View Full Details of Woodlands Park Care CentreWoodlands is such a wonderful place not only is it set in a beautiful location the staff are amazing, always going that extra mile. My mum has been here for just over 2 years now and I can't thank them enough for the kindness, patience, compassion and love they show not just her but also me. It's a beautiful welcoming home that we were so lucky to find, my mum is very happy and cared for exceptionally well.
Cannot speak highly enough, fabulous staff, home is always clean and friendly, plenty of activities and outings, my friend is extremely happy at Woodlands. She has a wonderful room with gorgeous views which she loves.
This is a lovely home for people with dementia. They are cared for in the best way possible, with love and dignity, in a very special setting - a building of great character, with a choice of sitting rooms, all with far-reaching views, over fields of animals and the valley. The care - and indeed the management - is outstanding, and it is a joy to visit. The home was recommended to me as being head and shoulders above other care homes in the area, and it has certainly fulfilled my expectations.
I never cease to be amazed by the staff's endless kindness and compassion. They care for my mother so well and it is a great relief for me to know that she is in such good hands. The home is light and airy and always very clean. The staff go to great lengths to ensure that my mother's needs are met. Even when under pressure they still manage to bring fun and laughter into the residents' lives. My mother is very content. I could not ask for more!
My mum has been here nearly 2 years, staff and managers have given us lots of support but most of all mum which she enjoys seeing the staff. She is well looked after, I was ill but was always having updates on mum's wellbeing and pictures of her enjoying her days. Staff have made us feel very reassured that mum is doing the best she can do.
My wife has been at Woodlands Park for three months. She had been well looked after and content at another Home for two years. They were not specialists in Dementia and suggested we should have a longer-term plan. We came to Woodlands after an extensive program of my children visiting other homes in the area. Our experience at Woodlands has been excellent. Great location and views, lovely house, a warm welcome from everybody, outstandingly helpful and supportive staff, and a friendly cat! My wife is genuinely happy here and so are we. Thank you Woodlands team.
Our mum recently moved to Woodlands and we were concerned how quickly she would settle in. The staff have been amazing, they are all so friendly and welcoming and mum seems to have settled in really well. It's a beautiful house overlooking amazing views combined with lovely staff creating a real homely relaxed feel. Mum seems very relaxed here which I think is aided by the staff's experience in dealing with dementia.
Woodlands care home is amazing. Our mum has dementia and the care mum receives there is outstanding. They are always coming up with activities to keep them happy. They share posts on social media, which is a great way to involve the family of what they have been up to that day. The staff are nurturing and so patient, I really don’t know how they do their job so calmly and always with a smile. What I also like is that they do summer and Christmas fairs and many other ways in which you can pop in and see your loved ones in a relaxing warm way. I just want to say a huge thank you for all you do and how much you’re appreciated.
My mum has been a resident at Woodlands Park for over 18 months and the care she receives is wonderful. The home is a lovely old house set in beautiful countryside. The staff are warm, caring and welcoming. Knowing my mum is being so well looked after is a great comfort to my whole family.
I generally can't thank you all enough for everything you do for Nan as well as the other residents. I wish that you could see how special you all are to us, then maybe you'll just see how much we appreciate you.
Our Mum has been at Woodlands Park for 18 months now and we couldn't be happier with her care. It's not easy entrusting the care of a loved one to someone else but we are very reassured to know that Mum is in a safe, caring environment where all her needs are met. The staff are all lovely and treat the residents in a friendly and respectful way, maintaining their dignity at all times. They put on lots of stimulating activities and are always striving to improve their service. The communication is excellent and, on the few occasions when there has been cause for concern about Mum's health, they have informed us immediately and taken appropriate action to make sure that she is checked over. Woodlands Park is a lovely, friendly caring home offering the best and most appropriate care for the needs of their residents.
My mother stayed at Woodlands Park for just over 2 weeks recently for respite. Compared to her other respite stays I found this home, the staff, and the care to be far more superior. The building and gardens are beautiful with chickens, wonderful views throughout the building. The staff are friendly and supportive and the environment for all residents promotes both autonomy for residents and safeguarding. It is safe and supportive, friendly, comfortable, and accommodating for specific needs. It was wonderful to see my mum form good relationships with staff and residents in such a short time and is a placement I would consider for her long-term care with no hesitation. Thank you again to all and a special shout out to one member of staff in particular who went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome.
