View Full Details of Rowles HouseMy partner has settled in very well. The staff are really good. Really makes you welcome, very helpful. Redoing up bedrooms and other rooms. Lovely gardens in summer to sit out in.
As near to home as possible.
I visit my wife every day and the staff are the most caring people I have ever met, the home is clean and very friendly, the food is excellent, I couldn't wish my wife to be in a better place. The home has a very good atmosphere at all times, the staff are caring people who care for people.
I visit my uncle at Rowles House mainly on Wednesdays. I find the management responsive and approachable. The care staff are generally sociable and polite even with the most difficult residents and always with visitors. The care home arranges activities that families and friends can attend (it's a pity I live an hour away). The care home has been refreshed recently and new security installed.
My husband has been in this care home for approximately two and a half years. He is treated respectfully and with cheeriness and care. He seems very content and is well looked after. The staff are excellent, caring and as kind to visitors as they are to residents. They go above and beyond when it comes to organising trips and entertainment for the residents. They also provide activities on a daily basis which serves to stimulate and encourage the residents. That gives relatives much solace. The manager also keeps relatives well informed.
The relatively small size of the home means that the carers know all of the residents. The residents in turn are familiar with the staff who remain calm and supportive. Visitors are always made welcome. The management team is approachable and accessible.
My mum has been in this care home for approximately a month. Mum is 87 and suffers from dementia. Before arriving at Rowles House Mum had recently spent time in hospital, she fell 3 times in the August month, fracturing her right hip. She had to undergo a hip operation, stayed in the hospital for a while and then arrived in Rowles House at the end of September. I am very close to Mum and found it hard to adjust without her with me. The Rowles House Manager and staff greeted Mum with great care and have looked after her well. She is now up and walking with a zimmer frame stronger than ever, she is socialising and has the most wonderful support from all the staff here. My first visits here were very emotional as Mum can no longer look after herself and gets confused with her dementia. I cannot fault the carers for their ongoing help and support with Mum's dementia and my own emotions upon visits. She is now a lot more settled and I feel rest assured that she is undoubtedly being well cared for.
Mum spent nearly three years at Rowles House. She was treated with love and care by the staff. Due to COVID we were unable to be with her at the end but staff kept us informed and made sure a staff member stayed with her. Thank you again for making the family happy that Mum was contented in your care and thought of the staff as her extended family.
I was lucky enough to visit on the day of the residents Christmas party. All staff including the manager made a huge effort to provide Christmas cheer and support Santa who paid a visit and gave a present to everyone. Plenty of food and non-alcoholic drink (served as if it was alcohol) was enjoyed by all.
Rowles House is a lovely home with lovely staff. Good food and good activities. My grandma has been there for almost 7 years, they are still celebrating success with another great CQC report.
My mother has been a resident for 5 and a half years and has received excellent care throughout her stay. Recent changes have been very positive and resulted in a pleasant and relaxed environment.
I have noticed a big improvement in my Dad since he has been there. The staff are very helpful and friendly and he seems much happier in himself.
Dad has been here only a short while but has settled in nicely. He is joining in activities and is very happy, he is a different man altogether and that is due to the dedication of management and staff.
Mum has been a resident at Rowles House for 6 years. She has always been content and well looked after. We chose Rowles because it was a smaller home and had a 'home from home' feel about it. The staff have always shown love and care to mum and beer helpful and courteous to us as a family. Recent management changes have seen big improvements.
My brother was in several homes before coming to Rowles House and he has settled in well. It is a small home and has a very 'homely' atmosphere. The staff are excellent and this is what makes Rowles House so special - carers who really do care. The rooms are kept clean, though only a few are en-suite. The food is wholesome, plentiful and freshly cooked. My brother always looks well cared for.
Mum was at Rowles House for just over 3 years. The love, care and compassion shown to mum was amazing, especially as her life was drawing to a close. The staff were absolutely brilliant, going above and beyond the call of duty.
Rowles House offers a homely environment. I feel my wife is well cared for and staff show genuine affection for the residents. I feel that both myself and other carers are included and well informed about our loved ones and the running of the home. Following a change in management and a review of the staffing and responsibilities, I feel that improvements have been made and there are plenty of activities led by an enthusiastic co-ordinator who clearly wants the best for everyone - family and friends are included too. Overall, there is some room for improvement which the management acknowledge and are making the necessary changes to facilitate this.
I found that all the areas of care and attention my mother needs have been met. If I asked for anything that my mother, or myself, needed, assistance was almost immediate.
I have found the care of my mother in law to be extremely good. She has been treated very well in the two months she has been here.
