View Full Details of Parkview House Care HomeThis home is well-maintained, clean and smells fresh. The food is fresh daily, from a well-equipped kitchen. There is a 3-course menu which offers choices. The staff are welcoming, approachable and supportive. Management team spends time listening, directing and gathering information from families and other individuals to give a tailor-made service to the people they are caring for. Working with family is promoted, I feel I am working in partnership. I feel more staff are needed to give more one-to-one time.
I have found Parkview Care Home to be a very helpful and caring establishment. The staff and management are all very approachable, they always have time for their residents and their visitors. Excellent open-door policy.
My mother became a resident at Parkview in 2022. Since that time it was clear that she became a favourite of all the staff. She kept them entertained with her humour and wit, which was something that awful disease failed to take away from her. She passed on 3/11/23 and I know she will be sorely missed by everyone there. We are so grateful for the care she received whilst in there.
My nan came to Parkview in October aged 97. She is mobile and compos mentis, however, she was very lonely and isolated in her house on her own. Nan has flourished since she came here. She is able to get between her room and the dining/lounge/tea area on her own. Nan has regained much of the memory she was losing due to not eating as well as she needed and is enjoying joining in with the activities on offer. Nan now feels safe and enjoys her food and having people around her. The staff are extremely helpful and kind, that was my first impression of the home, that it was a kind and caring place to be. Nan has gained her independence, not lost it. Thank you.
I live abroad and over the years I've always popped into see ***** who I love very much and I always leave with a happy heart as I know she is always looked after. The staff are so friendly and informal and it always feels like someone's home rather than a nursing home. And it's very rare to leave a nursing home with a smile on your face. You guys are doing a great job and I'm putting my name on the waiting list for a room when I get to that point in my life. Keep up the good work and much appreciated.
The staff at Parkview go over and beyond to make sure residents are happy and well cared for. My dad has settled well and the carers have done all they can to make sure all his needs are met. My mum has always been made very welcome when visiting my dad and carers and office staff. Have always checked on her well-being. Generally, it is a lovely homely home. Thank you.
My mum has lived at Parkview House Care Home for nearly 7 years. She has received the best care in the world and all the care staff have been incredible. In the last few weeks, she has been receiving palliative care and me and my whole family have been amazed at the outstanding, high level of care. Our thanks and gratitude to the manager and staff.
I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome straight away. I had a lovely room overlooking a garden. Every day I was taken to the dining room for my meals as my mobility is very poor. They were so helpful in every way. They made sure I had all my medication and were always there if I needed them. So polite and helpful.
My relative as received excellent quality of care whilst living at Park View. The management and staff are friendly, approachable and professional. The food is very good and intake and outtake monitored carefully, which is important. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, with room to be personalised if a resident wishes to do so. Those that live here are encouraged to socialise or can stay in the privacy of their own rooms. My father-in-law has been well cared for during his stay ad has progressed significantly in a short time, due to staff diligence. I would highly recommend this home.
Just wanted to say what a difference the new management team have made at Parkview. The care and support they give is excellent, they have made such a difference to the atmosphere of Park View.
I spent one week at Parkview House in order to be with my wife over the Christmas period. The experience was excellent and certainly made me realise how much work the staff put in re: caring for residents. We had a fine Christmas lunch to together and during the week that I spent there I felt very welcomed by everyone - both staff and residents. I am hoping to repeat the experience and stay for a week at the time of my wife's Birthday.
Mum is very well looked after. The team treat all residents with dignity and respect. Care is gentle and I have seen a noticeable improvement in mum's health. It gives me great comfort to know mum is safe and has a good quality of life following her stroke.
Whenever I visit the home, I am always greeted with a warm, friendly smile. My friend is clearly well looked after, she can be difficult at times, but the staff always treat her with care, compassion and respect. More than we could wish for in this new chapter of her life.
I chose this home for a short respite stay for my grandfather after reading really good reviews online. The staff are very friendly and were so helpful when it came to making a booking and arranging my grandad's stay. I called every day for an update, and the staff were always very informative and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I'm very grateful for the great staff and service.
Parkview House seems to have been completely overwhelmed by Covid-19 and was totally out of its depth. The poor communication between the home and the named family member meant we were unaware of important changes and procedures put in place, both during and post Covid restrictions. Staff changes, Doctor changes and important end of life care procedures have been insensitively delivered. Inefficient and heartless management prevents any recommendation.
My family and I have been very impressed with Parkview. From the care given to our mother by all staff to the help and assistance given to us as family members was very helpful and comforting. This was a situation new to all of us and we had many questions and worries. Every member of staff we spoke to at the Home helped us along the way, and we are extremely happy with the care and attention our mother receives.
Great friendly staff, the resident I visited speaks really warmly about everything she is experiencing. My own visits have been well organised and easy and the staff have been friendly and gone above and beyond to help.
The carers are very friendly, during the pandemic they went the extra mile to message in texts and skype were able to see and speak to my beloved mum. The carers have become friends and since we lost our lovely mum they keep in touch via texts and check in with me with kind messages. I am very grateful to all staff at Parkview.
The staff at Parkview House have been excellent at finding ways to keep the families involved during the pandemic and ensuring that there are activities to entertain and occupy the residents. The environment is calm, safe and welcoming. I feel that my mum is in good hands.
Since my relative first entered Parkview House she has been treated with compassion and dignity. The care shown is very good, attending to her every need. As she is registered severely sight impaired, it makes it difficult for her to always join in with activities but the staff have always strived to include her. The staff are very approachable, kind and caring and keep us informed about what is happening at Parkview House. They have worked very hard to keep the residents safe through the Covid pandemic.