From the start of my mum's stay at Woodlands to the day she passed, the staff have been wonderful. Every member of staff is willing to talk to and support the relatives as well as the residents. The home is kept clean and there are always plenty of activities for residents to do. Any family member would be lucky to stay there. Thank you to all the lovely staff for looking after my mum.
A very friendly care home for dementia patients. Our dad has been very well looked after for the last few years. The staff are all good with him and he seems very happy. Would recommend it to other families.
My sister has been in Wodlands for the past five years. I have always found the home to be exceptionally friendly and professional in all aspects. I like the homely feel, and caring for the patients is always foremost in their approach. I am happy for the care they provide, knowing my sister is very well cared for.
We were reluctant to put our daddy into a care home but it became impossible to keep him at home as his Alzheimer's progressed. We had heard of Woodlands Park Care Centre through a friend who was more than happy with the excellent care her husband received. It's a beautiful building set in the Chiltern countryside. Woodlands creates a warm, family atmosphere, more intimate than the larger care homes. We felt that Daddy was much loved and part of that family. The attention and care he received were second to none, from his personal care (when he could be quite difficult), wonderful food and facilitating his love of music and singing. We were lucky to spend three days/nights with him at Woodlands at the end of his life. We were looked after so well too. Nothing was too much trouble. We were even more certain at that point that he had been in the very best place for his final year. Thank you, amazing, hard-working team, your love and hard work will never be forgotten.
At short notice, the care home was able to take my husband for a period of respite care necessitated by my being on holiday for two weeks. The manager was so helpful accommodating him and being reassuring. The staff have looked after him with great care, patience and understanding and he has appreciated all the help he has been given. There is an atmosphere of calm and there is always a carer on hand to meet any need. He has enjoyed the food and the wonderful views over the Buckinghamshire countryside and especially the garden - both observing the chickens (we used to keep chickens) and walking in the grounds. His stay has been longer than originally planned as we are also waiting to move into a house in the area. The manager has been wonderfully understanding and supportive and as a regular visitor, I have really enjoyed spending time at Woodlands.
Mum has been a resident at Woodlands Park Care Centre for over 4 years now. Sadly we lost dad last year and I had the horrible job of clearing mum and dads house ready to sell. After talking to one of the managers to ask her opinion we made arrangements to bring mum home for a final visit. Well, what can I say? Thank you just isn’t enough. The managers arranged for one of the staff members to come home with mum to help us. We had the most memorable day, without their support of giving up her day off this wouldn’t have been possible. Mum is very settled at Woodlands Park and despite me living in Cornwall I would never consider moving mum to be nearer to me, the all round care is first class. Like I say, thank you really isn’t enough.
This was the first time we have used a respite service and it was heartbreaking leaving my mother for a week while I went away for a week. However, I didn’t realise how beneficial putting her in for a week would be. This home was excellent. The manager was outstanding. She invited us to come along to a fate they were having for the Jubilee so we could get a feel of the place. I was greeted with a warm friendly smile not just by the manager but all members of staff. We got shown around the home and felt right at ease. She was compassionate and understanding as it was really hard to leave Mum there for a week but she reassured me that she would be very well looked after, which she was. On the first day of Mum's stay they picked up that Mum had a urine infection which I had missed and treated her for it straight away and when I came back from my week away my mum was like a different person. Her mood swings had stopped and she was generally happier. I will definitely use this service again.
My husband has been at Woodlands Park Care Home for nearly two years, in that time he has always been happy, very clean and treated with dignity. His needs are changing dramatically but the care given is wonderful, he is fed nutritious thickened food and his carers are gentle with him. He never smells and he looks very clean and in his own clothes. The staff have coped well during the Covid outbreak, we could FaceTime him. When we could visit again we were given the necessary masks, visors, gloves and aprons. There is always something going on for the residents, they have an excellent activity program, decorations most weeks to celebrate public holidays. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care of their residents and the care I have had too in times when I need a shoulder to lean on.
