View Full Details of DanecroftI cannot recommend Danecroft highly enough! The staff are amazing, so kind, generous and caring, and looked after Mum as though she was a member of their own family. I was able to call or visit at any time, and was always made welcome. Moving Mum to Danecroft was the best thing I ever did for her.
My dad moved into Danecroft at the start of the year, all the staff made Dad feel welcome as he was super nervous about moving into somewhere he didn't know anyone and the home was a lot bigger than his previous home. The staff have all been amazing at keeping me updated with any queries or issues, they have acted professionally. The home is absolutely amazing, they employ activity staff so the residents keep their minds active, they have fitness people come in, and music which my dad absolutely loves. I wish we choose this home from the beginning as he said he absolutely loves living at Danecroft. Thank you so much for caring for Dad so far, and fingers crossed for years to come. Keep up the great work.
My mother was moved here as her other care home closed down. The care and quality of care she is receiving here is above and beyond what she is used to, everyone here cares and treats her like a person, not a commodity. She is so much happier and content in herself, she is smiling and is just a happy person now, it is heartwarming to see, she has made friends which is nice, thank you.
All I wish for my mum is to be welcomed, loved and cared for in the way of a family home and this is just what my mum receives, every day and in particular, when she has been poorly, the knowledge, professionalism and dedication to her wellbeing, has been incredible. Thank you, Danecroft.
My mother in law has been at Danecroft for the past 10 years following a diagnosis of dementia. She has been cared for so well but even more importantly, she has been loved by the staff. Yesterday she left the home to move to the Isle of Wight as she has always wanted to return to living by the sea. The right decision but so sad to leave all the wonderful people at Danecroft. A huge thanks again to you all.
Mum has been at Danecroft for several years now. Having to move her into a home was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and came with a great deal of guilt. From the moment she went to Danecroft, however, it was clear the staff treated the residents as they would wish for their own family. As Mum's Alzheimer's has progressed, she has been less able to engage, but it is incredibly reassuring for me to know that she is receiving all the care she needs. With changes in her condition, her care plan is continuously reviewed and amended. Whilst Mum is no longer able to participate in the activities that are organised within the home, I have witnessed first-hand the great range of pastimes that are put on for those residents who are able to play a part in them. The staff really do go above and beyond.
Mum had been using Danecroft for respite over the past couple of years and she absolutely loved it. It gave myself and my father great comfort knowing she was really well taken care of whilst on ‘her holidays’ for a few weeks at a time. The staff were really friendly and really looked after my mum. Mum suffered from mixed dementia and had been diagnosed 6 years prior to her starting respite at Danecroft.
This letter is written with sincere thanks to all the staff and carers who made my Mum's 90th birthday so special. Entertainment was on that day a singer/pianist and the staff ensured my Mum joined in with the sing-a-long, and it really made the family part of the occasion. My Mum came to Danecroft end of June due to sudden changes with her care at home. This was a big change not only for my Mum but the family too, but I can honestly say the care and attention she receives is comforting and reassuring. The staff are very caring and attentive. Danecroft is like "home from home". Leaving my Mum at the end of my visit is made easier knowing she is in the care of such great staff.
My Father-in-law entered the care home as a self-funding resident due to rapid deterioration of health. It became apparent that his cancer was already secondary and it spread rapidly. Effectively the care home became a hospice placement and he died about three weeks later. The level of care and support for him, his wife (who was also in the home) and family was outstanding. The compassion and support throughout this difficult period was second to none. Thankyou.
My Father was a resident at Danecroft for 18 months. All the staff were very friendly helpfull and above all extremely caring. During his last few weeks when he was unable to do anything for himself the staff were so attentive and compassionate and treated him as if he was one of their own family. I can highly recommend this care home and am so pleased this is the one we chose for my Dad.
I am always greeted and made to feel welcome, my aunt is looked after very well and she always look clean and tidy. I think the bedrooms and bathrooms need to be cleaned more often. The food is good. my aunt is very fussy and they do their best to make her what she likes to eat.
As far as I am aware my cousin is very well looked after. The food is very good and always looks lovely. We can visit any time we like and are always most welcome. Any small problems we are notified by telephone calls. The staff are great and nothing is too much bother.
