View Full Details of Globe Court Care HomeThis is a warm and loving care home with some lovely compassionate staff. The home is clean and tidy and my Mother's room is cosy with a nice armchair. It does not feel like other homes, there are plants, pictures, flowers, music and an activity wall. The residents have proper mugs and are treated with respect. There are lots of activities i.e. decorating for Christmas, Halloween and the meals are really nice. My Mother is happy!
I can't sing the praises for Globe Court Care Home loud enough! My mother spent a week here whilst I popped off to Egypt with my family for respite. My mother is in her 90's; has late-stage dementia and mobility issues. She is from the Caribbean and is bi-lingual, and has never been in a care home before, so I was a little apprehensive about how she would manage. After setting everything in place and dropping Mum off, I jetted off for a wonderful week's vacation. The next day after returning to the UK, I went to pick my Mum up, she was so comfortable, happy and well taken care of. She loved the staff and the staff loved her too. I would highly recommend Globe Court. Thank you so much, our family will always remember the love, care and patience you have shown us and to all of the other staff members we didn't get to meet personally, thank you also. God bless you all.
The residents are all clean and tidy, and the women have coiffed hair and varnished nails. My friend is very happy - she remembers the past but forgets anything said immediately. She especially loves having a frequent visit from the owner's 14" high, rule-the-world young dog. The staff are extremely polite to both residents and us visitors. They always have a thank you smile for me.
My lovely friend has been at your home about one year. I have been coming to see him regularly. I think, in every way, your home is excellently run and all your staff look after my friend which helps him to remain happy while he is with you.
The staff were extremely professional and courteous, they also appeared to really care, so important. The cleanliness and food were impressive compared to 5 or 6 care homes that I have been to in the Surrey area. Keep up the good work.
Myself and my family cannot praise the staff's care for our sister highly enough. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The home is clean, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the staff obviously working as a team. Compassion and dignity were shown, even in our sister's last days, involving hospice end of life care too within the home. We, as a family, were also given support when needed, including organising hospital transport.
No complaints both times.
The home is excellent, clean and the staff are very caring and kind, also the food is good.
The staff of Globe Court Care Home are very friendly and welcoming, it's like a big family there. I am very happy for my mom to be here and I would happily recommend this place to anyone.
My mum came to Globe Court 2 weeks ago, she was underweight and always looked sad. Since being at Globe Court Care Home she has put on weight, looks better and is starting to engage with other people/residents. It's never nice having to put a family member into care but I can honestly say it was the best move for Mum.
Lovely people looking after my father-in-law. He seems happy and comfortable here. Good communication.
Very impressed with the care home and its staff who are very caring to all its residents. We were very touched by how all the staff came outside when my aunt's hearse arrived for the funeral. It was nice to see how much the staff regarded and respected my aunt, both in her life and death. Thank you so much.
At first, this care home seemed very nice. My Nan had moved over from another home along with some staff who said they were very fond of my Nan and would look after her. What lies that was! Within a few weeks, the whole place went downhill, within weeks become very dirty and the smell of the place was overwhelming of wee and lots of other things. As like the other home, your feet stuck to the floor and had to step over wee, spilt drinks, food and many other things. My Nan with double dementia does not like to comply a lot (along with many other residents) and because of this, they would not wash my Nan, offer her food, clean her room or change her bedding. They stated that was my Nan's fault! We then went on a few occasions and my Nan was locked in her room. I asked a staff member how and why she was locked in as my Nan could not do this herself. I have on a recording a member of staff telling me yes we lock your Nan in her room along with many other residents. Shocking!
The environment is safe and healthy, the staff are welcoming.
Globe Court Care Home looked after my mother in law very well. She did not want to be in a care home and they helped her kindly and with a great deal of respect. The carers were consistently gentle and supportive. The appeared to govern and above their responsibilities. There was consistency in the carers who got to know her well and talked to her a lot, trying to please her and bring her the food she liked.
I thought that the caregivers were extremely patient and kind to my grandmother. There was always time to stop and talk with us, even when she was demanding. The facility is nice enough, with the bedrooms reasonably sized.
My grandad was admitted as an emergency for rest bite due to my nan becoming suddenly ill, she was his main carer. At first we were all absolutely devastated that Grandad had to go into a home but not only was Globe Court Care Home extremely welcoming, they were also very comforting to Grandad and to my entire family. After Grandad being in there just one night, we knew that this was the place we wanted Grandad to stay. Unfortunately it would now be long term due to nan's health but we wouldn't choose anywhere else, in fact we pleaded for him to be able to stay there! Every staff member has been friendly, kind and supportive! They welcome us at anytime of the day or night with no hesitations, all they ask is we avoid meal times which is signs of a good home! The staff are more like family than carers and for that we are so grateful. To the team and all the lovely nurses I thank you from the bottom of my heart for how you take care of all your residents but especially my grandad!
My father was admitted into Globe Court Care Home on emergency rest bite after my mother fell suddenly ill, as you can imagine it was and still is an extremely terrifying time! But luckily Globe Court had one room available, I cannot express how grateful I am that that room was free for Dad! He has settled so quickly, eating and even relaxing without his hat and coat, that may sound strange to others but the only other place he has ever sat like that has been at home! That tells me he is happy and settled. The staff are all so friendly, helpful, very supportive and understanding. I was welcomed to visit anytime, which put me at ease as you don't have to book an exact visit time, just avoid meal hours and to me that's a sign of a excellent care home! I had been very reluctant to let dad go into residential care but I can't praise the staff enough with their attitude and kindness, nothing is too much! Thank you so much!
My mother was placed at Globe Court on an interim placement. Although the location was not convenient for the family, we did not move her at the end of that time as we felt that she could not be better cared for anywhere else, and she lived there for four months until her death a fortnight ago. We were able to personalise her room, including having pictures and a small shelf unit put on the walls. I knew she was well-cared for, but after her death, I realised how much the staff also cared about her. I saw her face light up as different staff members approached her and she had a particularly good relationship with the activities co-coordinator. Communication with me was very good (eg a phone call to tell me that she had been prescribed anti-histamines). Unfortunately, her anger at her sudden loss of independence was focused on her daughters, and our visits were very difficult. The staff did their best to support them and were also very caring of me. I have no hesitation in recommending Globe Court.
We visited a friend today and found her looking well and happy. She was pleased with the staff and loved the pictures on the walls. The home was very clean and fresh. A good visit, and pleased with everything.
