View Full Details of Queen Elizabeth HouseMy Mum has been in Queen Elizabeth Care Home for around 7 months and she loves being there. She feels very settled and secure and frequently says she is the happiest she has been in years. I can visit virtually any time that suits me, I have always been made welcome and any concerns are discussed promptly with me. I can't speak highly enough of this care home, the staff are amazing, the care is second to none and we are so pleased we found it. We looked at 7 other homes before we chose this one and this care home is far and away the best we looked at. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Queen Elizabeth Care Home, I just wish we had found it years ago!
Great care home, my Grandad was very well looked after by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for him. The home was very clean, the food of a high standard and there are plenty of opportunities for the residents to socialise between meal times, at organised events or in the beautiful garden outside.
So good to my father-in-law. Every need catered for and staff so helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble at any time of day. Lots of activities were planned over the period he was there. Would recommend.
My father has been so well looked after at Queen Elizabeth House that his physical health has vastly improved. Every member of staff that I have interacted with has been kind, helpful, professional and genuinely interested in caring for their elderly residents. My father has enjoyed the daily chats and jokes with staff. I can't thank the staff enough for the care he has had while with them.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room provided was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The parking facilities were convenient making visits easy. Overall I was confident that my Grandad was being well looked after whilst staying here.
My mother has been a resident at Queen Elizabeth House for 3 months now, and I have been incredibly impressed with the care she receives, and the professional approach of the entire team. It was such a stressful thing making the decision to move Mum into residential care, but I feel that the staff made the experience so much easier, took care of us all, whilst providing amazing personal care for Mum. My mother has dementia which has significant challenges, but the greatest asset that the home has is the fantastic nursing and support team who know her now so well, and I feel all of her needs are taken care of. The level of communication is excellent, I feel I am kept fully informed of any changes in Mum's care, and am involved at all levels of decision-making. It feels like another home for us too. The recent summer barbecue being a case in point, I would highly recommend.
My mother has been a resident since March 2023 and I cannot recommend the care home enough. My mother is now more engaging, smiling, and generally just back to being herself from some very traumatic experiences in hospital prior to becoming a resident. All the staff are lovely, caring, and genuinely look out for each of the residents. There are plenty of activities going on to the point my mother preferred to stay in and enjoy another resident's birthday celebration rather than come out with us to lunch! The medical facilities are also excellent - we no longer have to worry about medication being taken or on time and my mother can't speak more highly of the doctor that serves all the residents in the home. It has a lovely atmosphere, we are always made welcome, and I enjoy visiting.
My mother has recently moved in the Queen Elizabeth House and we have so far found the home to be first-class. It is exceptionally clean, and meals are of a high standard. They offer a good range of activities and the staff are very attentive to the residents and provide a very professional level of service, they are encouraging, and supportive and enable residents to keep a level of independence, which is important. The gardens are beautifully kept and overall a very homely feeling at Queen Elizabeth House. We are thankful that our mother is a resident at this home.
The home continues to provide top-class care for my mother and where possible keeps her involved in all activities run by the home. We cannot fault the staff, they are always courteous, patient and helpful in all matters. I would highly recommend Queen Elizabeth House to anyone thinking of placing someone there.

My Dad has been resident in Queen Elizabeth House for over a year. It has been a difficult time for staff, residents and relatives due to COVID and lockdowns. Despite this, Dad has consistently been very positive about the staff and how they help and respond to him. He is more than able to express his needs and preferences and the staff always try to do what he wishes. Staff are very good about letting us know if there are any medical issues and get the GP involved. Dad is an independent character who has always worked for himself. So the fact that he is so happy at Queen Elizabeth House is a testament to the caring and person-centred approach of the staff and management.

My elderly friend has been a resident at Queen Elizabeth House for some years and decided to go into care as she has no family to look after her. From what I have seen when visiting her, the staff at Queen Elizabeth House are as good as family to her and she always seems content and well cared for.
I am extremely pleased with the exceptionally high standard of care received by my friend since she has gone to live at Queen Elizabeth House. All the staff are very kind and caring. Due to the current pandemic, I have been unable to travel up from Devon to visit my father, so not seen him for over a year. I have been kept up to date with all the goings-on in the home with regular updates and guidelines. The senior team telephone me if there has been a health issue and when the two jabs of the Covid 19 vaccines were administered. I have full confidence in how the home is run and the high level of care delivered to all residents. They have fully complied with the current guidelines, causing additional work on top of looking after all the residents, and answering the many questions from relatives and friends alike. I have built a rapport over the years with the team and banter goes back and forth. I highly recommend Queen Elizabeth House, it is small and friendly, so it alludes to a family atmosphere.
My uncle moved to Queen Elizabeth House during the pandemic and the staff have done an excellent job of keeping him safe and well and keeping relatives updated and in contact with residents, in line with all guidance. My uncle has flourished there and they have dealt with any challenges in a caring and compassionate manner. I can't thank them enough.
This is a very caring environment where our mother has received good care, meeting her frailty and dementia needs.
My father has mild dementia and has now been at this home for a year and I cannot speak highly enough about the individualised care that he receives. The staff turnover seems low so that both and my father and I have got to know the staff looking after him well. Earlier on the year, he stopped eating and drinking owing to an infection that he had and staff went to great lengths to consider how his needs could be met and he is now thriving. They understand and take pleasure in his love of music and do whatever they can to have live music for events. They always ring me if he asks them to or if there is a problem and they are very good at balancing his need for freedom to do what he wishes and the need to safeguard him.
