Lovely friendly staff, who are very caring and helpful. Dad's very happy and so are we, knowing he's safe and well cared for. Can't ask for better! Lots of activities and social interaction with patients and staff. Great garden too.
Excellent care for my sister while informed of what's going on. If my sister needs anything they will let you know. Staff very friendly, very approachable, easy to talk to. My sister feels she's okay there and we can visit any time. There's no restriction. They're very open with their care.
I'm really grateful and appreciate how much consideration and care Highcroft Care Home has given to my mum. The staff have supported my mum with different activities and short trips, which my mum enjoys and gives her time to go out. The staff have always made my mum feel comfortable. She has great rapport with them. It's lovely to see my mum have a good laugh. Her health and mobility has improved. When my family and I call and/or visit, they always inform us about how she is and any important information on her general health. I am so proud of my mum and I can't thank Highcroft Care home enough.
My mother became a resident in Highcroft earlier this year and my brother and I are extremely pleased with the care she has received since being there. All of the staff including the manager and owners are professional, approachable and caring. The residents are treated with dignity and respect. There are regular outings, including visits to the library and also daily activities that take place in the home that we are able to view on social media with my mother taking part. It is also satisfying to see that her mobility has improved considerably since she moved there as she has more space to move around in. We recently attended the summer barbecue held in the garden at the home and a great time was had by all residents, family and staff.
My mother has received such wonderful care during her stay at Highcroft. All her medical and hygiene needs are provided at a high standard by the caring and friendly staff. Highcroft also arrange different programs to help entertain the residents, my mother has enjoyed meeting pets and interactive games and visiting the local library.
We are very pleased with everything that the home offers, the cleanliness, the staff, the professionalism and the overall care my mum receives is outstanding, she has settled very very well and she’s happy and contented in this home. I cannot speak highly enough of everything that she receives here
I am very pleased with the care that is given to my relative, she seems a lot happier in herself and has put weight on. The staff are very friendly and she gets on with them all. She is able to communicate with the other residents and enjoys the constant company.
We, as a family, are very pleased with the care home, staff are exceptionally very good, and I can’t praise them enough for always making us very welcome, and Mum is very happy here. When Mum moved in, she was very scared of what to expect, but the staff and management made her very at ease and happy.
Mum has been a resident here since July 2023. She appears to have settled really well and have observed her mixing with other residents. Her eating and sleep patterns also seem to have improved. Staff at the home are welcoming and friendly and seem to be supporting Mother appropriately. I would definitely recommend the unit to others.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Highcroft staff who looked after my mother before she passed away. The staff are very caring and made my mother's time at Highcroft special.
As a regular serving member of the Royal Air Force, I came to know a resident at Highcroft Care Home, whom I have visited on occasion. My initial visit was one of total surprise, having visited other care homes before. The manager was most welcoming, as I presented Norman with a bespoke cake and commemorative plaque for his birthday from the RAF. The manager made my visit very pleasing, to see the resident, an Ex WW2 Pilot, so happy and still very chirpy was satisfying. He was very complimentary of the staff and the care provided to him, he was most fond of the Manager and commented upon how well she has taken care of him. He alluded to his years of flying missions over Africa, keen spirited, he had his wits about him as he wanted to know what was going on in the 21st century RAF. To my delight, I was offered a cup of tea, by the manager who delightfully kept him in a comfortable atmosphere, where we lamented about our own experiences of the RAF. To the manager, well done to you.
I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Highcroft Care Home. I cannot thank you enough for all the outstanding care and understanding you gave to my father over the past two and a half years of his life. He was so happy living at Highcroft and it was always comforting for me to know how well he was being looked after. Thanks to the compassionate care and attention provided by all the staff, my father lived a longer and happier life. Everyone's commitment to his well being right up until the very end of his life will always be so appreciated. I was so grateful for the support and compassion that was shown both to my father and myself at that very difficult time. Thank you again to a really outstanding team for all your kindness and hard work.
My uncle spent two and a half of the best years of his later life at Highcroft. He was loved and respected by the staff community. They did so many thoughtful things above and beyond for him, for which we are eternally grateful. The home is emotionally warm and so, so inclusive. When my uncle passed away and since all the staff have been wonderful. The leadership is outstanding, the care and nursing staff lovely and the physical environment wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank you.
As a volunteer RAF association welfare officer who visited a RAF veteran for over 5 years, over two years of which was to Highcroft Care Home, I wish to commend the staff and in particular the manager for the outstanding, sensitive and 24/7 personalised care delivered to my friend in his final days before passing. The manager was constantly with my friend at his bedside, reassuring him, ensuring he received medication when appropriate and facilitating the presence of an RAF Padre to administer the Sacraments. I have accompanied many people to their passing in my capacity as MA theology pastorally qualified. The balance between retaining lucidity and pain management was expertly administered and my friend was able to be a fully engaged active participant in the Sacraments. It was evident to me that he derived great spiritual peace and joy. I cannot commend Highcroft enough. They managed and ensured a dignified 'good' death in a familiar environment surrounded by those who loved him.
The staff are very friendly kind helpful and supportive. I live in Ireland and when I ring they are so happy and even know my name before I say it. Daddy loves it and he loves his coffee and brandy in the morning. I can't thank the lovely staff enough for all they do for him and all the people staying there. I love seeing the beautiful photos on your social media page.
My mum has settled in really well and is very happy. She is clean and well looked after. Mum also enjoys the interaction with the staff, the activities and loves the food. I have found the care home staff very pleasant and they treat my mum gently and with care as she is very fragile.
My Mum was transferred to Highcroft Care Home in November 2020 from a hospital. Unfortunately, this move coincided with the Covid-19 lockdown so I was unable to visit her for several months. Despite this, I soon got the impression that she was in very safe and professional hands. On one telephone call, she managed to tell me that everybody at Highcroft Care Home had been extremely kind to her. Once the Covid-19 rules were relaxed and visiting was allowed I was able to see for myself that Highcroft Care Home is an extremely well run home with a warm atmosphere. The manager went out of her way to encourage my Mum to go downstairs for her meals and for the stimulation of some company. Plus the activities manager was always very committed, regularly playing her favourite songs and encouraged her to sing along. Highcroft Care Home really shined during the last few weeks of my mother’s life. I want to thank everyone that works there for their diligence and professionalism, but most of all for their compassion.
My Dad has only been at the home since January 2022. Since he has been there he is noticeably happier and seemingly better in himself. He looks forward to waking up each day. He enjoys speaking to other residents and participating in the activities. The staff are excellent and very friendly. My Dad enjoys the food and it shows as he was very thin when he arrived there. He looks a lot better in himself now that he is there. So far we are very happy with his care in this care home.
Mum settled well into Highcroft Care Home - I particularly like the layout where residents sit in the lounge or conservatory and can interact with activities or just rest but also the staff are constantly either interacting with the residents or doing other duties and the residents can watch, see and hear these - such as preparing the table for meals, hanging out and bringing in the washing - activities that they would have possibly been doing in their own homes - I feel Mum isn't on her own even if she might be in her head with dementia.
Excellent communication and fantastic staff who can't do enough for you. My father is loving the care home and activities. We have been made welcome and the communication with medical professionals is seamless. My father has taken to all the staff and wishes to stay as he is very comfortable
