My mum has been a resident at Oatlands Care Home for 9 years. From day one the management and staff have shown my mum and her family nothing but kindness and real compassion. We have always been kept informed of any changes regarding Mum. The staff are excellent in their care for her and she has always been treated with respect. We looked at many care homes before deciding on this one. Oatlands stood out from the rest by far. Whilst it is still a business they have to run, their main priority is always their resident's welfare and making their time at Oatlands a positive and enjoyable experience. We will always be grateful to them for their kindness.
We were promised daily activities but he attended very few (only one that I know of for definite). During the time he was there, he sustained several injuries, the causes of which were not identified. His condition deteriorated while he was there, so he could no longer walk unaided and rarely spoke. Now he is back home, he has improved somewhat. Most of the staff appeared to be pleasant and helpful but there were a couple who spoke roughly.
My stepdad has been at the care home for eight months. I cannot express my gratitude for the care he receives. He is so happy, and it has improved his life enormously. The love and care he receives are exceptional. The team that looks after him are amazing. 5-star treatment all the way. Thank you all.
Fantastic care and support given to my mum for a bit more than two years now. Very professional, reliable and friendly. I couldn't have found a better place for my mother's comfort. I'm very happy, so thank you very much indeed to all the carers, management and the rest of the staff who make it possible. 5-stars, without any hesitations.
As a family, we had never even considered placing my mum into a care home, and I can honestly say it was one of the most difficult decisions to make. Due to Covid restrictions, we were not able to visit Mum, but the staff were kind and compassionate and always there to reassure us that Mum was being cared for well. I would initially call daily and was never made to feel this was inconvenient. Prior to being able to visit, we were able to set up Skype calls with Mum, and this allowed us to see her and also witness the care provided. Now we can visit, the care taken to avoid cross-infection is commendable, and seeing first-hand the loving care Mum receives is heartwarming. The carers all work at a high standard, and their passion for their work is clear to see. The staff at Oatlands feel like one big family, and the dementia care they provide is outstanding. Many thanks to the amazing carers and lovely reception team for their continued hard work in these extremely difficult times.
The happy family-run care home. The wonderful, amazingly lovely and super-duper caring people. I didn't ever feel my mother's life was ever particularly in jeopardy ever. Super home, such wonderful kind caring loving staff.
My mum has been for a year, she absolutely loves it. The staff can’t do enough for her and look after her brilliantly. She is so happy being there. She enjoyed all the activities that they provide for them.
Completely unselfish care which my mum receives on a daily basis by an absolutely amazing and dedicated team is overwhelming. When I visit mum she is immaculately dressed, her nails painted and she looks so well cared for. The staff are so empathic when communicating with me, and they treat my darling mum as they would their own. If I am unable to look after her there is no other group of people I would 100% entrust with her. The enthusiasm, happiness and wonderful atmosphere there from the moment you step through the door and greeted by the fantastic reception team. I cannot recommend Oatlands highly enough.
My mother seems to be happy, sometimes she is happy, sometimes not so. She is kept clean and comfortable. I think maybe food intake should be monitored a bit more closely. Entertainment is good, mum enjoys the stimulation. I would like her to be encouraged to join in more.
My mother has been a resident for 5 years now. I am and have been happy with her care. Recently there seem to be different carers every time I come which makes it seem less friendly somehow and lacking in continuity. My mum is happy and well cared for, for which I am truly grateful.
