I have had a great time here, especially during the day.
Staff are very helpful. Always smile. Treat us like family. I am very happy.
The staff are very good. They are looking after me very well.
One of the things I appreciate is the continuity of staff. It is so important that elderly, vulnerable people see familiar faces on a daily basis. The staff at Knoll Houe are very attentive and give focused one-on-one care.
Knoll House have been caring for my dad since November 2020. I have always found the staff and carers to be extremely helpful and caring, both towards my dad as a resident and myself as his family. The facilities are good and all residents seem happy and content. The carers are all really attentive towards my dad and I am confident that he is well cared for. The management are also really helpful and always available to discuss any matters relative to my dad.
Staff are very kind, always help and smile.
My husband appears content staying at Knoll House (has advanced Alzheimer's). I am happy with the care he receives here. The carers treat him with respect and kindness and see to all his personal needs. He always looks clean and well dressed. Am kept up to date with his medication needs and always informed if there are any problems. I feel very welcome when I care to visit him, as do the rest of the family.
We placed my partner in Knoll House as it was so convenient to visit. He has settled in very well. He has a very nice room overlooking the garden.
My care needs are met. Staff are lovely, pleasant and happy.
My mother is currently cared for by Knoll House having been ejected from two previous care homes who could not meet her challenging needs (complex dementia). The staff at Knoll House have shown nothing but love, care and compassion towards my mum. The staff got to know my mum quickly and they respond to her sometimes challenging needs with expertise. They respond to any differences in her behaviour quickly, always looking for any potential underlying cause for this change (e.g. environmental or health) and respond accordingly, instead of just putting it down to her 'having dementia'. Although it has been difficult not visiting Mum during the Pandemic I cannot praise enough the tenacity of the Home Manager to ensure that they have not been bullied into practices (by other agencies) that would otherwise put my Mum and other residents in danger. Something for which the manager and staff should receive praise and recognition. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.
I began searching for care homes about 6 months prior to my father going into residential care. I went with a friend who had been a palliative carer, of all the homes we saw Knoll House best suited my dad's immediate and long term care needs. Dad had Alzheimer's and I had found it quite difficult to find a home that could take him and keep him safe. It is a small care home and I knew my once shy Dad wouldn't get lost amongst other residents. I cannot praise highly all the highly experienced staff who attended to Dad. They really did treat him as one of their own. Even laughing at his awful jokes! They were used to his little ways and embraced them. Due to COVID restrictions, it was the Knoll staff who were with him at the very end of his life. My brother and I were greatly comforted by the fact that we knew he was being cared for by staff who really cared for him and his comfort and dignity.
A lovely place for my mother to live out her final years. She is well taken care of and I can't thank them enough.
A fantastic care home, run professionally and efficiently with a wonderful team of carers who support, care and look after my mum with the utmost care and respect. I cannot praise Knoll House enough, a homely, clean and well-organised home with fantastic, home cooked food. Always clean and tidy and the garden has recently been renovated and is a beautiful place to be able to sit in the sun. A *!!
We were concerned when our friend had to move from her care home as it was closing. However, when we arrived at Knoll House to meet her on the day of moving in, we were soon reassured. There was a great family atmosphere and all the staff we met were friendly and supportive of the residents and also made time to talk with us. Our friend was welcomed in like one of the family and had settled very well. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and their patient and caring attitude is fully appreciated by all living at Knoll House.
My dad moved into Knoll House in January 2016. He has advanced stages of dementia and it can be very challenging at times, the staff have been very kind, caring, patient and understanding towards my dad and the family. We visit every single day and each day is different. The staff are always on hand to help or just listen. They do the best they can. The rooms are nice it's just a shame no en-suites, lovely country quiet position overlooking fields. It's a nice small homely feel care home. I would really recommend this home.
