I always find Avon House clean and warm. The staff are very friendly, caring and attentive. Mum says the food is very good.

I've been a resident of Avon House for a year, The staff are lovey and helpful. The home is very clean, Always have activities. The office staff are wonderful and I'm very happy here.

Outstanding care for my mother. Simple as that. Highly recommended. Well looked after, always smiling and happy. The standards set by this care home are exceptional. All the staff are attentive, empathetic and genuinely kind.

Thank you so much to all the staff at Avon House for looking after my mother wonderfully for the last 18 months of her life. Communication with me, as next of kin, was superb: the staff always informed me of any changes and kept me updated as she gradually deteriorated and faded away. In particular, I always felt that she was respected as a valuable individual human being right to the very end, with instinctive regard for her and her choices. The regular updates of activities via the social media page were great and a really good example of how you don't have to do expensive things to provide stimulation - normally the opposite is true and Avon House are a brilliant example of it. There always seemed to be something to engage the residents if they chose to participate, but never any pressure if they did not. This was her 5th care home - but the only one in which she settled. In particular, 5/5 is not enough for being treated with dignity. Can I give 10/5 please?!

I love living here at Avon House. I have made lots of friends, the staff are happy and helpful and the activities keep me very occupied.

Knowing my dad is safe and secure at Avon House is a huge relief. The staff makes it a fantastic environment for the residents to feel comfortable and happy. They are always doing engaging activities, providing good nourishment and great care to all residents. They give regular and detailed reports/updates so that we are always kept in the loop. It is always clean and I love taking my little boy to visit his grandad. I couldn't imagine a better place for dad to be.

I moved into Avon House in August 2023, since being here I have made friends and feel settled. My meals are lovely and the home is clean. All the staff are lovely and I enjoy lots of activities, especially the Arts and Crafts.

Absolutely fantastic home full of engagement for residents and enthusiastic workers. Lots of inclusive activities such as arts and crafts, musicians, singers, sporting events and board games. Beautifully clean home, that offers tailored meals from a brilliant chef. I couldn't imagine a better home for my family members to stay.

Since my mum has been at Avon House it has taken all the worry away. She is well cared for and I know that if the staff have any concerns they call me to discuss so that I am fully aware of any situation. The activities are good and varied and all the staff are so friendly and treat all the residents well and engage with them. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone whose loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Avon House is a small wonderful dementia care home which is run excellently. I visit my mother every week and I have never had any concerns in the three years she has been there. She is treated with respect and dignity. Always clean, nicely dressed, never in dirty clothes and has never smelt. The staff are all so kind, assist my mother, family and treat her with respect. They also encourage residents to participate in activities which take place frequently. Outside entertainment organised and immensely enjoyed by all. Any concerns are always addressed and discussed in full, including family, all done in confidence. Thank you Avon House.

I cannot praise the staff at Avon House enough. They are caring and attentive. My mum is very happy there. It is always clean and welcoming, the staff are very helpful and there is regular entertainment for all. The lounge is a large, welcoming space and there are quiet spaces as well as their rooms for when they want to have solitude. My mum always enjoys the food. I highly recommend Avon House.

My mum went into Avon House Care Home a few months ago as her dementia got worse. She was treated well and we were very pleased with the care she received.

My aunty initially became a temporary resident at Avon House Care Home for respite care. She was very anxious but the lovely staff did everything possible to settle her. I was able to bring in personal items of hers and to aid her to feel at home. Over a few weeks, it became obvious she was becoming more her old self despite the increasing dementia. She wasn’t remembering to eat at home but with amazing food and regular snacks, she looks so much healthier. All the staff have taken the time to get to know her and treat her as an individual to enable her to feel safe and understood. My aunty enjoys the company of others and happily joins in the many activities the home regularly offers. I am the very proud owner of a beautiful bead necklace she lovingly made for me. Sadly, her dementia has declined to the degree that she cannot return to independent living and I’m so happy she is to stay permanently at Avon House, especially as I live so far away. My thanks go to all the wonderful staff.

The manager and the other staff have been so kind and caring in helping my uncle to settle into Avon House. Upon visiting my uncle he seemed very happy and well looked after. The whole place has a nice homely feel and my uncle said he really enjoyed the food.
