View Full Details of RyelandsThe care home have been so welcoming to my Mum and all her visitors. They pay a great deal of attention to their clients and their needs. All areas are very clean and well kept, whenever we visit everyone always looks happy, the staff are very open and always help with any questions. My Mum settled in very quickly and often comments on how lovely the staff are.
My mother has been a resident at Ryelands for nearly 2 years. She has been well cared for and I know she is in good hands. The staff at the moment seem to work together well and there is always a pleasant atmosphere when I arrive to visit my mother, a happy smile and some laughter go a long way! The outdoor space is lovely and my mother and I have enjoyed many 'get-togethers/events' in the sunshine.
My mother has blossomed since being a resident of Ryelands. She was not eating and not drinking, even though food and water was in front of her. At Ryelands they not only eat in view of others and with others, but there are always careers around to help and gently encourage eating or drinking. My mother was loosing all contacts with people, but at Ryelands she seems to have come out of herself and appears very happy.
All staff are polite, friendly and helpful and have a lot of patience and all are good. The Christmas party was good, a lot of people were there. It was good to see a lot of family, friends, and relatives of the residents attended. There was a lot of food and drinks. The central heating is a bit too hot. Could lower the temperature a bit, will feel better. Especially in the summertime heating should be turned off. Thanks.
We had to put my friend into Ryelands after she suffered numerous falls with her bad mobility and was suffering with Alzheimer's. Whilst she has only been there for about two months I have been very impressed with the facilities and cleanliness there. My friend has a lovely large room which is very homely with a lovely view of the gardens. The staff at the home are amazing and are so caring with the residents. They were very quick to close the home down when they had an outbreak of health issues. My friend cannot go out now due to her condition but they make sure she gets included in all the activities they provide. They put on a Christmas party for the residents which we could go to and which ended up with the carers getting residents to dance which was lovely. My friend's sister is in the same care home but in a different section as she also has Alzheimer's and they make sure they regularly get to see one another. I would recommend the home to anyone in this situation.
My mum has been at Rylands since 2018. She has been very happy there and she calls it her home. Staff are very friendly and very approachable when we visit Mum. Mum's 90th birthday was last February and we were allowed to use the conservatory for a small family gathering and mum was happy to see her family and friends. I couldn't have done it without the support from home management and the staff.
I feel the care of my relative, has been excellent, the staff are very attentive, kind caring supportive, and encouraging. The staff worked very hard to encourage my relative to become more mobile. All the staff are very friendly and it is a very happy home. I feel it provides the best care for my relative. The home is always clean and tidy. And the daily activities they offer are varied and they encourage residents to join in. It's a lovely home.
My Mother resided in Ryelands after a lengthy stay in Hospital. Most importantly my mother appears to be comfortable and safe when she is being looked after by wonderful staff. I can't thank you enough for the kind compassion and care you provided for my mother during this difficult time. Staff are always polite and welcome you on every visit which makes every visit less tiresome.
The staff at Ryelands have been so kind and caring to my father since he has been a resident. Dad was challenging in the last couple of months but they worked together with outside agencies to make sure he is now calm and comfortable. It was a very difficult time for us as a family to choose a home for Dad but we are so glad we chose Ryelands.
The instant you walk through the main entrance at Ryelands you are greeted with smiles and a hello. Ryelands in my opinion is as close to a home setting and family to our Mum. Ryelands and all its staff work extremely hard to provide care and understanding even spiritual support which helps my Mum who remembers her time as a younger woman in the Salvation Army's band. The home is spotless, warm, and wet equipped with a large dining area and lounge. My rating for Ryelands is 10 out of 10.
My wife is 88 and has vascular dementia. She has been at Ryelands for two years. I have visited her hundreds of times. Every member of staff I have come across has been kind, pleasant, and helpful. Our daughter and I are so pleased we found Ryelands. It is excellent in every way.
We're extremely happy with my mum's care at Brooklands. She is cared for with kindness and the staff are all wonderful. We have no complaints at all and would recommend Ryelands/Brooklands wholeheartedly.
My mother lived at Rylands and Brooklands since 2018. My mum died 28.8.2024. I have to say my mum was so well looked after in Brooklands in her end of life care. It gave me a lot of comfort to see the love and kindness shown to Mum and she died knowing she was loved. I would like to give special thanks to her carers for their kindness to Mum, they knew Mum from the beginning and that made them extra special. I would also like to thank the manager and assistant manageress who do a wonderful job of running the care home, especially in these tuff times, I found them easy to talk to regarding any issues I had, and these issues were dealt with to my satisfaction.
My husband and I visit on a regular basis, every 2 weeks. We are well received at the home. The staff are very polite and courteous. The home always seems well-run, clean, and organised. With plenty of activities. My sister-in-law although not always coherent because of her dementia is always well looked after and seems happy in her surroundings. She presents as clean and appropriately dressed at all times. We are very pleased that she has now found the right place to cater for her debilitating needs. Thank you to everyone involved in her care.
I was very impressed with Ryelands. The food especially was excellent. I sometimes could not finish it as it was more than I eat at home. The care I received by the helpers was very good. My eye drops were given except for one late evening but when explained it was remedied the following evening. My bed was very comfortable and I had an alarm button if I had needed attention. I was here for three days while my daughter was away and would willingly return if she is away again. Four items of laundry disappeared, all clearly marked but fortunately not important.
We needed respite care for Mum, Ryelands was the first name that came to mind. From the first day I visited and filled out the forms, the manager and deputy manager visited us promptly. My mother was cared for so well at Ryelands, the facilities, staff and rooms were excellent. They helped her with her mobility and exercises, she enjoyed joining in with activities. Food was excellent.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Ryelands for 8 years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has and continues to receive. The staff at Ryelands are kind and caring and are very attentive to my mother-in-law's needs. The diet they offer is varied and tasty and there is a varied and consistent activities schedule every week. My mother-in-law is happy here and that gives us all peace of mind.
Cleanliness, care and security are quite good. Would like to see more interaction between staff and residents. Boredom is the biggest problem.
Mum arrived in the middle of Covid which was a difficult time for everyone. After 3 years she is well looked after and content. The care offered is very good and all staff are kind. Her dementia has progressed but staff are able to manage her when she is anxious and when she is agitated and the physical care they offer is excellent. Activities are much improved after Covid and the music therapy sessions are enjoyable for all.
My mother has been at Ryelands for two years now and is well cared for. I have nothing but praise for the dedication of the care staff and management who do an excellent job and treat my mother with dignity and respect. The staff are always friendly and make myself welcome and my two sons. They really do an excellent job and we are immensely grateful as a family. Christmas was lovely and all the events put on. Thank you.
