View Full Details of Lawnfield HouseMy Aunt, now aged 92, has been a resident at Lawnfield House for just over two years. When she was in hospital due to a serious fall in her own home, she was placed at Lawnfield by the social worker and my sisters and I have been deeply thankful that it has been such a good home for her. She has been happier, better socialised, respected and treated with affection on a daily basis than ever before in her life and this has meant a significant improvement in her mental and spiritual as well as physical health. The staff are always kind and patient with her and they communicate well with me on the phone and when I visit. The manager and administrative staff are accessible and responsive to any questions or needs. Her room and the en-suite are always clean, the hairdresser visits regularly and on the few occasions when a GP visit has been needed, the staff organise it promptly.
Our Father was in Lawnfield House for approximately 3 years until his passing in May 2022. During his stay in this 5-star Care Home, he was always happy/comfortable and the staff all looked after him extremely well. The food was great, his bedroom and ensuite bathroom was clean and the overall facility was always warm and welcoming. However, the best thing about Lawnfield House is the staff! Everybody from the strict but very competent and caring Managers to the wonderful Care Team, to the auxiliary and night staff were top-notch people, all of them with an innate ability for caring, respecting and patience. If I fast forward now to January 2025 and the present date, it suddenly became necessary to find a care home for our lovely mother. My sister and I made one call to Lawnfield House just to ensure that the manager and many other staff were all still running the place and our decision was easy. Mum moved into Lawnfield a few days ago. Good luck with your search.
My mother has really settled into Lawnfield House and this is in large part because of the care and attention of the carers and staff. There are lots of activities and the residents are treated with respect.
My mum has been in Lawnfield House for the past six years. She has extremely complex medical needs as well as Parkinson's dementia. The staff and management go out of their way not only to take practical care of Mum but emotional care too. They are loving and kind. If they think there might be something wrong, they do not hesitate to call me. For the past six years I have turned up at the Home unannounced at all times of the day and night and have never found it to be anything other than warm professional and caring. I cannot recommend this Home highly enough. The managers are kind, capable, conscientious and respectful. And my mum's care team are loving and kind to my mum and all the residents. It is a hard choice to put a loved one into care but I have never regretted my mum being at Lawnfield House, it is a home away from home. Not just for Mum, but for me and my brothers, too.
My aunt has been in the Lawnfield home for a year now. We are very pleased with the care she receives. The staff are very friendly and caring towards her. The staff are very welcoming towards us when we visit and are also willing to answer any questions we have. The home is very well maintained and my aunt's room is kept very clean. The management are at hand to answer any queries that arise. We have attended a couple of parties there to celebrate special occasions. They were great times with a brilliant atmosphere and all the staff took part. She is very happy at Lawnfield. Thank you all for looking after her.
My aunt is being looked after by caring, friendly and respectful staff. When visiting her, the staff are always pleased to see me and very welcoming and also always available to answer any queries. Could not be happier with her overall care.
I see the care and support given to my mother-in-law from everyone involved at Lanwfield House. This is very evident in her behaviour, her appearance, and overall well-being.
Staff very caring and always look after the residents. Always have time and are very helpful. Staff always make me feel welcome and offer me a cup of tea.
My elderly aunt has been in Lawnfield House for just over six months. I have visited on several occasions and found my aunt in good health. Clean and tidy and happily engaging with staff and other residents. She told me the staff are very kind to her and was able to tell me their names and who was the main person in charge of her everyday care. A few times I have rung to talk to management. They instantly know who I am enquiring about. And are very courteous and knowledgeable. Our family are very pleased with all aspects of the running of this establishment. And our aunty is happy also.
My mother has received great care and attention since moving into Lawnfield House. The home is clean, all members of staff are kind and caring, two special ladies do daily activities, which mum enjoys and attends all. Food is 5 star, which shows on Mum, management is approachable and understanding, been three great parties for occasions since Mum has been there and all get involved great atmosphere. To all the staff thank you for all your hard work in keeping my mum looking well safe and happy.
My wife and I were moved into the home at short notice after she broke her hip at a previous home and then spent time in hospital. She died from complications soon after, leaving me here on my own.
Excellent all-around care. Kind and efficient staff. Plenty of food at all meals.
My dad was a resident here from June 21 to March 22 until he was evicted by the manager as they couldn't meet his needs despite him having 24/7 agency carers. The manager, I believe wanted him out as I made too many complaints over his care. Had wanted him out for a few months before he eventually went to the hospital with dehydration and a chest infection. The hospital wanted him back there but the care home wouldn't take him back, unfortunately, he broke his hip in hospital. This care home says it's a specialist in dementia but many of the staff don't know about dementia. There was no heating working properly on the ground floor. I had to buy a heater. I was told the heating hadn't worked for 7 years. My dad was left to wander out in the garden at night by himself. I asked for a lock to be put on the door but couldn't as said was a fire door despite being 2 fire doors. A few care staff are nasty and disrespectful to both residents /family members. Bedding lacking /towels frayed/holes bed wet with urine regularly.
This was my first time putting my mother in respite, and this was everything we hoped for. My mother was well looked after. The experience was so good that my mother is wanting to return to the home where her friends and the nice nurses are. We a looking into the possibility of a longer stay. Thank you all.
Since my father has moved to Lawnfield House, he has been getting the best care ever. He has improved significantly with his health (i.e eating and sleeping) in comparison to his last home. Dementia is a disease that can’t be cured, but here at MHA the staff treat my dad with so much care. They are kind and considerate to his everyday life and his needs. As a family, they have been very accommodating with our transition to Lawnfield House. Regular visits and day outings with my father has helped us tremendously to cope with his disease. Every member of staff is friendly and supportive. I definitely would recommend Lawnfield House to anyone that’s looking for care for their loved ones.
My mother had been here for a year and she seems very happy. The staff are simply amazing. Truly caring and loving to my mother. We couldn’t ask for more. Special thanks to the members of staff who always bend over backwards to help us with special requests for our mum.
Although my mother's personal hygiene needs were excellent, they failed to meet her medical needs and took nearly two weeks to call a doctor out when her leg was swelling with pain, even though she had just suffered from blood clots, prior to going there. They seem reluctant to give her a second Corona jab. I asked on many occasions and eventually was shouted at by the manager that all their residents had already been given their jabs. At this point I wondered was my mother not a resident here?
Mum was a resident at Lawnfield House for a year and a half. She was extremely well looked after and the staff at Lawnfield were wonderful. When visiting Mum it was like visiting an extended family as everyone there was so kind and welcoming. I used to visit regularly with our dog, Lola who was always welcomed too. There is always something nice going on for the residents like singing, painting and drawing and celebrating special days and events. Now Mum has gone, I really miss everyone at Lawnfield House. I can't thank the staff and management enough for the kindness they showed to my mum and to myself and Lola. Such lovely memories.
The staff at Lawnfield House bend over backwards to help my friend, they are not just there for the residents but for the family and friends. From the reception staff to nurses, volunteers to kitchen staff and cleaners, everyone is kind and helpful.
My mum was lucky enough to be a resident at Lawnfield House for the past four years. During the pandemic although it was obviously difficult not being able to visit, I knew my mum and everyone was being kept safe. We had weekly emails and were always able to ring or have Facetime calls. A special visitor's pod was built outside and as soon as I was allowed I had a lovely safe visit with my mum. The staff always go the extra mile to ensure the residents have lots of fun activities to do such as music and dog therapy which are all enjoyed by everyone. This is a lovely, safe and happy environment for anyone's relatives.
