The staff have played a huge part in my father-in-law's recovery. When I visit, my father-in-law often comments how pleased he is with his new home. My wife and I attended the Christmas party at Devon Lodge on Sunday 22 December. The entertainment, food and staff were all excellent. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Devon Lodge.
My aunt is very happy and well cared for at Devon Lodge. It is a small but cosy and homely residential home. Staff are kind, caring and accommodating. The food menus are very nourishing and healthy. There are activities every day which are well thought out and the residents are asked what they'd like to do. There are opportunities for pampering sessions like hairdressing, manicures and pedicures. The home is well maintained and the gardens are lovely. I chose this home after visiting a few others in the area and it ticked all the boxes for my Aunts care and my peace of mind.
I visit every other week my long term best friend. The staff are always very happy to ensure that my friend is aware of the visit. We are always treated to tea and biscuits and made verywelcome. The residents are very well looked after and all seem happy whenever or whatever they are doing. The staff always put themselves out for anyone but particularly the residents they ensure everyone is treated appropriately and with dignity.

My mum has been in the care of Devon Lodge for approx 2 years now. We have nothing but praise for the levels of care, activities, and spirit of community and nothing but admiration but praise and admiration for the staff that care for mum. 'Scores on the Doors' it's an 11 out of 10 for Devon Lodge. Thanks to all the staff from our family.

Lovely, caring staff with low staff turnover. High-quality provision, highly recommended. People are treated with dignity and there are always activities for residents to get involved with. Very safe and secure.
Very poor lighting in my mum's room. In general, the rest of the residence is very dark and gloomy. The decor looks very old-fashioned and needs updating badly. Note activities for the residents is a much not nearly enough to keep them entertained them need an element of fun in their lives. The front and back garden needs to be tidied and replanted. Looking uncared for especially the entrance. The ensuite carpet needs updating in my mum's room. Permanent staff are very kind and caring. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident at Devon Lodge for eleven years. I was so fortunate to find this home which has become Mother's home. She is treated with care, dignity and very much love. As her daughter, I am very grateful for everything that is done for her.
Mum entered Devon Lodge in January 2020, and very shortly afterwards the world went into lockdown! From the start, we always felt we had found the right place for Mum. Small, cozy, friendly, and a home-from-home feel about the place and the staff. Throughout the pandemic, we have been kept informed of the status of Devon Lodge, and the safety and security, and health of the residents and staff, at a time when for long periods we were unable to be there ourselves. Whenever it has been possible the staff at Devon Lodge have made the best of the visiting options allowed within the prevailing restrictions. If I need reassurance about the home it comes in the comments from Mum herself who continually tells me that she is perfectly happy to be there and feels very well cared for and safe. She has her favourites too! The one thing I take from my contact with the management and staff is the resident-centric nature of what they do, it's the resident's home and they come first.
