View Full Details of Cecil CourtMy mother-in-law was struggling to look after her rural home and Cecil Court was the perfect place for her to have a two-week respite. The team were super helpful in arranging a tricky transition and very welcoming to her. We weren't sure if it would be a permanent move and in fact she decided to give independent living another try, albeit in a smaller flat closer to her family. Having her cocooned in Cecil Court during these difficult discussions was a godsend and there was a lot of understanding and advice from the team, even though we were in and out quickly. We'd definitely consider Cecil Court again in the future, especially if dementia becomes an issue. Thanks to everyone there.
In the few days between us finding Cecil Court, and mum's discharge from hospital, her room was painted with her choice of decor, and we moved some personal things in so that she felt comfortable when she arrived. Mum enjoyed many of the activities on offer, especially the live music and visits from local schools. The staff team were very kind to mum. Concerns about mum's health care were dealt with swiftly and professionally by the responsive management team. But the most important aspect of mum's 18 month stay at Cecil Court, was that we felt mum was safe there and that all the staff, including the cleaner and the cook, cared about mum's well-being. It genuinely felt like a home from home and a family community, and we will always be indebted to everyone in the team for making mum's last months as happy as they could be.
For what Dementia represents for patients and families, Cecil Court is about as good as it gets at providing a caring, efficient, clean, respectful, and competent environment to everyone involved. The management and staff are entirely caring and working to achieve the best possible environment for patients. Carers in particular go above and beyond to support patients despite challenging circumstances and difficult conditions. The rooms are simple but clean and well-managed. Residents are all treated with the utmost patience, dignity, and individual care. I could go on, but the respect and appreciation I feel for all those involved at Cecil Court, from management to staff, is pretty much endless.
The Manager of Cecil Court is compassionate, professional, genuinely caring, and just focused on the happiness and well-being of all the Residents and so is her superb team of carers, under her Management and training. The manager and her Excellent Team of Carers and Medics are sent from 'Heaven', they all are fully educated about every Resident's character and their fluctuating physical, medical, and psychological needs/requirements, and continuously provide the best and most compassionate care for each Resident. All the Carers and the manager are always very polite, treating each Resident with respect, dignity, and kindness. Cecil Court offers a variety of different mental and physical entertainments, tailored for each Residents' needs. Rooms, the Home, and all Residents are always very clean, the atmosphere is always very happy and pleasant, the food is excellent, and the list goes on. I visit my Mum every day and I credit Cecil Court, the manager, and her Team for winning the Best Care Home Award.
The staff and management prioritise the well-being and happiness of its residents above all else. One of the most striking aspects of Cecil Court is its commitment to care. Each resident is treated as an individual with unique needs, preferences, and interests. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, specialized medical care, or simply a listening ear, the dedicated team at Cecil Court goes above and beyond to ensure that every resident feels valued and supported. Beyond the physical comforts, Cecil Court offers a wealth of engaging activities, including a weekly musician and Royal Albert Hall performers for residents to enjoy. This not only fosters a sense of belonging but also encourages residents to stay engaged, and fulfilled. In summary, Cecil Court Care Home has an unwavering commitment to compassion and personalized attention. If you're seeking a care home where your loved one can thrive, look no further than Cecil Court. Four members of staff, in particular, are fantastic!
Thank you for the birthday cake. The residents and her guests greatly enjoyed it! Also thank you for the help from you and your staff fitting us all into her room. Special thanks to the person who made the lovely cake.
Thank you for taking care of my mum while she was staying with you. The staff are caring and kind and my mum settled in well with you and made some lovely friendships with the residents. It would be great if there were more activities and pictures shared with family so that we could see what our loved ones were doing at Cecil Court. Overall the rooms look quite dated but I believe this will be addressed soon. Thanks again to all the lovely staff and team and Cecil Court!
My lovely dad has been diagnosed with dementia and Parkinson's when we decided we would need full-time care, we did so much research, we wanted him in a home environment and that's exactly what we have at Cecil Court Care Home. My sister's brothers and dad's grandchildren are always greeted with a smile and words of support are always offered. Dad has developed such a warm bond with those that care for him, I watch and always listen and the care, love and compassion they always show him and us is heartwarming. Recently his health has declined but the staff never gave up, they were there, as always, willing him on, going above and beyond what was expected of them whilst still supporting us. Thanks to all their dedication he is starting to make great progress. Words don't seem enough but the managers and the staff at Cecil have changed ours and my dad's life in all that they say and all that they do.
My family and I were so worried when we were looking for full-time care for my grandmother - reluctantly, due to early signs of dementia, we had to look for a home away from home which is exactly what we found in Cecil Court Care Home. My grandmother's first language is not English and nor can she hear very well but Cecil Court's management team and staff have gone out of their way to ensure she is safe, understood and all her needs are being met, from her dietary requirements to the cultural celebrations. They are always keeping us informed and super flexible, especially with visiting her or bringing her home at short notice and always take time to understand her on a personal level.
