View Full Details of Chaston HouseMy dad was here for 4 months, I cannot thank them enough for the care he was given here right until the end of his life. The staff are amazing, and it is more a home then a care home, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend here. Thank you all.
They are caring, kind, always communicate with me about everything. I felt they treated my gran as part of their family. Thank you Chaston House Care Home.
The staff at Chaston House Care Home were all very welcoming and friendly. Being my mum's first respite visit, I was naturally very worried but the staff were all lovely. Mum had a great stay there and I was given regular updates on her wellbeing. The house is clean and her bedroom cosy and comfortable. She was very well looked after. I'm already planning another stay there for her soon.
My elderly friend was in this care home for four years. She would not have got out for a few hours in four years, only I took her out. They did not provide for her religious beliefs. I had to go to the local church and arrange for them to visit her. The priest said they did not know the care home even though it has been there for years and only ten minutes drive from the church. My friend was left with no dentures when they lost them for four years. They didn't bring her to hospital appointments I had to bring her numerous times. They sent her out with no walking stick one day I went to collect her. My friend kept wishing God would take her when she was living there. When I rang to speak to her on the phone they didn't turn on the speaker and she couldn't hear me talking she was shouting for help but no one came. When she moved out they would not give back her T.V. One toilet on the ground floor for 12 people. Which I had to use.
My mother has been a resident for over 4 years and feels she has been well cared for and looked after. I have met so many of the staff and management during this time and all care about the job they do. I am always kept informed of any important news concerning my mum and the care home generally. The home is a house and has a homely feel and atmosphere.
