We have visited our friend constantly over the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. This week our friend had a physical problem and the staff could not have been more caring and patient if it had been their own mother. There is always a friendly welcome and genuine concern for the residents. Cannot say more.
Ashglade Care Home managers and carers fully deserve every one of the five stars they get. My mum was with them for the past 14 months, and everyone cared for her exceptionally well. Myself and my family are so grateful to all of the staff for welcoming Mum into their small community and for the genuine love and warmth they give to every resident.
Our mum has been a resident at Ashglade for almost a month now and she could not be happier. It is never easy to admit a loved one into care but the staff at Ashglade have made the transition effortless. We can't thank them enough, they have welcomed Mum and us as a family with open arms. The staff are extremely caring and friendly and go out of their way to ensure that the residents are happy and entertained at all times. Thank you to the manager and his fantastic team for taking such wonderful care of Mum.
My nan celebrated her 100th birthday this month and the Ashglade staff put on a fantastic celebration for her so that we could all be there on her special day. Highly recommended care home with dedicated, caring staff.
Got invited by a resident's son, along with other friends and family members, to his mother's 100th birthday gathering. Was super impressed by everyone, particularly the lovely staff member; who I don't think could have put more care and love into making sure it was a special and memorable event, even if it was her own mum! The overall view was of a caring and friendly home.
Shocked to see that Ashglade rates 4.8 on this website. It should be 5! Mum has been here for just over four years and has been looked after wonderfully by the entire team. From housekeeping to hairdressing the care is absolutely fantastic. Mum celebrated her 100th Birthday this month. A lovely time was had by all attendees. Undoubtedly Mum would not have seen this milestone if she were not in the care of these amazing people. Five stars and then some! Just thank you!
Very homely and caring. My aunt loves it at Ashglade.
My adult daughter and I visited Ashglade in July this year as a possible care home for my wife. We were both of the same agreement immediately and knew this small, friendly atmosphere would take some beating with further, other viewings. This turned out to be the case! I had reservations regarding my wife though - who can be quite stubborn. However the staff soon brought her round and I cannot praise all of the staff enough - from the manager to the cleaner!
The staff are always friendly and make me welcome. The safety of the residents and staff and visitors is taken with the utmost priority. Although we think the fees are a little high we nonetheless accept that to get the level of care provided alternatives are hard to find.
I would recommend Ashglade to anyone in need of residential care because the staff are so caring they become like members of the family. It is a truly great place to be in your later years.
Ashglade has provided excellent care for Mum throughout the pandemic, keeping her safe and healthy. The manager, staff, and activities provider have all gone above and beyond to provide moral support as well as physical support during the lengthy periods of 'house arrest' when little to no visiting was allowed. The acquisition of a Facebook portal by Ashglade has been a great bonus to me to enable video calls with Mum, also the email updates were much appreciated. It was great to 'meet' some of the other relatives by Zoom call back in March 2021, a call organised by the Mills Care Director to explain visiting arrangements which resumed in April 2021.
I can't praise Ashglade high enough. My Nan came into their care in April after being in hospital for nearly 2 months. They were so helpful throughout the move and settling her in. We were offered video calls straight away which was so wonderful as we hadn't seen her, with the pandemic, in such a long time. We were asked to email them people/family members in her life, things she likes, memories, etc, so that they could know her better and arrange activities she would like. My Nan celebrated her 100th birthday in May and they went above and beyond to make it special for her, they were truly amazing. The care they give her is comforting and has given her family relief, knowing after the struggle we had getting her the right care she needed she is somewhere where they genuinely care for her. It's so lovely to be able to see her again and drop off her beloved biscuits! She is happy here, she laughs with the staff and has good banter with them.
I was very worried about moving my mother-in-law out of her area, I'm so glad we did because she loves it, she's so well looked after by the carers and we love the carers they are so helpful if you need anything. I would recommend this care home and I'm not just saying this, I really mean it.
Ashglade is an outstanding care home. They have looked after my mother for over 6 years. The staff are very kind and caring. They consider the needs of the individual, from their physical and medical needs, to their mental wellbeing and spiritual needs. I couldn't praise them highly enough. They also find time for fun and a laugh!
Staff always friendly and helpful, the home is always clean, I feel safe with Mum there.
Ashglade is friendly, homely and relaxing. Staff are amazing. My friend is very happy there. If I ever have to go into a residential home, my choice is, without hesitation, Ashglade.
Mum is 99 next month and Ashglade care will keep her going until she is 109. Staff are professional and caring and make mum feel at home at all times. I would like to stay in Ashglade when the time comes.
Despite the issues of Covid, the home has continued to be superlative in their care. They have facilitated garden visits, video call, and now, but new, Covid secure room for visiting. The staff are all genuinely caring and friendly. The food is home-cooked, and it is always spotless. Could not be happier.
The standard of care is good and there has been a recent extension to the sun lounge.
The home has a lovely atmosphere. All the staff took the time to say hello to me. The house was clean and didn't have any nasty smells. The residents all looked very well cared for and happy. They were doing an exercise class. The lunch looked excellent and the place felt intimate, not big and impersonal. Well done to all of you.
