and as far as one can tell, mentally settled, largely due to this kind, supportive, and professional care staff. The environment is always spotlessly clean, and the meals (I visit most days) are varied, nutritious, and well-presented. The nursing staff are professional, always present, and accessible for any questions. Finally, the administration team and care manager are accessible for any questions, and helpful of specific issues arrise.
My aunt has been in Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane Community for eight years approximately. She loves the feeling of security and the friendly staff are always cheerful and fun. She feels cared for and well looked after and enjoys all the activities. Whenever I visit, I am impressed by the "can do" attitude of the staff and the continuity of staff - many have been in situ since my aunt arrived, ensuring a great bond between residents and staff. My only negative comment is that there have been no outings since Covid. My aunt appreciates a change of scene, if only for a coffee.
Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane Community have been amazing to our family. My nan is 102 and still going strong. This is down to the care and the staff that look after my nan. The unit manager has been an inspiration to the home and raising awareness and money to benefit all residents. Keep the good work up.
My mum was discharged from hospital into another care home. She had not been out of bed for over a month, was not eating properly and very distressed. The first home she was in she did not settle and we found Beeston View Memory Lane Community after a couple of weeks and moved her. She was up walking on the first day and eating well and settled within a couple of weeks. This is down to the homely facilities and excellent care she has received from the care and nursing staff. I cannot praise them highly enough. We have got Mum back again (as much as we can).
Since moving into Barchester Beeston View, Dad has received excellent care from all staff. He is well looked after and enjoys all the activities the home provides. As a family, we are happy that Dad is in safe hands and we feel well-informed about all aspects of Dad's well-being. Thank you to all the staff.
My mum is always well cared for and clean. She eats well and is much happier now she's in settled surroundings with people who genuinely care for her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Beeston View.
We are completely happy with the service provided, the friendly staff and the lovely feel of the home.
Mum has been here since May 2022 and settled well. All staff are lovely, food seems excellent.

Mum came into care in July 2020. She has been well looked after and cared for. Mum seems very happy and we always have a laugh. The staff have always been most helpful and have answered any questions. There seems to be lots going on in the care home for mum to join in with and mix with others.
Very friendly, care very good. Can't comment on activities as I have not visited when any have been on. People do their best to help and treat my father with dignity.
Had a very pleasant visit with my sister today. She was in very happy spirits throughout the day. Staff all pleasant and attentive to all. Sister enjoyed listening to a chap in the lounge who played the piano.
My husband has been a resident since July 2021. He suffers with severe Dementia and all the staff treat him with such dignity and are very kind, caring, friendly and give an excellent professional service. Our children and I feel so blessed that he is receiving such wonderful attention and care.
Mum's stay at Beeston View was lovely. The staff were very kind and considerate, and the accommodation was excellent. The reason she was moved was to be in the same home as her sister and local to the family. The staff are a credit to the home.
When my father first came to Beeston View, he was distressed, but once he settle in and with the help of the conscientious and caring staff, my father felt happy and content as he was made to feel comfortable, sadly, as my father reached end of life. I cannot express how grateful I was to the care workers, nurses and staff that did their utmost to make my father as comfortable as possible.
Initially, my grandad was unhappy about being in residential care, however, the staff have worked their magic to make him feel welcome and part of a caring environment. He did learn to love the staff and this is down to them working above and beyond their job.
The care that my grandad received from the staff at Beeston was very caring and personable towards him. He was very relaxed and content during his stay.
