My stepmother was a resident in Grasmere for 8 years. She passed away in November 2024 at the age of 106. The love and care she received at Grasmere was excellent. The whole atmosphere felt warm and welcoming on our visits. The lounge and rooms were always warm, clean and tidy and the choice of food was good. We greatly appreciated the activities provided for the residents. We were always kept informed of any health issues that occurred and her needs were met. The staff were always kind and helpful. I am so grateful that my stepmother spent her final years at Grasmere.

Our Mother has been at Grasmere for two years. The staff are very caring and always offer help, should the need arise. There are plenty of activities available to residents, that make life at Grasmere a friendlier place. The cleanliness of the living areas is always good and the quality of the food on offer is to be commended. The open invitation for families to participate with residents at events or even meals is reassuring. There is a friendly feel to the environment felt when visiting residents. There is an online facility, that offers family members to look up various aspects of the residents in care. We are happy to have found Grasmere as a care home and hope that the home continues to offer the standards it has given during our Mother's stay.

My mum has been in the care home since September. She arrived from hospital where she was struggling due to the lack of staff and she became a bed blocker and lost interest in everything and the ability to walk. The care and attention to detail at Grasmere has been exceptional where my mum has thrived and she is now very content there.

Very happy with the care, mum loves all the staff. Very well fed and any medical needs are picked up on. Seems very content, says her bed is comfortable so sleeps very well and she is warm and cosy. Thank you.

Our experience has been excellent, both my brother and I feel absolutely at ease knowing our mother is being looked after so well by the team at Grasmere. All the staff are compassionate professionals.

Our family has had the best standard of care for our mum, I honestly don't think it could get any better and our mum seems so happy there. Whenever we go there she is always dressed nicely. She's always clean, her bedroom is always clean and tidy etc. The staff are nice and we always have a chat! Thank you so much.

Our friend has been in Grasmere for over 2 years now. The staff have been able to address all the issues which have arisen very much to our satisfaction and for the welfare of our friend. We are keen for our friend to remain at Grasmere as long as possible. Regarding the rates below - we have observed each item and would still say they are excellent. However, we still say costs are very high but are aware of the costs of maintaining a care home particularly where staff salaries are concerned.

On placing my mum in Grasmere after researching residential care in the area we came across Grasmere and was recommended by some friends as it had a good reputation and it didn't disappoint. My mum was rather challenging when she first went to Grassmere but the staff were so patient with mum and she is now settling in nicely. Me and my family are so grateful and it really has put our minds at rest as we can see the change in Mum for the better.

Very happy with the service provided. The staff are great and go out of their way to help you. Mum has improved so much since being in this care home. I can honestly say we made the right decision to place her in this care home.

All the staff at Grasmere are excellent and experienced. They try their best to meet my friend's needs despite her very tricky demands. My friend has lived there for several years now and I feel that they know her very well.

My mother has been a resident at Grasmere for over 3 years and we have been highly impressed with the care and kindness that Mum has received throughout. The staff are caring and attentive, showing warmth in their interactions with the residents. There is a good variety of entertainment and activities and even outings to the local garden centre! The home invite families to events, even hosting a Fireworks Party this week which was a really intimate "Grasmere Family" resident/carer/family mix with all ages enjoying a superb display of fireworks. There is always a happy atmosphere in the home, often with music playing. Mum's room is always clean and tidy with fresh bedding and clothes daily. Mum always says how good the food is and it seems that her likes and dislikes are taken into account. The staff are always available to answer any questions that we have and we feel that Mum is safely and kindly cared for. Thank you to the Manager and all the wonderful staff at Grasmere.

Since my mother moved in February 2024, she has enjoyed the caring surroundings and wonderful care staff. The activities in particular have been a very important part of her enjoyment and engagement. Regular outings and church visitors is also something that my mother really enjoys. Finally, I have noticed how happy she is generally and is eating so much better and has maintained a good varied diet.

Very friendly staff, always willing to help Mum and keep on top of issues. Mum really likes the home-cooked food and likes all the activities that Grasmere run, especially the trips out to the garden centres.

I feel my relative receives a high level of personal care by thoughtful and considerate members of staff. The activity coordinator really knows the resident's capabilities and adapts tasks appropriately.

My mother has now been a resident of Grasmere for almost 3 and a half years. She will be 98 next month and has increasingly poor sight, hearing and mobility issues that compromise her day-to-day living but she is so well looked after in Grasmere. She never ceases to praise the great care and good food she receives. Grasmere is well-led and managed and we are all very grateful to the entire team for all their tender loving care to Mum. Thank you every one of you.

Mother is content, consistently comments positively about quality of food and kindness of staff. Management is efficient and approachable and flexible concerning borrowing wheelchairs for family outings.

The care at Grasmere Rest Home Sutton is very good. I have every confidence that my mothers needs are being met in a professional and personal fashion. The team are attentive to the residents needs and always helpful. I would recommend this care home.

Grasmere made the last 3 years of my mum's life happy and safe. She felt so loved by every single person there from the carers, to the domestic team, through to the entertainment, to the chefs through to maintenance and admin staff. Every single employee at Grasmere made her feel special. Every evening she rang me full of news of her day and all the fun she had and places they had taken her. I can’t ever thank them enough for the care she received and for the support they have shown me also. She loved them all so much and I would recommend Grasmere to anyone.

Dad has been a resident at Grasmere Rest Home for over a year. The home is well-managed, friendly, attentive and caring. As a family, we are very happy with the care that Dad gets. We are very pleased that Dad selected Grasmere as his preferred home. The management and staff could not be better.

All seems OK. The management of this home and the care given by the staff appears to be good and any issues raised by the family are listened to and, in our family's case, acted upon.
