This was our first experience of respite care for our mother. Tudor House was very considerate to her needs. Carers were all very friendly and Mum was very appreciative of the care they gave her and her needs, made her feel very welcome. She enjoyed her meals (she wasn't eating well before because of being poorly). Her legs improved and sores disappeared. Ideal place to have in mind going forward and a good experience and happy for all.
Tudor House Care Home is a lovely home, very clean and tidy. The staff are all very happy, caring and have a caring attitude towards the residents. Many thanks to the manager who was on the ball with everything and always kept in touch while I was there. Many thanks again. Regards.
My mum was in Tudor House for a short period of 6 months, the staff were caring and looked after my mum well until she had to have continuing healthcare which then the home staff were not involved in her care, the one-to-one care she received was excellent. However when my mum passed away as a family we were disappointed that no staff members came to her funeral, no card was sent to offer their sympathy and we were told that some paperwork regarding continuing healthcare would be helped to fill out, which it never has been. When we went to collect her belongings 2 days after she had passed, there was a drinking glass/a jug in the room, iron had been placed in the room, tissues on the side, and no general cleaning or tidying had been done which was disappointing and upsetting at that time.
I always find everyone so helpful and kind in such a demanding job. Very well done to all concerned.
Wonderful place, clean, well-led, caring staff, and good food.
I am always greeted with a smiley face from the staff, who come around and check if all is ok. They are always friendly and helpful. My wife is always dressed appropriately and looks comfortable and chats well when she is awake. Always a very nice smell from the kitchen. It certainly leaves me with peace of mind when I leave.
Very caring staff, they are friendly and they know the residents so well. Very supportive and understanding of what we are going through as relatives. They care and are attentive and work hard for very long hours. The staff do all they can to make the residents feel safe and looked after and are kind. It has a very homely feel.
My mother was a resident at Tudor House for the last five and a half years of her life. She was extremely happy. I cannot fault the care which she received during her time there. I was kept fully informed of her health condition and consulted at all stages. The record-keeping is exemplary. I was talked through it and my questions were answered in full. All Staff are very caring and friendly. They make a good team together and are well lead. The range of activities offered is very good and the food is excellent. Before Covid-19, all her family and friends were able to see her, without an appointment, and were made very welcome by residents and Staff alike. Mum was on end-of-life care for the last few weeks and I was allowed to don protective clothing and to see her right up to the end. I cannot speak highly enough of Tudor House and would recommend it unconditionally.
We have been very happy with the way "Mum" is treated. The cares are very kind and considerate in the way they treat all the residents. There are many and varied activities taking place and also regular spots when the residents are taken to activities that are relevant for them. We have found the staff very friendly and approachable. We feel "Mum" is happy here as she could be. The whole ambience of the home is caring and warm.
Incredibly caring residential home - Staff, without fail, always respond to mum and her needs. The home welcomes the family and keeps us informed as much as practical. The house itself is not the most modern but what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for on staff, the quality of food and the other nice touches. Such as the option for the family to personalise their room, join them for events and the number of weekly varied activities available for the residents. The most outstanding quality remains as however the exceptional standard of all-round care (not just the basics).
My partner has been here for nearly two and a half years and is as happy as one can be when they no longer live in the house they have occupied for over 30 years.
I have recently put my 94 year old uncle in the above care home against his wishes, however, he has settled in very well. I have been made very welcome and can call any time. He is now happy, settled and looks forward to the many outings that they arrange. The food is good and the place is very clean. Yesterday he was taken to Dunstable pancake race which he thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are very kind to him and helpful. I and my husband feel relieved that he is happy and safe.
I have lived at the above home for seven years and have been very glad to do so. Every time I receive a form to fill in with the below ratings, I have always ticked each favourably because that is the way that I really felt. On the medical side, staff are efficient too in getting a doctor or practise nurse to see me, and in some circumstances, an ambulance to take me for CT scans, and in one case for a major operation which was a success.
Respite care from July to December 2017 as my home was being renovated after I had broken my femur. Thanks to the care I received. I am now healthy. The care is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. My stay has been an enjoyable experience. A true family home!
All staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. They support grandad to go out into the community 2-3 times each week. Very supportive with his eating habits (can be very picky) they accommodate to his tastes and needs. Very good with his personal care and getting him to have a bath or shower each week and wash each day. It is a great care home, it's home from home to grandad and his visitors.
On behalf of our family here in Ireland, I would like to thank ye for the wonderful care ye have given our uncle who sadly passed away today. He will be greatly missed by all of us as he was the last uncle of the family. May God bless ye.
Our father has been at Tudor House for over 7 months. We have been extremely impressed with how approachable and caring the staff are. There is a very homely atmosphere. It is great to hear of all the activities that are provided which adds so much interest for all of the residents. Every opportunity is taken to involve them as much as possible, for example, by taking a resident out in a wheelchair when going into town. We thoroughly recommend Tudor House.
In my opinion Tudor House is quite excellent. On the almost six years I have been at the home it has never wavered from the high standard of care in all areas provided. I love being a resident here.
The care home is very comfortable, clean and homely. The staff are very professional and friendly whilst looking after the clients needs. They motivate their clients to adjust to their change in life.
Mum has settled into the home very well. She is comfortable and eating and drinking well. The home itself is quite small but cosy and homely. The care staff are kind and friendly as well as respectful to all the residents and their visitors.
