View Full Details of Moreland HouseAll I can say it's that I am happy and gratefull for the experience with the staff of the care home. The management together with the staff act as a great team. working for the residents well being and living in a warm and safe place. Once of one of the staff noticed that on one of my mom occurred it was reported to the nurse and the nurse call me to inform me in the same time the treatment has been been done. Thank You!
Having visited my friend in the nursing home. I was totally impressed with the home. The home was clean and smelled lovely. The staff were professional and very caring and I felt very involved in my friend's care. As he was a very senior doctor, the staff were exceptionally sensitive, showed compassion and support and were very respectful of his life, culture, needs and family. He died, however, the handling of this was again professional, respectful and of the most considerate and gracious attention. Special thanks to the manager who went above and beyond.
My Brother has been here just over 2 weeks, he seems to have settled in really well. We are more than happy with the care he gets, he is always clean and tidy. If we turn up at meal times the food looks really nice, we could eat ourselves. The nurses and carers are very friendly and make us welcome, nothing seems too much for them. The home is always clean and tidy.
My friend is very well looked after, she's on the 1st floor and the staff here are very well mannered and kind, always helpful to her.
The staff are very friednly and my parents are well looked after. The staff are also alert to the needs of the residents.
My mum has been a resident of Moreland House Nursing and Care Home, she was 97 years old when she arrived and 101 years old when she passed away. The care and attention she received was wonderful. Mum had Alzheimer's disease and the home was so good in understanding the problems this caused. Mum was always clean, and warm and her room was very welcoming, the staff are very good, helpful, pleasant, friendly and always so their best. Moreland House is a very well-run home, they organise activities for the residents and gave Mum a lovely party when she was 100, lovely people.
The staff were always helpful and friendly. My husband seemed to settle at Moreland House better than elsewhere. It was a very upsetting and stressful time but in the last few months, felt more at ease knowing he was in such good care.
I am writing to congratulate Moreland House on the wonderful care that they gave my later mother. I am grateful for the help and kindness that they gave her during her time in the home, not only to her but also to me and my brother. Nursing care also was much appreciated. Thank you also to the cleaning staff that went that extra mile with their kindness and also the carers who were so thoughtful and caring. Thank you so very much.
Moreland House is a relatively new building, purposefully designed as a care/nursing home with wide corridors, accessible lifts, wide doors and handrails. My father has been there for six months. Originally he came as a respite client for two weeks. As his dementia became progressively worse the medics recommended that he should go into a nursing home full-time. I had no hesitation in placing him in Moreland House. He feels safe and secure, enjoys the food and occasionally joins in the activities.
My husband was accepted by Moreland House in March 2021. He has challenging needs. The staff continue to care for him with respect and dignity, even though I am aware it's not easy at times. I have been fully consulted and kept informed of all decisions about his care.
Mum moved to Moreland House in early January 2021 as the home where she was closed down. She was suffering from dementia, very frail and sadly passed away on 4th February 2021, 2 days after her 100th birthday. For the short time she was with them, the staff were so kind and understanding. They made her birthday so special and a wonderful memory to cherish. Thank you to everyone for making her last weeks so comfortable and being supportive during this difficult time.
This home has cared for our mum so well since taking her from another home in an emergency, but sadly, Mum passed away yesterday 6/2/21 in the early hours of the morning, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. I can speak on behalf of her family and say that the staff have been so very caring, considerate and attentive to Mum in her final hours, allowing her to pass with comfort, dignity and without any distress. We have been completely supported by the staff and we could not have wished for Mum to have been cared for any better at the end of her life. Thank you to all the staff at Moreland House. You do an amazing job and for the little time that you knew our mum, you showed you really cared about her wellbeing.
Very good.
The care home management is very poor. I'm not satisfied with the communication or any complaint. Does not take any action if any complaint is given. They do not give any regular check-up provided for the service user. Poor communication with family not taking any feedback into account. Not providing any emotional support to a service user.
My dad stayed in Moreland House care home since August 2019. The care he was given was excellent. All the staff at the home were very professional, caring and world-class. I am very grateful for the whole team support. Thank you.
We are always impressed with the standard of care our grandmother receives at Moreland care home. All the staff are very kind and considerate. Very happy with mum and the management team always caring throughout. The reception team are very welcoming as soon as we walk in. We always feel very lucky that our grandmother lives in such a lovely caring home.
Very good service throughout my stay.
In 2017 we were advised by my husband's rehabilitation centre that he needed 24/7 care and recommended that he was transferred to a nursing home. My daughter and I visited many many local nursing homes before we decided on Mooreland House. The building has the appearance of a hotel. On entering, it looked clean and smelt fresh. We were made very welcome and shown around. The room on offer was on the ground floor, comfortable, with a bathroom. The lounge looks out on to a pleasant garden. The staff were encouraging residents to go to the dining table so they ate together. After nearly three years of daily visiting, my impression hasn't changed. The staff are 'angels', they treat the residents with care and compassion, sometimes in difficult situations. We are always kept informed of my husband's health. He's regularly monitored by a doctor. Even in this time of lockdown, the management have arranged times when family and friends can Facetime so we can keep in touch.
Dad had excellent care from the staff. Nothing seemed too much trouble, despite him being quite demanding at times. The only thing he complained about was the food. When he passed away, we were treated with the utmost respect, and Dad with the utmost dignity. The staff couldn't have been better; such lovely people.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, also they have a lot of patience with their residents. The place is very clean, rooms are kept very clean and the food always looks good and varied. The support with activities is good, plus toenail cutting, and I feel it is a very safe and secure place. I feel my father is well looked after, always looks clean and well dressed and they have a good hairdressing service there.
