View Full Details of Bradbury HouseI have just spent one month in respite care in Bradbury House. What a place and above all, what a culture of friendliness and caring. Yes, the facilities are excellent, but it is the staff which makes the place. Day or night, they are always there with a smile to cater to your every need. Frankly, given the pressure a carer is under in a home like this, you would expect someone to have a 'bad hair' day sometime and be a bit grumpy when they come to your assistance. Not once, in the month. That's very impressive. It is a team which has been together for some time, I gather. It shows. From day one, as I walked around the place, everyone knew my name as they said good morning to me. On the surface, a small thing, but entirely consistent with the overall ambience of care.
Bradbury House has provided a wonderful home for my mother for the past 3 years. She is very happy and settled, the carers are wonderfully kind and supportive - many of them have been there over 10 years which is amazing. In the first year or two, she was a very active participant in all the activities and trips - couldn't have asked for more stimulation! As she has become more frail, the support is just as good and I always know the staff will alert me immediately if there any concerns on her health. As a family, we couldn't be more delighted with their care and environment.
My mother has been a resident at Bradbury House for six years and during that time, she has been cared for very well. The staff all know their residents and have been together as a team for many years and their commitment shines through.
Bradbury House is a delight. Very clean and well maintained. Happy staff - important. Beautiful gardens and grounds. Friendly, inviting and bright. On site activity centre with many outings and activities arranged. On site petting dog and fish in pond. Delightful setting in Old Beaconsfield.
I am writing this, sadly, following the death of my mother who was a resident at Bradbury House for over three years. My family and I feel very lucky to have found a place where Mum was happy to spend her final years. All the staff and volunteers at Bradbury House did their jobs with care, compassion, skill and genuine kindness and empathy. Mum's last few weeks exemplified this perfectly. The team worked hard and with huge understanding and goodwill to make Mum comfortable and peaceful. They also supported us as a family well; nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend Bradbury House highly enough. It is a real community and a home where there is great teamwork and much love. Thank you to everyone who works for and with such a wonderful team.
The care my mother received at Bradbury House was exemplary. The staff were kind and considerate and the food seemed great. The home even has forums for the residents to discuss their food favourites and what they would like added to or removed from the menus. The Activity Centre provides entertainment, company and is a wonderful, homely place to be during the day. The gardens are lovely and well cared for. Residents are free to go where they please and have complete control over their lives if capable to do so. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bradbury House to anyone - indeed I have already done so.
