View Full Details of Little Bramingham FarmMy mum loves visiting and is always so happy afterwards, she really looks forward to her sessions and thoroughly enjoys herself. The staff are extremely friendly and caring. Thank you so very much for all you do.
A fantastic care home. The ethos of Friends of The Elderly Charity that runs Little Bramingham Farm shines through. Not-for-profit but for care, for the residents, for the relatives, and for the staff. My mother, a resident since December 2021 smiled a lot there and as a family, we always knew my mother was safe, content, and loved. The food is excellent, links with the community are phenomenal, activities are balanced and it is a fun and joyful place to visit. My mother passed away recently at Little Braminham Farm, I was with her and I am so grateful that as a former manager herself of a care home for Hertfordshire County Council for over twenty years we were able to find somewhere as lovely as Little Bramingham Farm for her.
My Mum has been resident here for 3 years until passing away. The care provided to the whole family has been exceptional. The staff are kind and very caring. The home is comfortable with a range of activities and beautiful grounds. Having confidence in the care provided has allowed me to be able to visit grandchildren abroad with peace of mind. The home is well-led. Comments from other agencies such as district nurses have always been very positive. At what can be a very difficult time for elderly people who can no longer live in their own homes, I think most would be very happy at Little Bramingham Farm.
When our mother's health declined rapidly. Staff at the home notified us immediately. My brother and I were able to stay in our mother's room constantly until she died in our arms. We cannot thank all the staff for enabling a peaceful, dignified end to her life. Everyone looked after us - feeding us, ensuring we could freshen up, and most importantly giving us all the support, love and care we needed. Mum didn't want to go to hospital - and the home ensured that her wish was granted. Mum was so happy at Little Bramingham Farm; you guys are the best! Thank you, everyone.
Since our mother has been residing at Little Bramingham Farm, we (3 daughters), have had peace of mind. Our mum seems to be a lot more settled in life. The care that she receives appears to be of a good standard. The place is light and airy and exudes a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
We as a family had to make some difficult decisions for Mum's care. We looked at a few care homes in the area and when we found Little Bramingham Farm we knew straight away that Mum would be happy here. They offer respite care and we thought we try this for a while to see if Mum liked it. We know that Mum would have preferred to stay at home but this was not possible for her. Mum settled in well. The staff are very caring and thoughtful so we felt at ease to make Mum's place there permanent. They helped Mum settle in and supported our family. We knew we had made the right decision as she seemed very happy and had made some friends. Mum's room was lovely and had all that she needed to feel at home. We have been very happy with Mum's care and there are always activities going on to keep the residents happy and cared for. Mum has passed away recently and all the staff and carers were lovely and supported us through this sad time. We are really pleased we chose Little Bramingham Farm for Mum.
Little Bramingham is always a welcoming location providing a great range of activities/events for the residents, the home provides a caring environment. Thoroughly recommend Little Bramingham. My mother is very well looked after, and for sure if I end up in an old people home I would be happy to be in Little Bramingham.
Not having been in a care home before, I was quite nervous; however, after the first day, I settled in very well. I felt safe and secure 24/7. The staff were wonderful, so caring and patient, right from the kitchen staff, cleaners, pharmacists and management. They checked on me during the night. Whatever I required, the carers were there for me. The room I had was small but was used for respite only. The cleanliness was first class, and that also included having my laundry washed and dried. The entertainment was very good. I would definitely recommend this care home. Its efficiency is the first call, and I'm considering going again and maybe becoming a full-time resident.
We had taken the difficult decision to place Mum in full-time care, as it was not safe for her to be alone at home anymore. After visiting Little Bramingham Farm with Mum to have a look around, we were offered respite care within a few days. We extended the respite care while Mum was getting used to the major change in her life and then made the decision to make her stay permanent. All of the staff are excellent and get to know the residents and their needs so quickly. Mum is enjoying the activities, especially the visit from a famous fictional bear and the toddlers too. We could not ask for better care. Thank you all at Little Bramingham Farm.
