View Full Details of Five OaksThe manager and her team are absolutely amazing, they go far and beyond what is expected. They are so caring and have genuine love for all the residents. The manager always has a smile on her face and always puts the care of residents first. The manager has made, what could be a stressful time, so much easier. Another staff member is also brilliant too. Thank you Five Oaks.
Very good for a post operation stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly, pleasant and charming. As requested by me all meals were served in my room. Vegan food was available to me. The room was ensuite with shower, warm and comfortable.
We were visiting my mother/mother-in-law with some extra family members who had travelled from abroad. It was short notice. The care team made a fuss of us all. Our family were so impressed by the care and attention given by the care team. The care team are extremely busy, but they stop to give family members time. It doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you.
My mother is currently in respite care at Five Oaks following a fall at her home approx 3 months ago. She spent 3 weeks in hospital and the care she received in hospital was appalling. As soon as we were able to discharge her we contacted Five Oaks. The Five Oaks team have been amazing initially to transfer her from the hospital and then settle her into the Home and deal with her medical needs. Mum is now settled and working on her physio with the aim to return home one she is fully mobile again. In the meantime, the staff have all been amazing looking after her and becoming friends. Five Oaks has a real family feel with visitors always welcome. The lounge is buzzing with lots of care staff around all the time. Nothing can be 100% perfect but if you have any comments, just raise it with the management and the Five Oaks Team will sort it. Mum is happy and so are her family.
My mum has been in Five Oaks for over 5 years and has always received excellent care and attention. Even during the Covid era, she was very well looked after, and the staff were amazing, even at this highly stressful time. The family are totally happy with everything Five Oaks provides, and the GP support is very responsive, friendly and helpful.
My mother is a resident of Five Oaks with dementia. Mum has been a resident for several years and we are happy with the provision and the care she receives. We looked at several care homes before choosing Five Oaks, the experienced and friendly staff, the activities offered and the facilities made Five Oaks an obvious choice, and we have not been disappointed. The personal care mum receives is excellent, we can visit at any time and without exception, mum looks well dressed and cared for. The staff team work hard to ensure a positive feeling to the home.Communication is good, l am always informed if mum's needs change. Overall, l am happy to recommend Five Oaks as a good care home.
Five Oaks is a fantastic establishment. The staff are kind, caring and professional. The accommodation, food and activities are well thought out, and a brilliant food menu, is always on offer. The Manager is so hands-on and always a phone call away. They go above and beyond to help in any way possible.
My mother came to Five Oaks for 6 weeks respite after being in hospital. All staff have been friendly and welcoming to us all, and did there best to reassure my mother when missing family members. The home is kept clean and nicely furnished. Would benefit from an enclosed quiet area for residents and families visiting away from main lounge but they have some lovely activities during the day to keep the residents stimulated and active as well, which my mother enjoyed in her time there.
My sister has been a resident at Five Oaks for two years, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we first walked into the building, we were impressed by the bright, airy atmosphere and the warm smiles of the staff. We decided straight away that this was the right place for her. The new manager is incredibly and keeps standards high. Leaving no stone unturned. She's friendly efficient and genuinely cares about the residents. The staff are always lovely and attentive. As a family, we have great peace of mind knowing our sister is receiving the quality care she needs and truly deserves. We'd recommend Five Oaks to anyone looking for a care home.
Our father is currently staying at Five Oaks for respite after a long illness in hospital. The staff have been really great. Very friendly team, good communication with all members of staff. He has been made to feel welcome and comfortable throughout his stay and I would recommend anyone thinking of a care home to visit Five Oaks.
My husband joined Five Oaks October, and has settled in a very short space of time which has reassured me. I am happy to date with the care given. I find the staff to be approachable and friendly. Therefore, if I have any concerns I have no hesitation in speaking to a staff member. I really appreciate and value the open visiting time, not having to fit in a constrained set times, also never feeling pressure to leave and just being able to move around, for example going to his room together. Thanks to the leader and her staff team for their continued hard work.
