Cannot be happier with the care that my mum received at The Oaks for respite. I would 100% recommend this care home to anyone as they cannot do enough for you and ensure the best care for residents.

My 91-year-old mum has dementia and moved into the Oaks Care Home in May 2024. Since she has been there she seems more alert and constantly tells us that everyone there is so nice to her and the food is delicious. When we visit she is always clean and wearing fresh clothes. Mum interacts with the other residents and enjoys the entertainment provided, especially the singing and she even gets up to dance. Putting Mum into a care home was the most difficult decision our family has ever made but seeing her now we have no doubt that we made the right decision. I couldn't recommend this place any higher if you are looking for a care home for your loved one, just drop in and see for yourself how everyone is treated so well, I think the cheerful faces of the residents and the staff say it all. Special thanks to every member of staff for making Mum smile again.

My cousin has settled in and seems content. The staff are very friendly and caring. The building is well-maintained. We are happy with the care she is receiving.

Mum is cared for very well at The Oaks. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. There is often entertainment for the residents and a lovely garden for them to enjoy in the summer.

My brother has been in The Oaks care home for nearly six weeks. On arrival he was not looking after himself, his weight had dropped because he was not eating. The staff have been so kind to him and he is now looking so much better. He celebrated his 70th birthday and danced and sang all day with staff and residents.

Arrived from Australia to see my mum who has been a resident at The Oaks Residential Care Home since August 2023. Mum, who has dementia, was extremely happy to see me and kept saying how impressed she was with the staff and care provided. Mum looked so well compared to when I left her in September to go back home to Australia. The staff are all amazing. They are so approachable, friendly and really care for the residents. Every time I see Mum she is smiling, laughing and doesn't stop dancing when music is played which is quite often. Living in Australia used to be such a worry when Mum lived on her own. I no longer worry about her as I know 100% she is looked after more than I could ever imagine. The management staff keep in touch with me in Australia and let me know how Mum is each week, for that I am truly grateful. Very happy family.

Wonderful care home with genuine, caring staff. The home is clean, bright and vibrant with a great atmosphere. The staff seem to go above and beyond with the level of care. I would highly recommend this care home, they are just brilliant.

Hello to all readers and persons who may need to consider this option for a loved one. This place is a fabulous home that is so big it needs to be seen and the staff are so lovely and so dedicated and professional, in every aspect, whether you visit for 10 minutes or a few hours, they offer you tea, coffee, privacy. They are so aware of why your loved one is there and they have the experience, as a business, to cater for your fears and provide an excellent environment for the service they provide! They also have a sister property and our uncle was in there and was equally well catered for and loved it and we took our recommendation from that alone. We cannot fault it and our mum has been born again in many ways since being at The Oaks Residential Care Home. Keep doing what you do The Oaks and all the team there. Long may it continue. Bravo The Oaks!

Both my parents have lived at The Oaks for several years and during that time they have been well cared for and looked after. The staff are kind and treat my parents with respect. Before my mother went to live at the home she was very anxious and unhappy. Now she is relaxed and happy, thanks to The Oaks staff. My father is in a very poor state of health, but he is well looked after. I would recommend the home to others.

The staff and management at The Oaks are very understanding of my parents' needs and treat them with both kindness and respect. Mum enjoys taking part in all the activities offered. And both my parents love the visits from the therapy dog. The size of The Oaks and the fact that a lot of their staff there are now familiar faces to both my parents and us makes it more personal and homely. I would recommend The Oaks.

Awful place, smelly outdated decor, some of the staff are awful and seen first-hand how rude some are to the residents. It’s a sad place to have a loved one but ideal if you have zero feelings for them! I did not realise how bad this place was until my grandmother went into another home nearby. This is the worst home I have ever seen and I hated my loved one being here! Go and visit other homes, I beg you before you make a poor decision to send someone here.

My experience at being here has been wonderful. The carers have been so lovely, caring, kind, professional and always so helpful. The management has been outstanding and kind, the catering has been excellent, and the activities have been fabulous and varied, the cleaning staff are amazing, helpful and lovely, the home is very attractive and kept very clean and it has been a joy staying here.

I have found the entire staff very helpful and at all times looking to ensure that the residents' welfare is paramount. They also make sure that visitors are very well looked after. The entertainment for all is at a very high standard. I strongly recommend The Oaks to anyone. A very big thanks to all the team, they have all been specially selected for quality. May you all continue in your excellent work.

The Oaks team treated my father with care and dignity during his stay. They supported him and invested time in making his stay fulfilling and enjoyable. He particularly enjoyed the social events such as the Queen's Platinum Jubilee party and the summer BBQ. This is an outstanding home with staff providing individual care to each resident.
