View Full Details of NormanhurstVery warm and welcoming, friendly care home. Nothing is too much trouble and everybody is kind and caring. The minute I viewed this home, I knew this is the home for my dad. He has settled here and is very happy. Always plenty of food and plenty of choices. You never go hungry, a big thank you for looking after Dad, he could have never managed at home. Would always recommend Normanhurst.
Since our father has been residing with you during the last few months we are all happy with the care and support given. He has settled in well and is content. The staff are pleasant and attentive. As my father is a social person, he is happy with their interaction. Thanks.
After being discharged from a long hospital stay, my father was reluctant to move into a care home and wanted to stay in his own home. He was given a month's placement at the care home whilst his needs were assessed. Dad was then offered a long-term placement. His room is homely and comfortable. He has settled in well and is happy there, he likes his room and enjoys chatting with staff. I am so relieved that he is now being cared for in a safe and secure environment. Staff are very kind and supportive and I am kept informed of any developments. Thank you for looking after my dad.
Thank you so much for looking after my Mother-in-law whilst I was on holiday. Her first time ever in a home and she was extremely anxious but everyone, including the handyman, was so welcoming. She was a little overwhelmed but settled into the routines and slept like a baby! The App which you can access to see what they have been eating, drinking and doing is fab and really put my mind at rest. Thank you all very much and for your patience with me!
Fantastic home, warm and welcoming. Kind and friendly staff willing to help at every turn. Nothing was too much for the team, mother was in safe, caring hands. Attention to care was fantastic. Thank you so much.
My mum was in need of care, love and attention to help with her dementia and this is exactly what she got. Everyone was so helpful, accommodating and supportive. Normanhurst really feels like a home. I live overseas and this wasn't an obstacle to communication at all, in fact, the complete opposite - some of the staff went above and beyond. I am so very grateful. Thank you!
My mother has been at Normanhurst for 3 years and I couldn't recommend the home enough. The staff are amazing, very caring and respectful of the residents' needs. My mum is the happiest she's been for years.
Had excellent care for my mother who was cared by the home up until her death. She was treated with total respect. Her family was happy that she was in the best place at Nomanhurst residential home. The staff where excellent.
Mum has been in care home for 3 years, she has always been very well cared for. The staff are always very friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable with regards to her needs. We are very happy with her care.
My mum has been at Normanhurst since the beginning of the year and the care she has received from the manager and her team has been outstanding. They have been professional, knowledgeable and most importantly caring. I cannot recommend this care home and its dedicated staff highly enough. Thank you all for taking such good care of our mum.
My mother was resident at Normanhurst for just over 3 years. She suffered from Alzheimer's and was very well looked after by the caring staff. She was always nicely dressed and attention was given to her hair, nails etc. She used to enjoy the activities and local outings which were organised and also helped in the garden when able. I was very satisfied with her care.
All staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A very caring and happy environment. When visiting my father I was made very welcome, and I was confident that he was being well looked after.
My mum was a resident at Normanhurst for a year. This is an outstanding residential home. The level of care my mum received, at all levels, was second to none. The manager and her team run a lovely, friendly home with a lovely family and personalised feel. There are lots of activities, parties, barbecues and outings for those who are able. When my mum became unwell and had to be admitted to hospital, the manager visited her and helped with feeding and drinking. When she returned back to Normanhurst, it was apparent she was at the end of life. The staff could not have done anymore in terms of their kindness, respect and dignity shown towards her, and to myself and my family, in the last weeks and days of her life. My mum had a very happy time at Normanhurst and I will be forever grateful and reassured that in her final year she was so well cared for. I work as a GP, but have no affiliation or professional association with Normanhurst. I would recommend Normanhurst without reservation.
My mother has now been at Normanhurst for several years and is extremely happy and settled there. The staff are wonderfully supportive and caring with her and keep me very well informed of all medical issues. There are various organised activities throughout the week and a hairdresser visits on a weekly basis. The meals are prepared and cooked to a very high standard. On the strength of mums experience, my aunt has recently joined her too. I would unreservedly recommend Normanhurst to anyone looking for a care home.
My mother, who suffers from dementia, has been a resident of Normanhurst for just over two years and during that time, I have always been impressed with the level care she receives. Apart from suffering from dementia, my mother has other age-related illnesses and I do feel that her health has improved since she has been at Normanhurst. The staff are extremely caring and friendly and I am always kept informed of my mother's welfare. As a relative, I am free to see my mother at any time of the day and I am always made to feel very welcome when I am there. The meals are cooked fresh every day and plenty of drinks are always available for the residents. Thank you to all the staff at Normanhurst for looking after my mother so well. I really do not know what I would do without you!
Normanhurst has given my aunt comfort, security and company. It is a relief for her family to know she is being well cared for now that she can no longer care for herself.
I am more than happy with the care my mother is receiving at Normanhurst. She is always clean and happy. There is always some form of entertainment for the residents whether it is as a group or individually.
Mum is always kept clean, her room is spotless. The staff seem to know how to handle mum, she has severe Alzheimer’s and can be difficult at times. They are always very friendly and we are kept informed of any changes in mum’s care.
My mum, who was a dementia patient, was really "cared" for by the owner and her wonderful team at Normanhurst for some 9 years. We were able to visit her at any reasonable time, without notice, and have no hesitation in offering our fullest recommendation. I will always be immensely grateful.
Every time I come to see my mum there is always a warm welcome. When I ask about how she has been getting on the management and staff can always tell me. If there is a problem then I am kept informed which reassures me that she is always well looked after. When I am with my mum in her room there are always staff making sure she is okay. Seeing the same staff on a regular basis gives continuity and consistency to my mums routine.
