View Full Details of Barchester Latimer CourtI only had to stay respite for one week at my request. Every minute spent there I was looked after well, all facilities were good, in fact no coplaints at all. At the end of week I felt much happier and contented than when I entered Latimer Court. Thank you.
My father had a relatively short stay in Latimer Court, approx 6 months. During this stay, however, the management and staff did everything possible to cater for his every need. The home had such a lovely homely feel and the staff really got to know my dad on a personal level. They spent time with him and got to know him and all about his past and family. The home was immaculately clean. The food was first-class. I would not hesitate to recommend this home or consider using it again if the need arises.
The staff at Barchester Latimer Court cared for my mother with dedication, respect and kindness for nearly four years. They were particularly compassionate at her death in November 2024. We greatly appreciated the skill, good judgement, hard work and caring of the staff across every department. We felt part of a welcoming, warm community, and I can recommend Latimer Court highly.
My friend has received excellent care from all the staff on Grosvenor Wing. From the way his beard is beautifully trimmed to the staff ensuring he has classical music playing on his CD player, they care and respond to his needs as an individual. My friend is no longer able to verbalise requests or wants but his happy demeanour and the affectionate way the staff talk about him and treat him, show real care and consideration of him. The same teams have looked after him for nearly a year now, very low staff turnover, excellent.
My wife stayed for two weeks to give me some respite. She was extremely well looked after and enjoyed her stay as there were plenty of things going on to occupy her at all times. All the staff were wonderful and most caring.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all their efforts for Mother’s Day yesterday and for making it not only special for Mum but for visitors too. Big thanks especially to one of the staff members who put a lot of hard work into making daffodil bouquets for all the ladies, putting up decorations and blowing up balloons. His words were ‘I’d do anything for my residents’. Mum had a lovely roast dinner just like a Christmas dinner and my daughter and I were able to have afternoon tea whilst we helped Mum with her lunch. The lovely singer made the afternoon too. It’s not often when someone is in a care home that you get to make special memories but I will treasure yesterday.
My brother has been a resident since September last year, we are so pleased with his care. Everyone in Latimer Court are so kind and caring. We had a wonderful afternoon on Saturday 27th January 2024 celebrating my brother's 75th Birthday. A very big thank you for the time it took to decorate the room, the lovely cake and the care given to us all, you made his day so special. Thank you.
My husband has been a resident in nursing care for the last ten months - what a good choice it's been. Staff have been exemplary in providing round-the-clock care for his comfort and safety. The food choice quality and abundance are heartly enjoyed by my husband daily! I visit daily and always find Latimer Court a friendly and welcoming environment.
My dad came to the home in March 2023, he was a little confused and apprehensive about the move, but with the management team and all the staff with their caring attitude Dad quickly settled. He is happy and content in his room and surroundings all the staff are so friendly and treat him with dignity. His quality of life is great, he loves his meals and gets involved with the activities. So pleased Dad is at home at Latimer Court.
Latimer Court, the staff are outstanding. A member of staff was fantastic in organising the Coronation activities, brilliant. The staff on all units are wonderful but especially in Grosvenor Unit. They are so efficient, kind, caring and so patient. Cannot thank them enough for looking after my husband.
My husband became a resident of Latimer Court in November 2021. From the very start of our journey walking through the front door, we have been treated like family. When I visit my husband, his face lights up when a member of staff approaches him - be it the cleaner, housekeeping, maintenance, carers or nurses, always lots of smiles and hugs. All the rooms/lounges/dining rooms and public areas are spotless. The food is excellent - very varied menu. I have eaten with my husband on several occasions Christmas/Easter/Valentine's Day etc and the staff go out of their way to make the occasion special. This weekend was no exception - King Charles III Coronation - what a weekend - the activities coordinator went out of his way to make it extra special. I simply cannot recommend Latimer Court enough - all staff from the bottom to the top are exceptional, and I have peace of mind knowing that my loved one is well looked after loved!
My aunt has joined the Barchester community very recently and I have thus far found her care since her transition from hospital to be an extremely positive one. Her individual care plan has been meticulously tailored to her needs and reviewed regularly, the 24-hour care is well documented in the transparent record keeping and the relationships being built with her caregivers has given me complete peace of mind. I would not hesitate in recommending Latimer Court to other families who find themselves with difficult decisions to make, the management are able to allay fears and welcome questions from family members - prior to transition familiarisation visits are welcomed by the management team which supports family members with their decision making.
My brother has been a resident at Latimer Court for the last two years until his passing. He needed nursing care from the outset for a badly broken shoulder that would not mend, and other disabilities including progressive dementia and loss of all mobility towards the end. Both the general and nursing care that he has received has been exemplary, as has any necessary communication with staff and management as I live in Surrey. Whenever I have visited I have found the facilities spotless and the staff welcoming, informative and helpful. I am extremely grateful for their tolerance, kindness and professionalism and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this care home.
Mum found her way to Latimer Court after an emergency placement. Mum had dementia and had hardly left the house prior to her referral. The home is like a 5* hotel, the lounges are beautifully decorated with comfortable chairs, sofas and fireplaces, and there are plenty of books and DVDs etc for the residents to engage with. The dining facilities in each unit are bespoke and open to residents and visitors, at all times for drinks. She settled in amazingly quickly and the staff had an amazing bond with her in no time at all, She loved a particular member of staff who Mum called her best friend and spent time with the lovely lady who organises the activities. I visited at all different times of the day and early evening and was always pleased to see that the facilities were immaculately clean and the staff were always so friendly and the residents were beautifully presented. Special thanks go to the manager and her team who moved heaven and earth to ensure Mum's last few days were spent as she wanted them.
My brother was in the care of Latimer Court for a very short while, at all times he and I were treated with the utmost kindness and care. He could not have received better attention anywhere. He died with dignity and compassion from the staff. I will always be glad that I chose Latimer Court, the atmosphere of a very caring home was striking.
I cannot speak highly enough about the care that my mother received at Latimer Court. It was heartbreaking to have her admitted, but the staff quickly won our trust. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and every request is met with willingness. The layout and facilities are excellent for a patient with Dementia, and we quickly realised how much safer mum was than in her own home. The staff are so caring and ensured that mum was always involved in appropriate activities, even in the later stages of Dementia. The staff are meticulous and communicate brilliantly with family. Latime Court is clean and hygienic. The maintenance staff are excellent, the food is tasty and varied and the hairdresser is a gem. The GP is always on hand, so medical care is more accessible than at home. The turning point for me was when I arrived unannounced and could see my mum in the distance. The carer with her didn't know who I was, but she was treating mum as tenderly as if she had been her own grandmother.
My wife suffered from vascular dementia and was admitted in May 2022 and stayed until she passed away in October 2022. During that time the staff provided excellent care. Nothing was too much trouble and any request was dealt with immediately. I was impressed by the standard of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the building. Personal hygiene needs and medical care were well provided. My wife was always in freshly laundered clothing. In the five months that my wife was living in Latimer Court I was totally satisfied with the level of care provided by all the staff.
My mum was a resident at Latimer Coury for three years suffering from Alzheimer's disease. From her entry into the home, all the staff provided her with great care, humour and affection. At the end of her life, the care of the staff members was exemplary. I cannot praise their efforts highly enough, and I shall always beg grateful to them.
Generally, this has been a good experience, and I've enjoyed the care and support shown by all who are employed here.
Would appreciate more care for my husband when visiting in the morning ie, washing and showering regularly, and showing and ensuring that he is wearing clean clothes! Lacking in interesting outside activities - a change of atmosphere does a power of good mentally.
