My mother has been a resident at Camowen since January 2023, she says how kind and patient the staff are to her. Residents are treated as individuals with respect and dignity and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Mum absolutely loves the food and looks forward to meal times! A great care home.

We were desperate to find my mother a care home. Camowen came through and we've been very happy with their services they provide. What is a stressful experience, became a friendly and welcoming procedure. I feel my mother gets wonderful attention, the staff are so helpful, offering a professional and truly caring service. Their dedication is so obvious, we're beyond grateful. I had no knowledge of the industry, these people do an amazing job. Thank you Camowen.

Mum is well cared for at Camowen and the staff there are very attentive. Standards of cleanliness are high - mum always looks clean and well presented. It's a very caring environment which is very reassuring to the family.

Very difficult circumstances unite my sister and it has taken time to adapt. She is now settled due to the lovely staff.

I find all the staff very helpful and friendly and provide good care for the residents. Dealing with dementia is a very difficult problem to deal with. I admire their patience in working with these residents and their understanding.

Patience, care, and listening are the best ways to describe the staff who work there. They are always responsive to the needs and constantly trying to keep all the clients happy in their own world!

I would like to say how welcoming the staff are at Camowen, feels like home, and nothing is too much trouble. The garden is very well lawned, it's got a nice feel. I love how it feels homely. I have visited quite a few times now, and have always been offered refreshments, time and space. The home is very clean and there is always someone to speak to. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

My Mother was a resident at Camowen Care Home from March 2022 into March 2024 (her death). At all times she was treated with respect and dignity by the staff. I fully believe that her life was extended by two years by the care she received there. I especially wish to commend 2 senior carers in particular and the manager for their compassion and professionalism.

Mum has been a resident at Camowen since 2019. Since moving to Camowen her health, mental well-being and overall pleasure in life have flourished. Mum has had the same key worker since admission ensuring consistency. The quality of care is excellent as is the catering, compassion of staff, and overall management of the care home.

Mum has lived in the care home for a little under a year. Mum is 99 and suffers from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. The care she is receiving is excellent. All the staff are kind and caring and she has benefited from the gentle routine, the excellent meals and the friendly staff. It is great to know she is in safe hands.

My mom is a resident at Camowen and has been there for 5 years this month and loves it there, she feels safe, the care workers can't do enough for her and she said the food is just the right size for her and very nice. I would recommend the home to anyone.

A lovely welcoming care home where my aunt resides. Staff are so friendly and l can see when there that they’re very caring to both my aunt and feel their warmth also when l visit. Her family are kept in touch on all things related to her care and well-being. My aunt relates to the staff well and l can see she is happy in the environment.

I would just like to thank all the Camowen Care Home staff that have looked after my nan since she came out of hospital. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone. My nan has loved staying with them but due to circumstances, we are having to move her nearer to us. They are very accommodating and their level of care is amazing. My nan will be sad to say goodbye.

I have been here for 7 weeks on respite. Everything has been very well done for me. The staff here are excellent, very caring. Also, the food is excellent. I will be sorry when I have to leave.

Everyone is well looked after and is cared for in a kind and caring way here and we are treated individually and nothing seems to be too much trouble for all the kind staff employed here. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the home to all I come in contact with and thank them for all their care and kindness during my stay here.

I just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Camowen for looking after my grandmother so well. She passed a few days ago. The home is welcoming and friendly when you visit, bright and cheery and doesn't smell weird. Staff are happy and seem to really love their work and all through COVID they have had no cases amongst the clients, which shows they really look after the ladies and gentleman in there. There are lots of activities, but my grandmother preferred to stay in her room. At age 96 and very frail - and having a bad experienced at her previous care home - that was fine! She was rather deaf but the staff were firm with her and made her hear and understand, and got her to do things they knew she could do when she was feeling lazy. They read her bible verses from her bible verse a day calendar, as they knew this made her happy. They sneaked her extra breakfasts, and knew she liked sneaky toast in the afternoon! I totally recommend Camowen.

I would highly recommend Camowen to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. I truly have nothing but praise for the way they are caring for my mum, who has been happy and contented there. Her room is bright and clean, and the staff (non-agency) are caring and friendly both to her and visitors; always taking time to stop and talk and help with any concerns, and the manager and deputy are equally hands-on too. The atmosphere is happy and uplifting, and care quality is second to none.

This home is the best. Since the last change of management, the home appears to have a much happier atmosphere and the staff appear more relaxed. Having said this my mother is deteriorating and the care she is receiving is of a very high standard. Any assessments that have been needed have all been followed through by the staff. They are all very aware of her needs which is why we want her to stay there as she becomes more frail. Would recommend this home for anyone.