The main point to show, is the caring and kindness of the staff. They really put themselves out t help when the bell is rung. On the whole, they're a cheerful and friendly lot. The management do their best to bring the equipment they need - hoist, comfortable chair etc. The residents are all well cared for and treated well.
Handing over care of a loved one is not easy, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Cecil Court was recommended from the daughter of a previous resident. It is very well run and has a strong, approachable management team. Our mother, who has dementia, moved to Cecil Court in September 2020 and settled in fairly quickly. The staff are dedicated, attentive, respectful and very caring. They are always able to answer our questions about Mum’s care. Owing to the Pandemic visits take place in the garden, the outside pod or via video calls - all of which are easy to arrange. We look forward to being able to visit inside. Mum enjoys the home-cooked food and says she is very well cared for.
I considered Cecil Court as a home for my mother as I had received a lot of positive word-of-mouth recommendations from friends who had relatives who had lived there or who had visited people in the home. My contact with the home from my first enquiry has been positive and despite Covid restrictions, it was easy to find out more about the home and its facilities before making the decision. Since Mum moved in, there has been regular and clear communication from the home and it has been easy to book appointments to see her. As the weather improves we will be able to meet in the nice garden area. I can tell that Mum is being well looked after and it is clear that the home has a very good relationship with local GP and community health services, to ensure that residents' health needs are met. When it is possible to take residents out of the home, the location will be a bonus as there is easy access to green space nearby, including Kew Gardens. There are good public transport links too.
Cecil Court have been so caring and supportive to my Mum. I would definitely say that she has improved since being at Cecil Court rather than living at her own property. I feel so reassured, especially during such a strange and difficult time, that Mum is with people who have her best interests at heart. The carers are so kind and gentle and really look after Mum’s wellbeing. Thank you to the team at Cecil Court for all your hard work and care.
My mother came here so she could be looked after day and especially at night. With the care of the staff it has been successful, she loves the food. The staff look after her very well especially at these very uncertain times. They are very good at entertaining and keeping the residents occupied.
My mother has been a resident at Cecil Court Kew for around 3 years. Mum is well looked after especially in these Covid-19 times. I had several small concerns as I’m sure most people would when their parents need a care home and these concerns were indeed taken care of. I must say to date, I have absolutely no problems and truly believe my darling mother is being well looked after by all Cecil Court care staff. Many thanks for all their hard work especially in these dreadful Covid-19 times. Looking forward to garden parties at the home, now restrictions can ease and summer is on us.
Our Mother spent 6 years at Cecil Court, and we always found their open-door policy very welcoming. The staff are all dedicated and hardworking. The location is excellent especially for walks to The Green, and Kew Gardens. The atmosphere is positive and happy and our family is very pleased to have chosen this care home. The staff were so kind, caring, and sensitive right up the end of our Mother's time there. Thank you to all of them.
Two years ago my mother moved to Cecil Court, where she is safe and really well looked after by the kind and caring staff. They are all excellent, very responsive and always ready to discuss my mother's care. The country's current epidemic presents extraordinary challenges for the manager and her team and they are complete heroes. Along with my family, I congratulate everyone working at Cecil Court for their caring professionalism and the excellent work and dedication you have all shown. We are confident that our mother, a centenarian, is in the best possible care. We are very proud of everyone at Cecil Court. This evening we'll be out again clapping in appreciation too.
Cecil Court in Kew is facing these unprecedented times with courage, humanity and cheerfulness in the light of an almost impossible situation. The dedication of all staff is so wonderful as they continue to care for residents while putting their own health and wellbeing as well as that of their families at serious risk. I am beyond words to express my gratitude to them all for so expertly caring for my very elderly Mother with devotion and endless kindness. She would be helpless without their care and support. Thank you so very much to the Cecil Court team. It means the world to me to know that she is so loved and cared for by you all.
My mum was at Cecil Court for nearly 17-months, and she couldn't have been looked after with more compassion. She felt at home, and her words were; that the staff couldn't have been nicer, 'they are all so lovely'. I visited often as I live close by, and I never walked into anything other than them being caring. I would always recommend Cecil Court as it was recommended to us.
I cannot praise Cecil Court highly enough. During the early days of the Coronavirus outbreak, my 88-year-old father, who has acute vascular dementia, fell and broke his hip, necessitating surgery. The hospital was understandably keen to discharge him as soon as possible. The team at Cecil Court really stepped up and are caring for him very well indeed. His recovery since returning to the familiarity of Cecil Court has greatly accelerated his recovery from the surgery. Despite being unable to see my father during the lockdown, the team at Cecil Court have facilitated ‘video’ calls with my sister, which is I think a great for him and to us as a family. Thanks again to all the team.
