View Full Details of The Stratfords Residential HomeA very big thank you to all the staff who put on a lovely spread for my brother's birthday he has had a fantastic day and loved his birthday cake and enjoyed having a dance to Elvis with the staff all the residents had a lovely day xx
The staff are very helpful and understanding. I would like to see my brother being paid a bit more attention, there should be an empty glass next to the water jug. If I have any questions, the managers/team leaders are very helpful.
The Stratford's care team have been so friendly and supportive of both my father and me. The decision to move my father into a care home was so difficult, as it is for anyone who has had to deal with this huge step. The care team were so welcoming and attentive when my father moved in May. He has a very comfortable bedroom and is able to sit with the other residents in the pleasant lounge. Although he is generally a private and quiet man, he has enjoyed the activities and outings. He has access to the small garden area as he loves to sit in the sun. I am able to easily visit and take him out for a walk along the High Street and along the river. He recently had a birthday and the team made the day so special for him and the vittles' and cake were splendid. All in all, a lovely home with truly such a caring team. It is now September and from time to time my father has been a challenge for them and they have shown such professionalism and understanding. Thank you.
I live in Edinburgh and have come down to see my 86-year-old sister in the care home several times over the last year and have phoned her most nights too over the last year. She is happy to live in the Stratfords. The carers treat her with humanity and cheerfully, as an individual. The home is clean and serves a choice of diverse, good-quality meals. She appreciates very much living in her care home environment. I too appreciate all the good factors from the home environment that make her life happy.
We had to find a home for Mum pretty quickly. Phoned The Stratfords, made an appointment and as soon as we walked through the door we knew it was the right place for Mum. The staff all came and introduced themselves and were so welcoming to us. The manager showed us round and we didn't hesitate in taking the room. Brought Mum over 2 days later and straightaway she loved it - all the girls on duty came and said Hello and were so kind to us all. But they don't just look after Mum - they are there for me any time I need them. Always happy to chat and talk me through what's happening - apologies to them if I'm a nuisance but all this is new to me! I honestly cannot believe how lucky we were to find The Stratfords - somebody up there was obviously looking down on me the day I made the call. So to everyone at the home - I say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart - you are simply the best.
I can only praise all the staff at The Stratfords. My mum went to hospital today and I was informed and was waiting to hear from the hospital but I had a call at 9pm from the staff to say she was safely back at home. As I can’t talk to her because she is deaf, time was taken to make sure she understood I was on the phone and wishing her goodnight and sending love. She blew kisses on the phone. This is a wonderful small home for anyone who needs to be taken care of. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of my Mum.
My uncle moved to his new home at The Stratfords at the end of 2021. We have been delighted with the level of care he has received so far, made all the better by the great team who work there. The level of communication between the 'home' and me has been excellent so I feel included in the support that he is receiving.
Nice friendly staff, she likes living in the property and also loves the patio area.
Mum is relaxed and happy in Stratfords. Staff are attentive, skilled and caring. Mum particularly likes the food, and the home is small enough not to feel - or smell - like an institution.
