View Full Details of Aashna House Residential Care HomeOur Father spent his final weeks at Aashna House. The staff looked after him with such care, attention and most of all dignity. They supported him when he needed it, encouraged him and I'm sure they contributed to several additional weeks of his life through their love and care. We will be eternally grateful for the excellent care and support from all of the nursing staff and the management. A lovely environment, great food and always organising activities/events, wonderful people who looked after our Father with such care and attention. Thank you.
Most importantly, my parents are treated with kindness and respect. They love the food and the home is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. They are enjoying the company of others whilst in a safe environment. The manager and the team at Aashna House are wonderful.
Attended a 100th birthday celebration for my aunt at Aashna House today. My mother was a resident here between 2015-2018 before her passing and we had all been impressed with everything. It is reassuring that the high standards that the home had have not changed at all, in fact, they have been maintained and exceeded. Staff remain just as committed and the manager continues to deliver exceptional performance. This is remarkable at very challenging times and demands placed in society for adult social care. I am proud to have had an association with Aashna House.
My sister has Parkinson's for 2 0years and has been in Aashna House for one year. This was emotionally a huge decision and made it with a heavy heart as I had cared for her 12 years but became necessary as she was prone to falls. Finding a care home that meets your personal, cultural and religious needs is challenging. Aashna House ticked all the boxes and for the first time, I had confidence and trust that I had found a suitable place. The building has pleasant surroundings with a lovely garden in the centre. It is spacious with a positive calm and welcoming interior. Though the environment is excellent, what wins the heart is the quality of care provided. Their kindness, empathy and support for individual care needs excel all. The manager is very compassionate, dedicated and very supportive of residents' needs. This quality really shines through resulting down to each and every staff. Aashna House has given me a great peace of mind.
Excellent caring staff who tend to all my aunt's needs. My aunt is very active and it’s nice to see her becoming a part of this small community and being cared for by people who understand her. We visited her today and it was lovely to see her doing garba and dandiya as she would have done in her youth.
My father has been a resident for over 2 years now. He often talks about how happy he is to be staying at Aashna House. We feel that he is in a safe place with caring staff looking after him. The nursing team with the carers are professional and able to look after my dad's medication. The management team is very effective at leading the team, their monthly newsletters are informative and full of fun and colour. The many celebrations that the home has really added to my father's enjoyment. I enjoyed participating in the Diwali celebrations, professional music and food as a guest. My father enjoyed the Christmas celebrations more recently.
My father has been a resident of Aashna since March 2023. The management and staff are just lovely and they are always so willing to help and answer any questions we have when we visit each week. He has taken a while to settle in as he lived by himself before he arrived. He is always treated with warmth and respect by his carers. His room is kept clean and tidy. The food he is served is very tasty, nutritious and plentiful. We love the way there are so many celebrations at Aashna and at Diwali the common areas were beautifully decorated.
The home provides very good care. The carers are all polite and pleasant and also always helpful. The room is kept clean and is always kept warm.
This is my third set of visits since last year. I live in USA, every time I come for two to three months. I am very impressed with the quality of service and warmth by the care team. Very nice, clean place. My mother is a resident at Aashna House Residential Care Home, she really likes the place and she is very happy too.
I'm incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and support my mother receives at Aashna House. The staff are highly skilled, professional and caring. The facilities are top-notch, with spacious rooms that create a comfortable environment. The common areas are well-decorated, providing a welcoming atmosphere. What sets Aashna House apart is their personalized care, creating a strong sense of community and fostering meaningful connections. The staff ensure my mother's well-being, providing nutritious meals and engaging activities tailored to her interests. Communication is excellent, with regular updates on my mother's condition. The manager even visited my mother in the hospital on her day off to ensure a safe discharge. I highly recommend Aashna House for anyone seeking a caring and nurturing environment for their loved ones. Choosing Aashna House has had a positive impact on my mother's quality of life, and we are grateful for the dedication and passion of the staff.
My last review here was two years ago and so much has happened to my brother with various hospital visits to do with his illness. During this time, his care has been consistently exemplary, this is due in no small way from the amazing leadership. But particularly the wonderful ground staff. Love, empathy and dignity for my brother remains the reasons why I am writing this today.
My mom is Gujerati and speaks little English and has specific vegetarian food requirements. She only wanted to come to this care home, as such we waited for availability. She has been there for many months and had multiple visits to the hospital, the care home has been exemplary in handling the situation from managing her requirements to handling medication. The Gujerati food is the best my family have tasted, and my mom as a foodie is completely happy. All the staff are courteous and always help the residents and families with passion. The management team are exceptionally good and you can talk about anything and find solutions. I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend this care home. Thank you all at Aashna House.
Excellent care given, my dad loves the place. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and caters for all the residents. There are different activities during the week that my dad takes part in and enjoys. The social aspect makes such a difference to the well-being of my dad. He has been here for over two years and has always been very happy and comfortable with the environment.
My mum was a resident of Aashna House since Apr 2016 and this will be my final review as she sadly passed away on Oct 2022. I have reviewed before with praise and support for Aashna House, but this year I cannot applaud them enough. Mum was in and out of hospital this year, and the last round was from Sep 9th till she passed away in hospital on 17th Oct, over 5 weeks later. All this year the staff rallied around my mum, encouraging her to eat, to live, to be a survivor! The care home manager and staff visited my mum in hospital but she succumbed to her various illnesses. These 6 some years at the Aashna House my mum was so very content and at peace. She was cared for, respected and lived with dignity. With help from the staff, she created a Muslim Prayer Room and used it constantly. She made friends and was a well-loved resident. I know she will be missed by all at Aashna House and I cannot recommend them enough and thank them for their consistent and brilliant care. Kudos!
Room is clean, staff are very good with my aunty, always laugh and joke. Very respectful. Always very helpful.
I came to stay here on 1st January 2017. I have settled quite well and feel comfortable. I am satisfied with all the services provided. Management is good, rooms are well equipped, and carers do a good job. Now this care home is my home sweet home.
My father has been a resident now for over a year. He often talks about how happy he is to be staying at Aashna House. The management team is very effective at leading the team, their monthly newsletters are informative and full of fun and colour.
My auntie who is 96 years old has been a resident at Aashna House care home for almost 5 years. The manager and her staff have taken very good care of my auntie. My auntie can’t stop singing their praises. I would recommend this care home, especially for Gujarati-speaking people.
Can't speak highly enough of this care home. Well maintained; cheerfully decorated; great food (tastes homemade); caring, respectful staff and a commitment to its residents. The Manager is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet and I'm very reassured to know that my mother is in her care. I could say a lot more but there is really no need. Mum has been there for over six years and she is very happy as a result and so are her family.
A big thank you to the manager and staff for accommodating a small birthday party for my mum in the resident's lounge last Sunday 8th May. They made such a lot of effort and my Mum had a lovely time. It was the first time we had been able to visit as a larger group and nothing was too much trouble. They provided entertainment and food for the occasion and it was very well received.
