View Full Details of Langley Court Rest HomeIt is my intention to write a perfect review. When my mother first moved to Langley Court she (like many) was very reluctant to go to any care home. Early on she was a bit grumpy and the new way of doing things took some getting used to. Early on there were "imperfect" staff members. Now she is very happy. We are always touched, moved even, by the love that the staff show to here and the diligent care in every respect. 100/100 from me!!
The care home is the best. The staff are amazing - always tending to the residents with their best interests at heart. It all comes from the manager who is excellent at his job. I'm so happy my cousin resides here.
Following a bout of pneumonia, our 95-year-old Dad was transferred to Langley Court from Kingston Hospital as a step-down for four weeks, prior to going home. Unfortunately, the pneumonia and his advancing Alzheimer's had taken a greater toll on his health than was initially thought and he was assessed that he needed full-time care going forward. The question was does he stay at Langley Court or somewhere else? As his family, our visits to Langley Court answered that question. We could not fault Langley Court, the set-up, cleanliness, staff/residents ratio, and the attentiveness, compassion and respect shown by the care staff were excellent. We knew Dad was in the right place, he was happy and well cared for. We have no hesitation in recommending Langley Court to anyone looking for a rest home to care for their loved ones in their later years.
I have never seen anything but love, care and pure hard work from every single staff member. Going through one of the toughest times in my life. The staff looked after me and my family above and beyond. I cannot express enough of how amazing they looked after my dear Nan. I am so thankful for everything they have done. Every day and night the care all members of staff have for all the residents is unreal. I will never forget how amazing they have been and made an awful experience so much nicer to deal with. Thank you so much.
My mother became a resident of Langley Court Care Home in June 2020 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She was unable to stay in her own home due to wandering. The staff at Langley welcomed her and had to put up with her wanderings and escape attempts with professionalism and compassion. After a spell in hospital with a severe infection, the staff looked after her extremely well, tending to bed sores developed in hospital and then giving her excellent care for the next two years whilst she was immobile. I thoroughly recommend this home.
The care at Langley Court is excellent. Staff are warm, friendly and very attentive to residents' needs. If my sister or I have questions about our mother's care, the staff are very happy to answer. We are so pleased that Mum is so well looked after. We know she is in safe hands.
A charming old Victorian building and was very welcoming on the first visit to see accommodation and talk to the manager who gave us all we needed to know re charges, night time care staff and put our minds at rest, therefore no concerns. This was a first-time respite stay at Langle Court, altogether a very good one.
Our mum is at Langley Court Rest Home and has been for a couple of years. We can only praise all the staff for excellent care, every single staff member is wonderful, caring, compassionate, understanding and patient beyond expectations. We couldn't have wished for a better home for our wonderful Mum. Whenever we come, she and all the residents always seem happy so that makes us happy, as we love our mum so much. Amazing home.
We could not be happier with the care and attention our mother receives from the staff at Langley Court. The staff go above and beyond to make Mum feel comfortable and cared for. Excellent attention to detail and we are always informed of any changes. As a family we feel lucky to have found Langley Court for Mum.
My mum had dementia and Langley Court staff were excellent with her care and hygiene needs. There was always a happy and warm atmosphere and communication excellent. The staff are professional but more importantly empathetic towards the residents and their families. I have no hesitation in recommending this rest home.
My mother has been with this care home for the past three years. Caring staff understanding management. Overall, I am pleased with the care home.
Impressed with all staff. Kind, friendly considerate and caring. Mum has settled in after three months. Enjoys the food which, is well prepared and especially the cups of tea. Room and commercial areas are kept clean at all times. Commendable.
Our dear mum has been a resident for almost two years. She has recently had another trip to hospital but thankfully, is back in the safe and warm home, she is so happy in. The staff at this home are outstanding in mine and my sister's opinion. They all literally display such genuine warmth and kindness, at all times, to Mum. Kindness and compassion are in abundance here, to all the residents, whatever their needs and we are very happy knowing how well she is taken care of. We visit very regularly so are fully aware of all aspects of care needed, and we're so pleased to say that we are fully confident that our mum is in a very safe and loving environment.
Mum was welcomed and taken to her room for respite care. All staff very polite and caring, and made us feel welcome and secure. Room well equipped and clean. Food excellent choice. Mum had a haircut, which was really nice. Had a follow-up call when Mum came home to see how she was settling in back home.
My father was a resident at the Langley Court Home in 2023. I visited him at the home several times; he had settled in well and was happy living there. The home was clean and tidy and had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and caring, dealing promptly and effectively with my father’s requirements.
Please note these people lie. My mum has fallen about four times, the last time she broke her hip and had to have an operation to fix it. She will be in hospital over Christmas, the nurse said when x-rayed she has done a proper job of breaking it, they also said she has pressure sores, and they feel that may be neglect. We had to get the police involved, as the manager said the attendant stopped her from hitting the floor, the hospital has issued a safeguarding concern. They told the police the CCTV does not work.
My dad was a few weeks. The care was amazing there, they looked after him so well. Very friendly and kind, amazing staff. Know how to care for dementia and other disabilities.