I went to see my mother every day when last visiting family in London recently. I was glad to see that she was cared for in such as warm and friendly environment. My appreciation to all staff at Five Oaks for their excellent support
I vividly remember when in August 2018 my dear wife was diagnosed by her doctor with "Dementia in Alzheimer's disease!" a terrible blow! Two years later as the illness progressed and we could not cope at home, regrettably she had to go to a care home and COVID struck making things much much worse. It was a stroke of luck later on to find Five Oaks and move her. She is looked after with great care by the staff, some of whom have been there for several years in a family-like atmosphere, a lovely garden, constant attention, and care for the good food freshly cooked in the kitchen. All of this is a great comfort to me. The recent arrival of the manager a lively constantly smiling, always available efficient young lady manager is contributing greatly to the management of the home. I sincerely hope though that there will be not too many changes to alter the family like atmosphere that is so precious.
From my first visit to Five Oaks, it was clear that the home provided a bright, colourful and welcoming environment. Although my father-in-law's stay was comparatively brief, before long-term health issues took him from us, he was well supported, both medically and socially, with engaging activities and staff interaction. It is my opinion that he experienced more "life" in his final few weeks at Five Oaks than he had seen in the three or four years prior to his residency. For this, the family can be grateful.
My thanks to the management and staff for the outstanding dedication and care provided as the bridge between hospital and home. Having been discharged from hospital 2 night post total knee replacement surgery, I was welcomed in the most warm and friendly fashion by every member of staff from the first moment of my stay. My room on the "Quiet Floor" was comfortable and well-furnished which enabled me to live a very independent life with nourishing meals! The compassion and kindness of the carers made a real difference in my recovery and I appreciated their commitment to providing me with everything I needed during my short stay which made a stressful/painful time more bearable. Thank you for going above and beyond to provide comfort and support, I feel very fortunate that Five Oaks was available.
My very good family friend spent 4 years as a resident and was cared for extremely well by the very compassionate staff, but the main point I would like to tell others about was the terminal care that was given to her during her last couple of weeks. Although there was nothing anybody could do, she was made comfortable, kept clean and loved by all the staff, which is all we could possibly ask for. Well done Five Oaks and thank you for looking after my special friend.
Mum's stay at 5 Oaks lasted over two years. During that time, she was treated with genuine love and respect by the staff. The home provided a safe, yet social environment that brought Mum so much happiness and joy. Even during occasional challenges with her behaviour, the staff remained professional and compassionate.
My brother spent his last 5 years at Five Oaks and could not have had better care. The surroundings are clean, cheerful and comfortable, and the food is varied, well-presented and tasty. The care was professional and given with respect enabling each resident to be an individual. The staff are all exceptional, including the manager, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners and laundry staff. There are too many people who deserve an individual mention but thank you to everyone for making Five Oaks a homely place and allowing my brother to be himself for as long as possible. I was always kept up to date with any changes in his circumstances and care and felt part of his team. Also thanks for the support given to me and the lovely welcome whenever I visited.
My father lived here for 4 years and was well looked after by an excellent team who really cared. We couldn't have wished for more. Particular thanks go to five members of staff, but all staff deserve praise. Lovely setting, the house is clean and in a good location. Highly recommend this home.
My mother stayed in Five Oaks Care Home for the last year of her life and I can honestly say, the team there could not have done any more for her. Her last year was challenging health wise and with dementia setting in but they encouraged her to take an active role in activities and she sung her heart out to the end. She loved the regular singers who came to the home and despite struggling with memory, she could recall every word of her favourite old time numbers. The staff at Five Oaks are amazing, they are not just carers, they are warm, kind and amazing people who go above and beyond. The care and love my mum received was beyond anything I could have ever wanted for her. She was dressed immaculately every day. Even the chef got to know her little food pleasures in life and spoilt her regularly. This is a very personal care home, where the staff are the key asset and make the difference. The management is excellent, helpful and always available and supportive. You are wonderful.