Our mum was a resident at Little Bramingham Farm for the last 18 months. Sadly Mum passed away on the 17th December 2023. The 18-month-old Mum was there she was very happy and loved the small family feel to Little Bramingham Farm unlike big care homes. The daily activities are always fun from the singers they have to the exercises. From the management to the carers to the cleaners to the kitchen staff the care and love they gave our mum was outstanding, I can't fault it. The care and dignity and respect all the staff gave my mum in her final days was superb and they always came in and said goodnight to her at the end of their shift, you could tell there was true affection there for our mum, it was very emotional at times. I would recommend Little Bramingham Farm to anyone who is thinking of a care home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff at Little Bramingham Farm.
We have found the care home to be warm, clean and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere by all staff. Our relative has always been treated with respect and kindness under difficult circumstances, at times. There is a variety of activities offered and encouraged most days, with visiting singers helping to create a happy atmosphere, with mid-morning and afternoon drinks and snacks offered. It has a very homely appeal and seems bright and cheerful with comfortable furniture. The carers are very kind and patient.
As she neared 100 my mother-in-law decided she wanted to be looked after. She tried 3 care homes in a 30-mile radius of her own home and Little Bramingham Fram was the winner. It's a delightful-looking building and in 2020 she moved in. A bad start for any care home as the pandemic started. She had her 100th birthday with no visitors but Little Bramingham Farm did their best and we could talk via video call. Now it is different and she settled into her own routine in a nice bright room. The food is very good and there are plenty of activities, even sitting down exercises. A singer often visits. The staff are very professional and caring. Yes, she is well and truly cared for at Little Bramingham Farm.
This care home offers the best of care. The staff are friendly and welcoming and treat the residents with respect and dignity. The food is lovely with lots of variety and my mum particularly enjoys their homemade cakes and biscuits with her tea. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, including the great management and I would highly recommend this home for any of your loved ones.
The staff are always welcoming and kind to residents and visitors. It is a lovely home and made very homely. Well furnished and decorated with lovely grounds. My family member has been there for a number of years and is settled and appears happy. They do lots of activities and have singers in regularly to entertain the residents.
Very happy with the care and support Mum gets from all the staff. We are kept well informed of activities, problems, etc. The home itself is well maintained. I judge a care home by its smell. This one smells lovely. Well done everyone.
The staff and care at Little Bramingham care home are excellent; they look after my mum, who has been a resident for the last 18 months, with as much care and love as you can possibly wish for. I couldn’t wish for a more caring home for any relative unable to look after themselves.
My husband was well cared for and happy as this was the first time the care provider was needed quickly for a short term (2 weeks) support.
I had to make the very difficult decision to place my wonderful 83-year-old mum, who has heart issues and mixed dementia in respite care. I spoke with a number of homes before finally meeting the manager at Little Bramingham Farm. From the outset, every interaction with any of the team filled me with confidence and hope that I was doing the right thing. We were lucky enough to put Mum into the respite room for just under 2-weeks, allowing me and my husband, as her main carer to have a break. During the stay, we were able to talk to Mum at any time through the portal, and she always looked well, happy and had just finished an activity or was about to start one! Mum said that the care was wonderful, and the team were all so kind to her. From our perspective, the home is immaculate, the rooms very inviting, and the care and support given to Mum outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who needs to put a relative into respite or permanent care - an absolute gem.
The way all the staff look after the residents is outstanding and can recommend this home for anyone who has a relative who needs care. Our mother is happy and very settled here and says all the staff are very caring and kind.
My mother has been a resident for just over five years during that time I have been able to see her during covid sitting outside her window whilst on the phone or as restrictions eased I'm now able to see her in her room. There have always been strict rules regarding testing and I feel my mother was always safe and cared for. The staff are always very helpful and cheerful, the home is always immaculately clean. There is always a great menu on offer and activities during the day.
My mum loves visiting and is always so happy afterwards, she really looks forward to her sessions and thoroughly enjoys herself. The staff are extremely friendly and caring. Thank you so very much for all you do.
