Villa Scalabrini provides excellent care to residents. The staff are caring and attentive. The home has recently benefited from redecoration which makes the main living areas much more homely. Communication with the team is very good.

I visited my dad during Tuesday afternoon music and singing activity. It was a truly joyful experience, and wonderful to see! Every resident joined in, either singing or clapping their hands or tapping their feet to songs that were familiar to them. The care team connected with each person in such a loving and patient way, enabling those able to get up and dance a few steps they wanted to, which added to the overall enjoyment of themselves and others. Providing this regular opportunity for a collective celebration of life is so important to the human spirit, and in particular, for older adults..it also reassures us as family members that our parents are being loved and cared for in the way that they and us as family members would hope for. Such care, patience, devotion, and hard work by the care team are the hallmarks of the best quality care and one for which as family members we are very grateful. Thank you Villa Scalabrini.

Both my parents were taken into care at Villa Scalabrini on 27th April 2021 due to both of them having dementia, the care and understanding they were given was outstanding. I cannot praise enough how dedicated, patient and hardworking the carers and all the staff and management members are. I am truly grateful to everybody for all they have done for the palliative care of my very elderly parents. Now that my parents have passed away, I wish the continual success of Villa Scalabrini. Without their care and knowledge I would not have been able to cope with this situation physically or mentally.

My sister has been with the Villa Scalabrini for 4 years now, as was my mother who recently passed away. Care from all staff for all aspects has been wonderful. They continue to look after my sister's needs, she has learning disabilities with great care and support since my mother's passing.

My mother started at Villa Scalabrini day care, she eventually became a resident there and has made lasting friendships with other residents but especially with the staff who treat her with the utmost care. They are very compassionate and dedicated and their treatment towards the residents is second to none, and nothing is too much bother. My mum has dementia and this care home has really stimulated her needs, she feels valued and has a strong part in this community. They have beautiful grounds, the activities are exceptional, and they have wonderful entertainment where they sing along to all the old Italian songs from their younger days. The atmosphere becomes electric. Family members are always welcome and made to feel at home too. The list goes on and on and Mum is very happy there. I have no hesitation in recommending this home, the whole team are absolutely exceptional, I can feel at ease that Mum has all the care she needs. Thank you all, I wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with Villa Scalabrini. Our aunt is a resident there and we live overseas so it was important for us to feel that she was in a place that treated her well in our absence. Our visits at Scalabrini were always a positive experience and reassuring that we were leaving her with compassionate and caring people. The common areas are big, bright, the outdoor area is beautiful, the staff is always pleasant. We could tell that our aunt was treated very well, knowing she was in an Italian-speaking environment was such a comfort to her and to us. Many thanks to the caregiving team and also to the administrative staff who were always so helpful.

My mother has been a resident of Villa Scalabrini for over nine years. Very sadly, she passed away on the 10th of April 2024. She had been living with Alzheimer's. During her stay at Villa Scalabrini, she received the most fantastic care. The staff are so kind and always treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. Because of this my mother was very happy at Villa Scalabrini and thought of it as her home. Even during her last moments the staff were caring and compassionate. This is truly an excellent care home.

Villa Scalabrini has a mix of people taking very good care of me while giving me plenty of choice regarding what activities I choose to join in with. The medical care is very precise, done with real affection. The food is roughly 4-star quality, delivered without undue fuss. My accommodation is a 2 room with shower, very comfortable, with (optional) TV and settee.

Very happy with all aspects of Villa Scalabrini. The place is spotless and the staff are wonderful. The management work very hard to maintain excellent standards. The food is freshly prepared. The activities are varied and fun with much music (often live) and laughter. Highly recommend.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives. She is very well looked after and cared for by the very friendly staff. I honestly have nothing but praise for the way she is looked after in a very caring and compassionate way.

Both my parents stayed at Villa Scalabrini Care Home for a two-week respite break which they enjoyed. We and they found the staff to be exceptionally kind and caring and would always do their utmost to make my parents feel safe and happy. Now with Covid restrictions lifted, they could enjoy the garden, communal activities and they loved the food. All in all, a very good experience.

My mother has lived at Villa Scalabrini for nearly two years and has various health issues. She recently had a visit from a healthcare nurse who reviewed her complicated meds. One of the staff stayed with us for the appointment, and it was so nice to see the wonderful rapport that she has with my mother. She, like all the other staff at Villa Scalabrini, are always kind, good-natured, patient and genuinely has my mother's best interests at the foremost of everything they do. My mother is happy and well looked after, and I could not wish for more!

It was difficult to accept that my father needed to go into care, however, the only place which was ever considered for him was Villa Scalabrini Care Home where he's been since May 2021. The care is exceptional! Everyone from management down is always friendly but professional, accommodating and supportive. There is a real warmth in the way they talk to my father and the way he is treated. When I visit, it feels like there's a family atmosphere about the place and between the staff. My father is always well-turned out and the place is always clean and smells fresh. The residents are encouraged to take part in activities and exercise programmes and I am regularly updated with his progress, often receiving photographs of my father taking part which is reassuring as I know he is well cared for and enjoying himself. Villa Scalabrini is the next best place to my father's home and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who found themselves in a similar situation.

Villa Scalabrini is always spotlessly clean and I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff involved in the well-being of her care. My mother is very happy to be there. As a family, it's very reassuring to know that Mum is safe, secure and is well cared for and I'm happy to highly recommend Villa Scalabrini.

My Villa Scalabrini Care Home experience spans a decade and my appreciation of the work of its dedicated staff was just as fresh last November on the occasion of the 103 Birthday of my relative. Residents are cared for according to a well rounded plan, always formulated with the special needs of the individual in mind, including different activities, fitness and music. There is no one-plan-fits-all in this Home, where the happiness and overall well-being of the resident reigns supreme.

My cousin has been a long-standing resident at Villa Scalabrini since September 2012. The care and love she has received during this period have been outstanding and consistent. The staff are all friendly, kind and understanding and always go over and above to keep the residents happy. She is always well-dressed and looks well cared for. The cleanliness of the Villa is again outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Scalabrini.

Every time I come to visit my father, the staff are very helpful. They always keep me informed about the doctor's visits and other professionals as well as about his condition. Every time I visit my father, he always looks clean and dressed well.

My grandmother has been a resident for almost two years, and my grandfather for almost the same amount of time until he recently passed. Both my grandparents have/had Alzheimer's and the care they've received at Villa Scalabrini Care Home has been exceptional. The staff are attentive and they truly focus on the care of the person as a whole, everything from physical therapy to broader enrichment activities. Some of the decor could be modernised but that is a very very minor point. Everything is kept spotless and I have no hesitation recommending it.

My father has been a Resident at Villa Scalabrini since August 2021. During this time he settled very well in Villa Scalabrini. His care is not only very professional, but everyone from housekeeping to the manager are so patient, kind and cheerful. They are also extremely helpful, kind and respectful. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I found the whole experience uplifting as when I left my father today, after seeing him. I saw him happy. I saw the security dog and security man. I would recommend the care home to family and friends. Excellent.
