The manager goes above and beyond in making this respite home very welcoming. She's a righteous, unique, hardworking, conscientious, manager who genuinely understands how crucial and important respite is needed for parents and families. The manager and staff of 138 All Saints Road took care of my son very well and this enabled me to carry on with my difficult caring role. I was almost at breaking point and only the manager recognised this and voiced her concerns. They ensured the rooms consisting of beautiful bungalows were immaculately clean, comfortable and well adapted. 138 All Saints Road is not just a building but a real caring home. My daughter has been attending All Saints Road Respite in 2024 as a first time service user. Nervous at first, but each visit becomes easier because of the care of the wonderful manager and staff who create a home from home atmosphere. They offer support in a very caring way. I know my daughter is in a safe place where her needs are attended to. The staff are approachable and any concerns are immediately dealt with. The special touches like getting the same room on every visit if possible and ensuring the amazing curry is on offer are priceless for an enjoyable stay. An excellent provider in all aspects.
I'm a carer for 43 years, having a break is essential to my wellbeing and enables me to prolong my caring responsibilities. It gives my son a break away from me and the opportunity to reside and socialize with peers and others in preparation for the future. Had I not found 'quality' care, I would be worried and stressed, my son unhappy hence counter productive. 138 All Saints Road provides excellent care for my son, enabling me to get the much needed breaks, without me being worried for his well being. The consistency of long term experienced staff - 5 staff members in particular, got to know my son and his personal needs and developed an excellent relationship with him. Staff are caring, listen to carer's concerns, are conscientious, and any issues swiftly and professionally addressed. Staff have an insight in communicating with service users, and encourage and keep them occupied whilst respecting their choice. My son's dietary and medical needs are strictly adhered to. Thank you!
The home liaised with myself and my daughter. They were welcoming and monitored my daughter's health and well-being. They offered her a choice of food, encouraged her to take care of herself and eat well. They took her out and ensured her visit was enjoyable. It gave me and my husband a chance to have a break and do an activity without worrying about her care. This is a wonderful resource that I am grateful to have access to. It is easy to book time and if there is a space you know immediately. It is good to know there are other people who know your daughter as well as you do if an emergency arose and she needed taking care of.
My daughter uses this respite unit regularly, on a monthly basis. She returns home in a happy mood. She enjoys the company of other clients and staff. The unit is very well managed and staff are friendly and kind. They are happy to discuss any issues. As the mother, I feel reassured that my daughter is well cared for and treasure the short break. The home itself is clean and homely.
My son enjoys staying at this amazing respite. The staff are lovely, friendly and very supportive. They are very accommodating and flexible. Thanks to all members of staff. We have always had a great experience. Thank you all.
My daughter likes going to 138 All Saints Road respite because they look after her nicely and if she is not happy she complains but this time she was so happy. My daughter goes to the Day Centre so the staff there are the ones who call me, saying what's going on with her then I know there's a problem. But this time I didn't receive a call from the Day Centre complaining, everything was good.
Cannot recommend this respite enough, my son recently moved from child to adult respite and my concerns at overnight's was soon reassured once he started here. He enjoys going, talks about the staff and has settled there which is something I never thought would be possible. The manager is helpful, mindful and amiable and cannot thank her enough for her help over the last 10 months, and all staff are outstanding! Thank you 138 All Saints Roads for helping my son have some independence from me and for me to have some time for myself.
My son uses this respite. He loves going to this respite. He is well entertained there. He also knows and loves the staff and seems to like them all. They even cook his favourite African dishes for him when he is there too. He gets to listen to his favourite music played on loudspeakers which he likes very much.
My child has always been happy to stay in respite and always appears happy when he comes home. He is able to verbalise so we are partially aware of his thoughts. We only use the service occasionally but are happy so far.
I am grateful to all the staff at 138 All Saints for the excellent care my son has received from you recently. We have always appreciated the short respite breaks that my son has had with you over the past four years. It is so reassuring knowing that he is in safe hands and that the staff have taken the time to get to know him and his needs and what he enjoys. My son has always found it difficult with transitions. However, he has always attended All Saints with no problems at all. This indicates to me how much he loves coming to All Saints. The staff are always really happy and friendly towards my son and he really enjoys it when he stays there. I feel that he sees All Saints as his second home and he shows this by how comfortable he makes himself on the sofa. He is always relaxed and happy when I come to collect him. Thank you for looking after my son whilst I haven’t been able to. It has been such a relief to know he is somewhere safe and familiar and being looked after so well.
Fabulous respite centre. The staff treat the service user with care, respect and dignity at all times. My daughter's need were met at the highest level. This makes it easier to get a good quality rest and feel refreshed to carry on my own care duties. The service is always clean and tidy and my daughter had lots of activities to keep her busy. Staff were always at hand for both the service user and the parent.
My daughter is a service user of All Saints. She absolutely loves going there and I know she will be so looked after she goes there happily and comes back home happily. As a parent her happiness and safety are paramount and I know I can leave her there and not have any issues or worries. The staff are wonderful with her and always on the other end of the phone if I need to check that she is ok and will always contact me if they have a problem. The respite itself is very bright, clean and spacious. On a daily basis, they cater for her dietary needs and her needs are always met. We have been using All Saints for a very long time and I am always happy to leave her with peace of mind. My daughter is totally deaf and at home when going to bed she has to have a side lamp on, this need was always met making her feel safe. It is all the little things that add up to a safe and caring stay for her. I wouldn’t leave her with anyone else. Because no matter what her needs are met.
The team have worked hard to ensure my son is able to be accommodated, due to his needs. Working with us as a family and local authority, to ensure he is understood and helping him to settle into a new environment for respite, due to his complex special needs. It has taken a while for him, but staff have been supportive and welcoming to ideas that have been suggested.
