View Full Details of Vicarage Residential HomeMum was in the Vicarage for a short time before passing away my family and I will always be grateful for the wonderful care Mum was given she enjoyed her last Xmas with you all we were always made to feel welcome by three members of staff in particular and the wonderful staff carries on your excellent work much love and thanks to you all.
Mum was in the care of the Vicarage for the last 2 years of her life. She was treated with the utmost respect and made a lot of good friends with the staff, as did I. I will be forever grateful for the care that they showed her.
The care and love shown to my mother-in-law in her last weeks and hours were exemplary. The care and kindness overall was very good and the staff are very approachable. Food, all home-cooked and doctors, dentists and chiropodists as and when required. Overall a very nice care home and we are glad my relative went there.
My mother-in-law was in Vicarage Residential Home for more than four years. She was treated with so much care and dignity. When she passed away she was never left to be all alone.
Our Mum was discharged to the Vicarage for recovery and assessment following a 3 week stay in hospital, where she had been seriously unwell. On admission to the Vicarage, she was very weak, frail, anxious and low in mood. Over the duration of her stay (approximately 9 weeks), the staff worked wonders with Mum and there are several factors for this. They worked with us to determine the best way forward with Mum and listened to any concerns we had. The staff were approachable and we felt we were able to have open discussions with them about Mum's care. Any minor issues we did raise were discussed and dealt with effectively. Responses to emails were prompt and detailed. The staff encouraged Mum to become confident and mobile again, which has worked wonders. The staff really do care about their residents and the Home does have a 'family' feel to it, based on our experiences. I would recommend the Vicarage to anyone.
Can't thank the staff enough at this place. My husband was cared for here for four months and was very happy here also. The staff not only treated him with the utmost respect but also were a shoulder of support to me and my family. All staff members worked well as a team and nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly place to visit and we always felt welcome and upon meeting other residents, they all looked happy and content around the staff and the home.
My Nan stayed at the vicarage for 8 weeks and I can not thank all the staff enough for all the support they gave to my Nan and my family, they all go above and beyond to make sure my Nan had everything she needed and to make my Nan super comfortable while staying at The Vicarage really made it feel like home from home! Would highly recommend The Vicarage.
I visited my wife each day at this home and was made to feel very welcome. I found every member of the staff were absolutely fantastic, so kind and caring. I have and will highly recommend them all.
The heart and soul of this home are the staff, from cleaners to management. I was here for 10 days and arrived in a very poor condition but thanks to their loving care, I recovered. I was made to laugh (always a good medicine) hugged when I was low and treated like I was somebody special. Nothing was too much trouble for them! My love and thanks to all of them.
One of the aims of this home is to provide a loving, caring family atmosphere and it is soon obvious that this is achieved. The managers are hands-on with an open door policy. Any issues are dealt with promptly. The food is home-cooked with good variety and there are regular themed meals when the dining room is decorated accordingly. The home is clean and tidy. Currently, corridors and hallways are being decorated. Laundry is kept up to date. Residents are included in decision making on decor, garden space and activities. Look past the building itself. The home is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble.
I cannot complement the staff at Vicarage enough. My father suffered from Alzheimer's disease. The wonderful staff treated him with such care and kindness as if he was a member of their own family. The building is in the process of being modernised, however, the care and genuine kindness shown by every single member of staff, was absolutely outstanding.
The staff go out of their way to make sure that my Mum's care is personal to her and her needs. They work really hard and support us as much as possible. The home has a lovely feeling when you visit. The managers are often seen walking around the home. They are there for you if you have any concerns. The home is clean and they take care of Mum's clothes, a lovely home.
Since new management took over there has been an excellent improvement for the mental welfare of the residents. My relative has been put to bed rest when she needed it and I kept informed of times etc. Although not dissatisfied with previous management, am very pleased with new. Lovely idea to have weekly programmes printed for our information and easy viewing.
My father has been in the home now for 2 years and my sister and I are very pleased with his care. The new management team has made a great difference.
Since the arrival of the new manager, there has been a palpable change for the better. Home smells cleaner and the staff much happier. All the staff are helpful and caring and mum has noticed the improvement herself. Nice atmosphere and a completely different energy abound. Would highly recommend this home.
